The rifle arrived today and I dialed in the scope just a couple hours ago czcams.com/users/postUgkxQt2uORDRfFOVSrO4idv4B90ThT6EOnEL . I haven’t shot with a scope in probably 25 years. The X on the left was my target. (the shot almost in the bullseye on the right X was my father in laws first shot after I made adjustments) The two shots circled are my first 2 shots. Then I brought it down - shot once. Then brought it over to the left. From there zeroed it in to dead center. This all was from 25 yards out. Follow instructions carefully when mounting the scope. So far I'm very happy with the purchase.
As a hunter, I have never needed over 1 shot with a bow on large game. Any shot over 1,is a plus. Thanks brother and Umarex. As always Umarex created a real winner.
We agree, with seven shots per fill, you have 6 shots more than you should need!
A really good longbow or recurve... 200 ish fps. High rated compound bow... 330 ish fps.. (which can range more than that depending on manufacturer) Cross bow speed... VERY expensive crossbows can reach 360 ish fps. This air bow gun... exceeds all that.

Not new, FX have been making nicer but more expensive ones in Sweden for a while now. Some of those can be switched to slugs or arrows.

I bought it. Shot it. Hunted with it. Very satisfied. It's not a crossbow. It's not a bullet rifle. Its different. Don't compare. I had a crossbow and i will take this thing any time above it.
Looks amazing. If I ever decided to give bow hunting a try, I'll buy an AirSaber. It has as much power as the most powerful crossbows (300lb draw weight) that cost near $2000.
As others have mentioned it needs tested with broadhead arrow tips.

I was able to buy one last month, purchased a had pump for it and let me tell you it is a work out and a half will need to buy the compressor down the road. If anyone knows of a quiver setup please share i have had a tough time trying to locate one. thanks.
How much does the velocity drop from shoot to shoot actually show up on a target at say 50 yards? Would it be several inches?

Thanks for your kind words! Umarex isn't trying to directly compete with the Airbow, which is regulated and so forth, but the AirSaber costs less than half of what the Airbow costs. And it is as accurate as you could need. So if you want to hunt big game with an airgun but don't have nearly a grand to spend, the AirSaber is by far the best option.

And as well as the weapon itself most people that use PCPs have a reservoir to recharge it. This is often made of fibreglass. Charged to 3500 psi. I used to have a PCP air rifle but it made my wife nervous and, on reflection, I had to agree with her and sold it. As you say, it's like having a bomb in the house.

At 50 yards with broadheads it will be absolutely lethal. Most states still haven't approved big game hunting with airguns, but more and more are each year. What state do you live in?

@@UmarexAir say with a 12 arrow 'quiver/mag' capable of delivering said arrows in 6 to 8 seconds at even half of the foot pounds of the AirSaber. For a compact tactical that would be pretty formidable. Especially if the PCP is like 24 inches long. Ideal for tight passageways and brush etc.

Given what a crossbow can do to soft body armor it's not that stupid. If you're worried an intruder might have some AliExpress or eBay kevlar it might just give you a better first shot kill probability than a handgun.

We picked up some standard crossbow darts and they fit. Not sure of the diameter.

They are legal in canada and nope its not considered a firearm as it dosnt shoot 500 fps , it's an airgun

$50 foot pumps on ebay are awesome quality and value for money.
Got mine for $271, hand pump that works easily for $50 and a morrell double duty target for $84. Not that bad buddy

Show the accuracy at 60 yards
A valid question, at least 50 yards. I spend my time elk hunting so everything is 30yards or closer, but 50 is a reasonable shot if you have been bow hunting a while.
I think realistically you'd be hunting with this within 40-50 yards, but you can group 2 inches at 60 yards all day. I also own the air javelin the c02 arrow launcher that shoots about 160fps less than the air saber. Im afraid to shoot a grouping after I "robin hooded" two separate arrows (edit: @ 25 yards). If your just shooting at targets and don't have to worry about prey jumping the shot, you could have fun with this at 60yards all day!

Not sure about these, but the FX airbows struggle because the tips burst out if they aren't really well secured, normal arrows don't need so much.
Regular arrows are likely to explode
Only legal high FPE weapon a Canadian citizen can own with a record.... Not everyone shops at Walmart for meat...

The arrow looks like a standard arrow, with a modified notch end to be the female receiver sleeve to the male insert of the "rifle". So I would get a few of the trade mark arrows, then use your survival skills to learn how to modify and make your own.

462 fps is faster than any crossbow I know of but the arrows are much lighter
No they're not and you can add wt. by using a wide range of heavier broadheads or field points. That said, even with 100 gr. it is hard to stop the extreme penetration with typical targets unless you drop the power.

You know, it's really too bad because it is a really nice looking are gone. But Most states will not allow you to use that to deer hunt with unless you are on a Game Ranch. I know I live in Michigan and they are not going to let you use something like at the deer hunt with gun season or bow season. They will not let you use that gun.
There is a lot of discussion going on with many states so we hope to see them open up in the future.

If they can regulate the gauntlet then why not this?
The Gauntlet is very easy to regulate due to the bottle system, plus, since this one is for hunting, you should only really need a shot or two at the most.

Velocity spread is too wide and will result in different arrow drops esp. past 35 yds. I bet there is at least a 4" variance from first and second shots at 50 yds.
Yes, but you typically only need one shot. And 4 inches should still be in the kill zone for big game.
