    Thank you for sharing!
    My airSaber shoots +/- 430 FPS, with a 350 grn arrow. That's 144 lb/ft of energy. Here's how to figure out what numbers you're getting, by just knowing the speed your shooting and weight/grain of your projectile - arrow, bolt, bullet, slug, pellet...
    Easy formula to check the kinetic energy output of your setup...
    Speed X Speed X Weight ÷ 450240 = LB FT Energy
    (example: 430 X 430 X 350 ÷ 450240 = 143.7)

    Thank you for the video, I have been researching these Airsaber arrow rifles and what most reviewers don’t say is that the unit needs a very high pressure air compressor to fill the rifle up. You mentioned this so thank u . Your standard garage 150 psi with tank is useless with this. In Canadian funds that’s $600 for rifle scope combo plus another $70O Or so for a high pressure 4000 psi compressor. U can buy the high pressure hand pump and get a workout for an hour just to fill it up somewhat. Or now buy the umarex high pressure air compressor at S549 USD - more in Canadian funds. Just putting this out there for those starting off to consider all the costs .

    Is the anyway of quieting this down a bit? If you miss the first shot the deer will scatter pretty quick. Guessing a conventional silencer won’t work.

    • @wildrangeringreen
      @wildrangeringreen Před 2 lety

      if you extend and bell the shroud and add baffles, it would make it quieter, though never as quiet as a normal bullet airgun would be; as the the opening has to still be large to accommodate the fletches, plus the "bore" of the moderator wouldn't be mostly plugged up as the air expands in it.

    I'm having a hard time loading up an arrow in it. I have to use strength to slide it in. And it does not click at the end. Does anyone else have this problem?

    I'm hoping this channel is still alive. I just bought my gun last night. So excited. But it has an issue, it's sold out in my entire city, and Umartex is closed down due to Covid. When I screw in a co2, ALL the air immediately blows out the barrel. The gun was not cocked and the safety was on. So I cocked it and cycled the chamber, Inserted a new co2, and it did it again. I can't afford to keep throwing co2's in it. Anyone have any ideas what I can do? Mine is the Javelin, not the Saber.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  Před 3 lety

      The Channel is very much alive.. if it's blowing out the barrel then stop.. give UX a call when they are open and see what they say. I've not seen that happen before.
      Cheers

    Hey bud I have a question about a tank or compressor. I have an HP .30 cal ss plus on the way with no way to fill it yet. I live in Las Vegas,NV so I can go to scuba shops to fill a tank. However, from what you said in this video, would a compressor be a better bet? Or should I get an Air Venturi 94 ft tank and the Umarex comp you spoke of... Thank you

    • @wildrangeringreen
      @wildrangeringreen Před 2 lety

      tanks cost $200+; and a usable, lower-cost, compressor costs $350. You have to pay a bit (depends on who and where) to get a tank filled, plus you have to drive to the shop to get it filled. You only have to pay for electricity to run the compressor (unless you steal electric from your neighbor's garage or something, lol (joking, don't do that, lol)). Tank has a life of about 10-15 years, then no one's going to refill it, and they have to be tested periodically, or no one's going to fill it. Small compressors also take up less space than tanks.

      @footejacob96 Před 2 lety +1

      Crossbows are shooting close to this speed also. Not sure what weight the standard bolt is but they do fine. Also with the air saber all the force is driving from the tip of the arrow instead of the back, making them fly more straight

      Thats hardly a reason to write off the rifle. The scope is not even made by the same company, try a different one.
