DNA Test Confirms Orphan Natalia Grace’s Real Age

  • DNA test results confirm the true age of Natalia Grace, who's been at the center of a bizarre controversy. In 2010, she was adopted by a family who was told she was a 7-year-old Ukrainian orphan. However, her adoptive parents claimed they discovered she was really an adult with dwarfism and that she was just posing as a child. During a docuseries, Grace took a DNA test that proved she was a child when she was adopted.

@youtube-handle-are-a-joke Yes, I get that. I've been there myself looking younger than my stated age, having to pull out my ID at every stop and turn. But this case is different. We're talking a child and a man who by law, legally sits on the court bench with a robe and a gavel who can make inform decisions on people's lives, whether good or bad. He should have had a DNA test done on her to determine her correct age or how close in proximity to her correct age, instead of going by just the words of some legal experts alone or do it in addition to the expert opinion, based off the adoptive parents' suspicions. But no, he just sat in his court/chamber and decided himself to up jump her age to 22 without any DNA proof to back up his decision therefore, leaving a 9-year-old child to live by herself as an adult and her adoptive parents' thinking she's old enough to do so. That was not right or the correct legal protocol.

about 2 weeks after the last episodes airing, the show's producers got a shocking phone call from her new adoptive parents. They claimed natalia had been confrontational with them and stabbing them with accusations, that they're holding her hostage, among other claims. They told the producers that they're done with her, and i'm assuming they kicked her out, because she no longer lives with them, instead is living with friends. I had to decide whether to leave the bathroom or not to go get my mom and get help or wait and possibly die. If my great aunt hadn't calmed me down and convinced me I was going to be okay, I would have thought I had something severely wrong with me. I just was very tall and developed really early. I was 5'10" tall by 10 years old (and parents of other kids in my grade regularly thought I was held back several years or slow because of it) and didn't grow an inch past that point. We don't all develop exactly the same. To be physically disabled like Natalia, abandoned as a child, and forced to fend for herself is legitimately disgusting. This poor woman.

I've known many immigrant children and the ones who started English any older than eight or nine ended up with a noticeable accent. So in my mind Natalia, who sounds entirely American with no noticeable accent, must have arrived in the US as a child. And this confirms it. Since she arrived in America from Ukraine and bounced around several foster homes before the Barnetts took her in, she would have been maybe seven or eight when she began learning English. The poor girl, being passed around and abandoned and having ludicrous accusations made of her. It must have been such a traumatic experience. Run to Canada..as a Canadian we don't accept them as our own. Must be a way she can sue them somehow. Had to go on Dr.Phil and put through the ringer at such a young age. Left alone in a apartment with no food. This is a injustice that needs to be made right. So sick of child abuse and unaccountability.

How did she live all by herself for an entire year if she was a child? And during that time, was sexually assaulting children. You need to re-watch the show and go back to the part where the grandma who lived right next to her speaks. She is the only unbiased person in the entire show.

Did the court not order a dna test before they exonerated the adoptive parents? If they didn't order a test that was very negligent just plain bad practice.

What shocks me is I didn’t see people call out the Barrnets immediately for assuming they adopted an adult with their claim she had pubic hair and a period. If I encountered that in a child I just adopted we would be running to specialists and even more so with a medically fragile child.

DNA testing can determine your "biological age", which may not be the same as your chronological age. Some people age faster or slower, so the DNA test might not be entirely accurate. It does give a better idea than just taking the word of people who want to abandon the person.

@@AgentXaostrue, and further in her defense, it was my understanding that it's more common to have a biological age older than your chronological age than vice versa, but i could be wrong. Either way, it would mean that at the time they abandoned her, she was certainly a minor who had serious disabilities.

You can clearly see in all the pictures she’s a child in them. It’s so messed up how she’s been treated by them and how society has treated her. As a guilty person when all along she’s been an innocent child treated as an adult. My god bless this young adult. 🙏🏽❤️💐
