Amazon Driver Takes Dip in Customer’s Pool Amid Heatwave

- Nearly one in five Americans are experiencing dangerous heat levels with some of the United States dealing with temperatures well above normal. It's leading some people to get creative about cooling off. An Amazon driver received a refreshing surprise as he made a delivery in the blazing California sun. The homeowner left a note inviting him to take a dip in the pool. The delivery driver put his phone on a table and then dived into the pool fully clothed.
You should change the title to " Customer allows Amazon driver to take a dip in his pool". Alot of people thought he just went for a swim without permission looking at the title.
to be fair that could have been on purpose to get more clicks
I was also under the impression that he jumped in without permission
That's the plot twist.
That was intentional.
Welcome to the internet.
The fact that someone is willing to jump in a pool with clothes on and continue doing their job soaking wet just tells you how bad it is.
Yeah it must be really really bad
Didn't even take his shoes off!!!
lol his give a F meter just wasn't running that day. Good for him. Looks like he just needed that at that moment.
Yes!
He'll dry out in an hour
As a amazon driver, I can tell you that the driver dried up in about 10-15 minutes being in hot weather. Appreciate you delivery drivers!

I cannot stand the thought of her in that heat while pregnant. God bless her.

Petitions need to be circulating the internet now to get air-conditioning added to all delivery trucks, ASAP!! It should be mandatory for working conditions to be safe for all employees and companies refusing should be suffer SEVERE penalties. It's inhumane. Enough is enough.

It's good to know there's still good people out there! Gives me some faith in humanity. And if no one has worked outside in Arizona when it's 108 degrees I doubt people comprehend how hot it actually feels like. I used to work in stucco in Arizona near Phoenix. I worked 12 hour days in the summer. I did get somewhat used to the heat because I lived there for 14 years. Once you over exert yourself in that kind of heat it can be life-threatening. It'll kill you if you're not used to the heat and don't know how to not give yourself heat stroke
The Amazon driver was likely completely dry in less than fifteen minutes in that heat. Much respect to him for taking the customers permission and getting himself a few minutes of relief. Thanks to those customers looking out for working people. Most of us have had a job at some time.

I'm born and raised in Oregon, n.w area and went to visit family in Phoenix Arizona end of June. My first day there 113°. Even the water to wash hands was too hot. You literally had to let it run for a minute and if you forgot, you burnt yourself. It's a different kind of person who can live there. I think of all the vulnerable people who work in it and pray they stay safe ❤🙏
I'm also from Oregon. I went down to Phoenix a couple years ago and it was about 110 or hotter. It was monsoon season. Later in the evening around 9pm I remember it starting to rain pretty heavily, and it was disgusting because it was still warm out lol.

It's nice to hear people being so kind to one another when the mainstream media is constantly bombarding us with negativity. That Amazon driver is very lucky to be able to take a quick dip in the pool on a hot day like that.

Your right, one of UPS's stipulations not to go on strike was air-conditioning in the trucks, I don't think that's a lot to ask for. The United States post office mail trucks aren't air conditioned either, why?

I used to work for the electrical power company as a meter reader before the new digital meters came out, when readings were done house to house, business to business... and I constantly suffered from heat injury or stress of some kind doing that job. Before that I served in the military and served in Afghanistan and other extreme heat areas, where the heat and humidity was an operational threat. It's nice to see that some people take such consideration for those that work in extreme heat environments, not everyone helps out or cares about these things if it doesn't affect them.
I’m an Amazon driver and the kindness and thoughtfulness from homeowners is appreciated more than words can express! We have to follow some pretty strict guidelines including EOC (Engine Off at every stop Compliance). This means any cold air we’re able to get from the AC in the van is completely lost at every stop. It’s especially dangerous when you have a cluster of houses next to one another to deliver to.
Put it in neutral and lift the parking brake, I guarantee you'll get 100% eoc without turning it off😎. I do that EVERY time
I leave the van on and the seatbelt clicked in. Mentor closed in the back

Mail cars need air conditioning. It's insane we won't give them that
The new generation of mail trucks will have air conditioning.
Back then the earth still cool
I believe they do have dashboard mounted fans but that’s not nearly enough for these kinds of temperatures.
But, they have to constantly open and close the doors so much that even if the trucks had air conditioning it wouldn't stay cool.
Also I'd be happy with only 5 days of mail. Let them have the weekend off. It's not like we can't pay bills online.
my roommate’s father passed away yesterday from a heat stroke. this summer is absolutely brutal, everyone please stay indoors or in the shade as much as you can and hydrate more than you think you should. stay safe everyone.
This is very generous of the owners to do this who have a pool in their backyard especially during hot temperatures outside!
How nice of that man to help the pregnant woman, and the homeowner for being to thoughtful enough to let the Amazon guy use the pool!
How nice of it is our government to have months pregnant women delivering mail in 100 degree. Yay, being a peasant is such a rewarding and fulfilling life...

I work for Zips Car Wash and one day last week I felt so lightheaded and thought I was going to pass out. Ever since then, I don't too much standing out at those pay stations to try and sell a membership!
