    It is time for the newest instalment in that beloved cinematic automotive CZcams experience where we film practical cars that can be bought for less than £1,000 in a manner befitting of their inexpensive value! This may go horribly wrong...
    This time we examine a 2001 Toyota Corolla 1.4 GS 3dr (E110), probably the most sensible car we have ever featured on No Budget Reviews, and get excited about a light coloured interior, a chain cam engine, the wonderful ease of driving and really little of any consequence at all.... Nothing untoward, then!
    As an independent vehicle consultant, I take potential buyers through the whole car buying process from choosing a make and model to a vehicle handover and road tax. In addition to information on this service, I also have a selection of written and video reviews of cars that I have owned, hired, borrowed or have somehow come into my possession. Please use the Contact Me page on my website to get in touch, visit my Facebook page for latest updates and share this video if you like it! Thank you for watching.

    Hi i am from Australia and I really enjoy your reviews to see the differences between cars you got in the UK and cars we get here.
    This is a prime example - a 1.4 Corolla is unimaginable here, we always got 1.6 or 1.8 at least. Another example is the MG models - your MG3 is (enviably) manual only, whilst ours is saddled with a four-speed auto. Same with our ZS models.

  • @scottishcarenthusiastsandtrain

    My dad went and had a look at one of these many years ago but the 5 door version, Toyota would not play ball with a good trade in for my dad's escort so he walked out and bought a Almera instead. Great looking car is the Corolla and what a great colour as well.

      @lloydvehicleconsulting  Před 3 lety +2

      No sir, she saw the car in person! The five door versions are more common, although you do occasionally see the saloons as well. The estates are very rare. Funny how they wouldn't offer your father a decent price back in the day.

  • @colinhicks4174
    @colinhicks4174 Před 3 lety +1

    It’s interesting, 20 years ago would not have given this a second look because it was not ‘cool’. But this looks immaculate. Especially the engine bay. And it’s got most of the mod cons you would expect today. Although it seems an odd place for the CD changer, right where it could be kicked by rear (ie children!) passengers. Also is the rear wiper parked correctly?
    The walk around was slightly distracting, oooo a Nissan Stanza(?), Tomcat, another R8, another Toyota that may not be in as good condition and an Alfa (meh we can forget the last one). So that many more videos to come. 🙂

    • @lloydvehicleconsulting

      You're not confusing this with Ian Seabrook's channel, are you, sir? Wiper parking tends not to be discussed, unless, of course, we are doing No Budget Reviews: Accidental HubNut Rip-Off Edition...
      You can speculate all you want about future channel content, sir, but only some of your guesses are correct. You will note that the first of those was indeed right, and the video is now live on the channel. As for the rest of them...

    The Corolla was definitely a 'world' car for Toyota and, with better than average reliability, a favourite with motorists who just want trouble free driving. This was an exceptional example for the year.
    Just wondering, is there any particular reason why "we" don't talk about di**els on this channel? It could argued that for some manufacturers their oil burners are the best engines in their range.
