Cars and buses smashed in aftermath of cavalry horses escape in central London

- People were injured, cars were smashed and police were at the scene after horses from the Household Cavalry escaped in central London.
It is unclear how the horses escaped and were seen galloping across the centre of the capital.
The army confirmed that all the horses had since been rounded up and returned to barracks.

Whilst its a pest having damage to your vehicle, its an inanimate object at the end of the day. These poor horses felt pain and were injured, something a vehicle cannot do.
Just watched another you tube channel and ITV News channel all horses have been recaught and have been given veterinary care ( expect nothing less from the Household cavalry) all troopers given medical care.

You really need educating. The horse isn’t insured, the owners of the vehicles will have to claim from their own insurance company to cover the damage. It’s one of those situations caused by horses being on the road far longer than motor vehicles. That is unless it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt that the horse/horses were being ill treated beforehand.
It’s comments like yours that prove that O2 is wasted on some people.
I hope to God no horses were hurt and all those people injured recover soon.

I feel so sorry for those poor horses. There was a white horse who had lots of blood on him seen running with a black horse. I do hope they can help those horses. I heard some people were injured, too.

First of that horse collided with a bus that was stopped 🤨🤡 and you are so weird and rude blaming a generation for the horse accident.
Scary situation could have been a lot worse. I used to work with horses they are big and very powerful animals and when they spook unexpectedly and are out of control like that they can be extremely dangerous! The horses look fine it looks like the bus came off worse. I’m not a vet I wasn’t there. Hope horses and pedestrians are okay and make a full recovery ❤

They say a construction site with rubble making noise, but they’re trained to ignore loud noises, one of them was covered in blood or it could be paint from oil protestors when they throw it about

Poor lads❤ they really made a mess of those vehicles just because some nupties dropped building rubble from high up too close to them. They'll be getting the best vets care I'm sure and will be back on duty hopefully soon. I hope everyone involved has a speedy recovery but if I'm honest my heart is with those gorgeous horse❤❤❤❤❤

Apparently, the horses ran into the london underground and then disappeared.
The Militrary need to urgently review how they manage service horses undertaking road work within the context of modern day challenges. The events earlier this week may have been avoided if a pre-ride reconesance excercise had taken place. This is a must in today's London. The Militrary need to work with the mounted police regarding safety in preparing horses for public duty and roadwork. Hi VIS(ability) PPE was missing from both horses and riders. This may have caught the eye of the construction workers prompting them to stop work whilst the troop past by. The police use PPE effectively for horse and rider. The army needs to realise that safety comes before traditional exercise dress. Following the British Horse Society Riding and Road Safety Guidelines for a start. An outcome from these events must be that Hi VIS PPE is mandatory for roadwork
