    Another way to improve my French - listening to youtube videos on subjects that interest me. There are dozens of French people putting out videos on knitting and reading - two subjects that I particularly enjoy.

    J’ai appris français il y a plusieurs annĂ©es au lycĂ©e. Tout ce que j’ai retenu est grĂące Ă  la musique, aux vidĂ©os et la logique d’une langue maternelle qui le ressemble (chez moi, l’espagnol). Parfois j’ai peur de tester mon français et me rendre compte que j’ai trop oubliĂ©

    Yeah, it is true - learned french at courses, have been living in France for several years - still do not understand anything, especially on tv. Speak all right, understand close to 0

    My main problem with learning in general is that it just takes so much time and effort. Why don't we have a Matrix style system yet.😋

    Great contents as always!
    I find it quite useful to think that spoken vs written French has parallels in English.
    Formal/standard English: "I don't know what you want, but I want to go to home"
    In fast spoken English this could easily be " I dunno what y'want, but I wanna go home"
    The second version I guess would be difficult for a new speaker of Englsh to understand.

    U should tell about subjunctive. Somehow i never learned it at courses. Obviously the teacher decided that was not necessary

    • @landmannmike
      @landmannmike Pƙed rokem

      Actually the easiest way is to learn the subjunctive in English first, then learn it in French: For example "I suggest that he go there" being the correct subjunctive mood (using "go" when most people would use "goes")

Second j'ai connais cette phrases parce que j'ai un Francais lover ans ago. Quand un personne Francaise dit le Francais a moi je comprend le Francais parce que le context et les gestures de la personne. OK Merci beaucoup. Je vous apprecie. Fait un excellent journee. Bisou.

    Bonjour Geraldine, Your videos are always great but your pronunciation in English of “vocabulary” is off. It’s very close to the French pronunciation - vo cab u lary.
    Best wishes, Phil.
