Love my urban, 63 squirrels last season! Remember that if your shooting up at an extreme angle you need to aim about 1 mill dot low, sometimes half a mill dot depending on the angle

I debated back and forth for weeks on a PCP or break barrel. Both are excellent, but went with PCP for fast follow up shots!

Great review! That is a super nice rifle. I love being able to shoot quietly on my property. Very economical way to practice shooting & maintain your skills. I hope to see more air rifle content from you in the future!

Thanks! It holds really tight groups @30yds. Hopefully will do the same @50yds. Modern air rifles are quite impressive!

I own a few rifles and a few of them are high end and I reach for my urban every time unless I need my .25 or my .30. I use crosman pellets and you will love the crosman pellets. I use a stage 4 hill brand hand pump, you will not regret it they send you enough O ring to rebuild your air pump twice.

For smaller jobs the GAMO definitely does the trick! Such a convenient, economical and quiet tool!

Was using the Jsb 18’s while the 16’s were on order. Ran out of the 18’s and tried the Crosman 19’s i use in my Magnum. Really impressed on the long range accuracy. Was popping trees 50+ yards out and hitting where i aimed at. They hit really hard too. May have found a great pellet by luck.

The crosman hollow points are devastating on small game. Thoroughly surprised by the performance from a “budget” pellet.
I would like to test a higher end pellet, but the GAMO just performs so well already with crosman pellets.

Those Crosman pellets are what I found to be the most accurate out of my Urban. As for scopes I also use CVlife on some air rifles but to me if you want a decent cheap scope get a Center point with adjustable objective.

I’m impressed with the crosman pellets especially considering they’re hollow point. The cv life scope is decent, but it’s got bad glare on the glass. I’m guessing no anti reflective coating on the lenses. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!👍

Crap just bought the urban with a UTG scope. I have a nice center point on my first Benji break barrel that is finished (scope still good)

Bought the same scope, looked nice with plenty of features, but could not zero it. Pushed the reticle clear over to one side, but still not centered.
    Rifle is nice, though.

Surprised by the cheap glass, mines been holding since initial sight in. Might have got lucky! Was going to upgrade after this video, but it does what it needs to do!

Nice review and great choice of air rifle. The scope should be returned as defective. Any scope that is not clear and does not adjust properly should be returned to amazon in less than the 30 day return policy. Monstrum, BSA or Hammers are much better scopes for a few dollars more. Air rifle scopes should have adjustable objectives for best accuracy at range.

After testing the GAMO, I think it deserves better glass than whats on it. I wasn’t expecting such precision from an air rifle. This is the first “modern” air rifle I’ve shot. It’s impressive! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thank you! Yes scope is cheap but it’s held zero all this time from initial test in this video and hasn’t let me down on any shot yet!

Thank you for the info. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this gun. The noise reduction suppressor is a good selling point for me. How's the scope holding up?

    • @THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD
      @THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD  Před rokem +1

It’s doing well. No complaints so far. Over 1000 pellets down the barrel now. Scope holding zero since initial sight in. No loss of accuracy from the air rifle. I do need to swab the bore and clean. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Nice, any idea how fast the pellets were traveling ? I have a tin of the same pellets, haven't tried them yet.

I don’t have a chronograph. From research they should avg 800-850 fps. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Overall, a good video but, you may want to check your math when calculating the muzzle energy of a Gamo Urban (or any weapon). If it is shooting a 14.3 grain pellet at a muzzle velocity of "800 to 850 feet per second" as you stated in the video, the muzzle energy would be 20 - 23 FPE, not 25 -26 FPE.
