      Newsflash, STOL aircraft ARE in fact “draggy aircraft” that’s how they achieve take off and landings in less than 200’. You don’t land sleek/fast aircraft in the backcountry………

    Would have loved to see fuel burn and rpm ranges at 7-10 thousand feet.

      We can do that. However, maybe more interesting in a CruZer model that routinely fly up there.

    Was this LOP operation or just kinda winging it the mixture. I wonder if anyone has ever built a Zenith STOL and figyred our retractable slats

      I'm working on it. Pneumatic cylinders. Pressure relief valve will allow airflow to push slats flush in cruise.

      The Peggastol wing was retractable but not sold or made anymore

      Much easier to build a CruZer with vortex generators and big wheels than the other way around
