As a writer, teacher, and librarian, the last segment killed me. I'm listening to an audiobook and reading another. I'm usually reading multiple books at one time. Reading creates empathy, which enhances listening and critical thinking skills. This country needs it.

This explains so much of what I see in my classroom. Kids hate to read. Why? Because they learn it from their parents. So sad. People - read a book, especially in front of your children. They see everything you do, may as well make them good examples!!!

Sadly, only a few people are reading these days, and someone asked me to change my content. Your message encourages me to continue.
