    Hi great videos and useful info.
    I have a 320d n47 and I've constantly had my management light on the dash. I removed my dpf, blanked out the egr , blanked off the port on the side of the air filter box and I've ran a, rubber draught hose, down from the top end breather port and out under the car. So now the engine can breathe in clean filtered air , without any egr soot going back into the inlet manifold , there is no sticky , oily residues going into the inlet system from infront of the turbo and the exhaust system is not clogged up with the dpf.
    I've also removed my intercooler and all the pipes, cleaned out all the oil that had accumulated from the breather hose and I've cleaned off all the rubber seals. I've also cleaned the throttle body.the only thing to clean out now is the inlet manifold itself and the swirl flaps as they will be clogged with oil and egr soot. The engine is running much more responsive but I'm still have the issue of low down turbo lag , my MIL is still on and I get a reduced power light if I really boot it.
    My question is , what do you think about blocking off all those vacuum lines and just running one line from the turbo actuator to a port on the inlet manifold or just after the throttle body ? I did a similar thing on my e39 525, only i connected the fuel pressure regulator to the the manifold as the car was normally aspirated.

      Hi, if you have blocked the EGR off you will need to have it mapped out to get rid of the EML light.
      I’m not sore blocking the vacuum lines will be a good idea. The vacuum system on the E90 is all interconnected with turbo and active engine mounts. That part of the issue I’m having I think.

      @@NeilsCarsAviationTravel yes, I forgot to mention in my massive comment that I had it all mapped out. , dpf , egr and I had the power opened up aswel. I think what I might do is just run a new hose from the turbo actuator to the inlet manifold and test run it , just to see if it makes any difference. If it does I'll disconnect all them pipes and blank them off. I'll let you know how it goes and make a vid of it to . Cheers mate.

    Hello, I want to ask about my car, did you get errors, the car is running erratically, with error code 3F00 A 3F03. It is a BMW X5 E70 35D XDRIVE 2010, the rpm fluctuates, too. Thank you for any help

    • @NeilsCarsAviationTravel
      @NeilsCarsAviationTravel  Před 6 měsíci

      The 3F00 and 3F03 errors seem to be more related to the MAP sensor which should be in the manifold. This reads the pressure in the manifold.
      It could also of course be a leak in the inlet side if you are getting a erratic idle. Maybe worth having a smoke test done where smoke is pumped into the inlet system tot see if there is a split hose or hole in the manifold.

    hello mate sorry to be a bother , am having some issue with my car which seems similar to yours .
    bmw m47 e90 2005
    have replaced glow plugs , glow plug module , charge pressure sensor , cam position sensor, turbo and engine breather ; also fully serviced it .
    am getting jerky or hesitant acceleration if i wide open throttle at lower RPMS sometimes even half way through the RPM range , occasionally the car goes limp with CEL , codes are showing MAF issue .
    i had a garage swap out my MAF, egr valve and egr solenoid (pressure converter) with a used pair from a 330d , cars running better but still has those issues just less frequently .
    garage is saying my boost is too low and sometimes too high , they think it could be a software issue ; however i'm thinking they aren't doing thorough enough testing to make sure it isn't simple vacuum leak somewhere in the system ...
    did you get to the bottom of your issue here ? i would like to know what actually sorted it . thanks !

    • @NeilsCarsAviationTravel
      @NeilsCarsAviationTravel  Před rokem

      Hi, sounds like you have checked and replaced a lot of items.
      With MAF sensors it’s always worth buying OEM brand such as Bosch as cheaper ones can be an issue.
      I’m not quite sure if the M47 uses the same pressure converters as the N47 in mine, or if it has an active engine mount.
      One thing you could do is unplug the MAF and see if it runs better. Also do the same with the MAP sensor (pressure sensor on the inlet manifold).
      It’s hard to diagnose without seeing the codes,
      In my case I have the car booked in for a timing chain replacement in September and they will be replacing all the vacuum lines too.

      @@NeilsCarsAviationTravel yeah i've been chasing the issue and was assured the money i'd spent would fix it but months later the car still isn't 100% when i want to slam my foot down
      all the work was done at bmw indie garage with oem/original parts , just a very annoying experience so far
      the parts replaced we're all throwing codes ; plugs, cam position sensor , map/maf and turbo actuator etc.
      the garage assumed wrongly it was sticking turbo vanes , then found sticking EGR valve causing the maf to act up , they've since swapped some used parts free of charge ; a lot better but still not 100% , car feels slightly down on power and occasionally jerks while accelerating at wot , could still be binding up
      i'll have them replace the vacuum lines in mine , cant hurt since the age of the car
      tempted to delete the egr system entirely and have done with it rather than replace the valve
      thanks and good luck
