    I just picked up a 335d and started giving me issues right after I got it from the dealer. Loses power and check engine lights, it’s nice to see someone working on the M57 so we can be able to work on ours. Good job just subbed

    Thank you for this vid and the recently purchase vacuum parts from your website. 👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
    I changed my 2013 X5 35d (146,000 Mi) vacuum lines today, cleaned some of the CBU out of the intake manifold, cleaned my EGR, and put it back together nice and carefully. I don’t see much CBU in the motor intake ports, a little crust at the rim, down deep I see bare aluminum with a diesel glaze. I bought a little 5mm fiber optic scope camera that connects via WiFi’s to my iPhone, I’ll check the valves next time I’m in there. 🤸‍♂️ saved $1,200 from the dealer today 🤸‍♀️

    My 35d feels sluggish low rpm, but I can see the actuator move when the engine has started and when it's turned off. I've replaced most of vac lines. Is it possible that one of the pressure convertors are bad despite the actuator moving?

  • @TheAj2448
    @TheAj2448 Před 2 měsíci

    Hey I am currently doing this, but there is a pressure converter under the intake manifold that is bolted to the glow plug controller. One line of it takes input from the main vacuum line but the other line goes over the valve cover and down the side in front of the turbos but i cant see what its connected to exactly. Some models show this as a egr changeover valve but im not sure on mine its for that. 2011 e70 X35d. It looks like the input for this is capped off in your video maybe

    Great video. For those of us tackling the M57 (and for that matter BMW) for the first time, would you consider doing a video on how to remove all the electrical connectors around the vacuum assembly? You sure make it look easy: 5 bolts and it's out. Your tip on the pressure convertor electrical connections in this video was very helpful, but there are a lot of other difficult (again, first time) electrical connectors to remove. I'm replacing the vacuum control valve, behind and underneath this assembly. I've spent way too much time troubleshooting how to get connectors seperated and out of the way.

  • @dinhvanpham8102
    @dinhvanpham8102 Před 8 měsíci

    Step 1 plugging the vacuum controller, is it the same device called turbo control valve? The device which control the actuator? Step 2 connect the red hose to the side connector on actuator. On my BMW the red hose connects to the waste gate. Step 3 The bottom connects to vacuum pump. You have two solenoids, I have a BMW F11 525D Twin turbo, do I have two Solenoids. If I have two solenoids, i have to check both Solenoids. Maybe It has faults because since The workshop replaced the turbocharger I have got error 29A400 in 6 months. You jump over step 10. Step 11 You Connect supply solenoid to connections on the right side. The red hose goes to, what do you call the silver device in front? On my car the red hose goes to waste gate from the TCV. The bottom of TCV goes to vacuum T-connector. Correct? I have to do all the vacuum hoses by myself. I appreciate very much if you can help me on the way. Thank you in advance for the best video on vacuum hoses. :-))
