Inside Edition went to Air Hollywood and met up with flight attendant and CZcamsr Jamila Lynn, who says her colleagues never order warm beverages when they fly. “The thing about the coffee and tea, the pipes are rarely cleaned,” she said. She also has advice on a soda: Diet Coke takes longer to pour because it fizzes up more than any other soda on a flight. #InsideEdition

On one flight, a male flight attendant was on one knee right in front of me tying his shoe lace. I said "it's a bit early to propose isn't it? I mean..we have the whole flight to get to know one another.." He laughed sooo hard, and before long I had all sorts of extra drinks and goodies 😂
Once, I tripped on the way to the bathroom, right behind an attendant, on my way to the floor, I tried to grab on to a seat and grabbed the attendants behind by accident. I was mortified! I was apologizing profusely while she helped me up. She laughed and said, “usually someone has to buy me a drink before they can do that.” I was so grateful she had a sense of humor.😂

The airlines charge much too much to not clean the trays. And to not properly disinfect the blankets and pillows. And to not use bottled water for the coffee and tea. That’s not just disgusting, it’s appalling.

as an ex ramp agent at pearson, i would definetly vouch for her saying not to drink water on an airplane, some of those guys drop potable water lines on the ground and dont give a rats ass about it being sanitary or not, as long as the water is in the plane, their job is done. thats why they say dont drink the water in an airplane, unless if its bottled
oh my god, the water line touches the ground? deer lord save us all. I should really do something about my waterline running 1600ft underground. and tell the city to do something about all the dirty water line that runs back to the water tower, just gross! enough is enough! they should disinfect it once a day too for free, because there is so much dirt touching it. Oh and the graveyard nearby giving off all the body juices, the graveyard should give me free water because I feel unsafe. :)

This is very informative, props to her and her experience. They should put these kinds of tips and warnings in accessible videos on the plane.

No allowed. 1 can is for 3 passengers.
On some flights or airlines, I’ve seen them just hand out the mini sized cans with a cup to the passenger instead of pouring soda. If I’ve seen them pour soda, it’s from large liter bottles.
I have gotten both mini sized cans like banana chachen mentioned, and have gotten regular cans, although I asked for the whole can, and yes, many times they just pour from the large bottles, but that is rather new, well, before 2000 I used to get the cans... ;) or even a small bottle of wine... 9/11 messed it all up :(
Last year I went on student exchange and on the plane we would order so much coke since it was free. The flight attendants would just start bringing us a full can each so we would call them less often

@NCR Trooper water in our houses usually contains a small dose of chlorine which cleans the pipes
@NCR Trooper shouldnt need cleaning if the water is treated properly. The only 'danger' to would be water that has remained in a pipe or tank for too long. The water will warm and dormant bacteria will start to multiply. Thats why I always let the tap run for a minute when I havent been home for a while (a week or 2).
This is why the tap water in my country doesnt have chlorine in it. Its about 3 day time window between being pumped up, treated and usage.

If she is fired under this premise, one of the jobs of a flight attendant is ensuring the safety of those on board the flight. So she is in her right for giving such Information. She’s totally right about being nice to flight attendants. Just before e pandemic I went to visit my husband in Brazil on NYE. I felt bad that the flight attendants were working on a holiday so I bought them chocolates as a gift because I really appreciated being able to see my husband. I was unexpectedly switched from economy to business class just because I was kind to them. Best chocolate sundae of my life!

Yes she is i gave the piolets that flew me to las Vegas on my way to nationals a picture of me and what my title was and what miss amazing was the whole flight crew was amazing to me and my mom we flew allegent you have to buy your beverages and snacks on alleagent they told my mom and i that what we wanted was on them. With delta they upgrade our seats for being so kind to the piolet and flight attendants on a delta flight to nashville when we landed in nashville the piolet came on the intercom and wished us miss amazing reps by state title luck and asked the people on the flight to give us a round of applause has everyone was leaving they all told me good luck and congrats. She's seriously misinformed about the L&I process. We had a similar incident and the person was on L&I for almost 6 months, and then sued the Airline I worked for. She won.

She’s absolutely right. I once requested a cup of hot water and with the dim lighting inside the cabin, I failed to pay attention of what I was drinking. Turning out that the water was unclean with some rusty taste. Got very sick that night in my hotel.

What my family has done in the past is when it comes to coffee, we get it before the flight. First we wait until we until we get through TSA gates first. Then after, we get coffee at Starbucks, because most flights(at least from my experience) allows drinks on board, but we have our own coffee. The only time I order a drink on board is if it's bottled water, or canned drinks.
