Yes, it's literally in their best interest to try that while the camera is rolling since they've had such a shitty reputation with damaged merchandise and refurbished consoles/controllers. It's a simple movement of the hand and isn't that hard to multi-task something so simple.

I think this was just basically the guy who gets the product a look to see its condition, then the person who's packing gives it a look before sending it out. Now there is a extra pair of eyes to check their condition

@Son of Illahee I think that goes without saying. Probably tested them before when they got those controllers to see if they were good, needed for repair, or (I'm just guessing here) putting dead controllers in their grave yard for parts.

They literally just said in the video that they do check, but they've put in ANOTHER check in place to make sure everything is right. Mistakes happen everywhere, especially when you ship multiple orders per day
@@alex161 it’s quite easy to see the literal bite marks in the cable. I’ve had animals my whole life and anytime those fuckers went near my controllers they’d chew the cables and leave marks like that

They've seen a mistake and made sure more measures were taken to reduce those mistakes. I don't see the problem here

if all this checking is going on and its not a act for the camera why are their people who are getting consoles in mediocre condition at a ridiculous price either your purposely putting on an act or someone in your place isn't meeting expectations which if thats the case you have to correct them because they are making u look horrible
It’s gotta be an act, multiple people have received products that are dirty/sticky with dust in the connectors, even though they’re easily cleaned in a minute with alcohol and a cloth. There’s no way they’re checking anything more than a quick glance. I’d like to think they test that they’re functional but who knows by this point.

It reminds me of working in a merchandising company before where I am part of the team who prepares the orders being sent to retail stores and to be honest no matter how you are determined not to make mistakes by doing your job properly there are still some instances Im scratching my head because I still get some returns even though before boxing the items you double or triple checked it to make sure everything is correct.
How about first and foremost, check the condition of the item when you acquire it to begin with? Check the glaringly obvious things like “is it damaged?”, and then clean it and test that it’s fully functional. That way if you somehow manage to screw up the first check, checking that it’s functional and clean would highlight whatever you managed to miss in the first place? Like every shop does with every product they receive?
It always could get damaged by random knife insertion while shipping...

For the money you guys charge, the mistakes shouldn't happen. For the price you're getting, you should be able to pay 2 different people to check over things EASILY. How do cords with cuts even get stocked as inventory and not caught before that?? Also, I'm not gonna even begin to explain your "refurbishing" process

So after 2 checks plus the initial receiving of that ps2 controller by dkoldies, the customer still got it in unacceptable condition ,I don't understand.
Uh.......I think the new check system was implemented AFTER the faulty PS2 controller was shipped out. If the additional check was in place beforehand, it probably wouldn't have been sent out with a bad controller
Truth be told, the PS2 controllers didn't have the most durable cable. I don't know about anyone else, but the main reason I replaced my controllers was because the cord would do just that. Also, the components are over 20 years old, 24 if its a 1st batch. Having this extra check is a good call for some of these old controllers, honestly.

You had to put an extra check in place to make sure cables aren't damaged? I mean, this wasn't a part of your quality control in the first place? Lol!
If you want a way to improve don't take a console from another person for $35 and resell it for 300 reasonable price would be around 150 maybe 200 and always add first-party controllers and don't make people pay extra for it
