Back Again. First of all I own both the Seneca Aspen and the Dragon Claw. I would say they are both number 0ne. They are just in a different field from each other. The Aspen is still my go to for varmit hunting (squirrels primarily) and is quite good at it. It is very accurate. I go for the head on the squirrel and hit it 8 out of 10 times. As for the pump "issues". I've learned a few things and the most important is a little oil goes a long way. It pumps up nice now. The Dragon Claw is an impressive gun (50 cal). When it fires it sounds like a large caliber gun and it really puts the hurt on big varmits, i.e. Feral Hogs. I have a hand pump. It looks like a bicycle pump on steroids. It gets the job done quickly however and doesn't require additional equipment to compress and store compressed air. For those who wish to know, the pump is a Umarex.

Critters in the back yard don't stand a chance when the Aspen is out there. The on board hand pump is somewhat sketchy. Sometimes I am not sure it is even adding any air but after 15 - 20 pumps I can see the pressure going up so it is working. The pump is not difficult to use.

I just bought two guns from this website as a Canadian and just got them here The MP5 is leaking and the mp7 brace stop broke during shipping and paid over 500$ Canadian what a great Christmas for my kids😕
I am extremely happy with my aspen! I heard a lot of issues but I figured I could fix anything that came up but 6 months in and several thousand rounds I have had zero issues and I can take this thing on a month long excursion and if I brought enough lead and some oil I’m going to be shooting. The .25 hits pretty hard for what it is as well. Just my experience but it has been great

I've returned 4 Aspens bc of pump freeze-up. This one has endured a year, maybe because of the extremes taken to keep the pump interior cool: the PSI is maxed at 2,900, giving the most accuracy. At 10 shots, it is always relubed with pure silicone oil, then slowl pumped up again for only 10 pumps. I wait 15 minutes between sets because don't know the interior temperatures. After 2 sets of 10 pumps, only 8 pumps are made each set. Sometimes when the pressure is near 2,900, I make only 5 pumps, always waiting at least 15 minutes between sets. The Aspen is great in: 🔹not needing a compressor. 🔹the trigger is fine in every respect. 🔹 the safety switch is in the exact right place, is quiet if moved thru its travel while keeping the finger on the lever. 🔹 the shroud end can be easily made into a moderator, and styrofoam can be added inside the shroud. 🔸But the stock makes a lot of clicking noise which I've remedied by cutting and remounting it. 🦅Buy a pellet gun - become an engineer in 6 months.
Have they fixed the pump problem. It locks up and you can't pull it or pump it .. On the Aspen. Sent mine in for repairs and it still locks up . I have to dump all the air and then it works right.. Just a pain
@Bill Reynolds , 13 months ago I asked that to Pyramid Air and the representative said yes. So I bought a second Aspen, because everything about them is right when the pump is working. But within 2 months the new gun's pump froze. When talking with a Seneca engineer last November, he never said the pump problem has been fixed. I don't know the entire story of if the pump problem has been remedied, but elsewhere in this comment section I've typed the process I've used to keep my pump functioning for almost a year so far.

Love my Aspen! Always enough air ander fully adjustible tot your wishes. TIP: rub some Vaseline on the moving parts u der your gun. P. 'S. Never use silicone oil!!!! It will dissolve the rubber rings!!!
