Hell, in terms of blood relations, the only ones in my family I'm blood related to are my sister (technically half since she has a different father than me) and her two kids. 🤷♀
I have but for totally different reasons. There's this girl, a friend of a friend that I see from time to time. I've wanted to ask this girl out so many times because she is drop dead gorgeous, funny and unlike Kevin, smart as hell. She has a masters from a good college and a great job. So what's the problem? While she is smart, she says the most completely random, weird, irrelevant to the topic stuff all the damn time. Imagine a 150 IQ genius that acts like the most stereotypical airhead from a bad blonde joke ever. So many times we've been in the middle of a good conversation and I just have to stop and ask "wait, what?" because she interjected her thoughts on Arby's Beef and Cheddars into the convo or some such nonsense.
I was ready to defend the woman in the first story for driving on the highway by saying she probably couldn't afford the ambulance bill (I'm American) until the OP mentioned they're in Germany.☠️
I've just been sitting here wondering what she was thinking. I've had a 104° fever before and I literally couldn't think straight. Like I was LOOPY, my mom had to answer the questions at ER intake because I was so out of it I felt like I was DYING. The 4 minute drive to the hospital felt like HOURS, I cannot imagine thinking in that moment, "yeah I'm safe to drive rn"
My aunt is terrified of moths and tunnels. My cousins would warn us not to play games that had more than a few rules because their mom wouldn't be able to keep up. And they were right. But she raised 8 intelligent, caring and successful individuals. And she was also an ER nurse, then Head ER nurse and the nurse that would be called in to help after she retired. People are, thankfully, not one dimensional beings. We're complex creatures.
That I can understand. My mother gets so mentally fatigued from her job as a high school teacher that any games I play with my parents are basically variants of UNO.
I really like the wholesomeness of Kevin #4. Wailing for someone you've never met and then happily telling people you've found your suit under a bench and (unintentionally) relieving the tension/sadness a bit is cute.
"I asked if she could speak anything other than German and she said no" well, there you go, she can speak one word of English, no, otherwise she'd say nein lol
I actually teared up at the Kevin crying at the funeral….he’s loaded with empathy and sympathy and I love that OP is excited to have him around. What a sweet Kevin story. And last story, Kevinette, sad that it was literally out of her control what her shitty mother did. She may always be more “IQ stupid” compared to her mother, but she will forever be a better person than her mother.
Just want to say, in defence of the 1st story Kevina, that having a temp of 104 can mess with a person's judgement . Also I've known a couple of people who are bilingual ( of perfectly acceptable intelligence) who ' forgot' that they speak 2 languages when asked-- because they learned both at the same time and switched so seamlessly between the two that they never even thought about it .
*Third OP:* I'm sorry, but that story was hilarious. Even Kevin's mom suggested Sage break with her son for her own sake. *Fourth OP:* I want to hang out with this Kevin; he sounds fun. Also, I can relate to Kevin as someone who has difficulty following complex board games. *Fifth OP:* Does anyone else think OP sounds judgemental towards Kelly (my name for female Kevins)? Sure, she may be dense, but like the Kevin in the fourth story, she seems harmless. She might also be cute, which could factor in Op's brother's attraction to Kelly. It's always great to see a Stories about Kevin vid. Those never fail to make me laugh.
Fourth OP: I have a feeling the Kevin didn't go much past race-to-the-finish games like Snakes/Chutes & Ladders or any game that featured a track from start to finish. His brain would explode at checkerboard games.
lol! I love Kevin stories. I remember a female Kevin that I was acquainted with who believed that if she got her hair chemically straightened just before giving birth, her daughter would have naturally straight hair instead of kinky/curly (we’re black). Lmao… imagine her surprise when her beautiful baby girl had a head FULL of thick curls even as a newborn.
You all know pink lemons are real, right? I'm not stupid. I'm a chef, and I've actually had to use them to cook. I also used them in a nutrition class I had to teach at my teaching job. They are just super hard to find. But they grown in California for the most part
Wait so she was actually right with that? When I looked up how pink lemonade is made, they said pink lemons don't exist. I learned something today. Though since pink lemons are rare, I bet if someone tried to make lemonade with it, it would be extremely expensive .
Pink lemons are real! And that is why we have pink lemonade. Look it up. They are still yellow on the outside but pink on the inside. It's a mutation of the lemon I think.
Apparently we have pink lemonade because they used a vat of water (that was used to wash pink stalkings) though I'm surprised no one actually tried to make pink lemonade from actual pink lemons.
@@Simipourfangirl ah! I googled it. Someone accidentally dropped red cinnamon candies into the batch of lemonade, which is what made it pink. Much better origin story lol.
My brother's wife, an exchange student from Russia, thought Santa was real. But here's the kicker... they _never_ told her; and to make matters worse (maybe?) they never told my brother "Hey we've been faking this for the last 18 years or however old our daughter is, and now it's your turn." So on Christmas morning he had to deal with her freaking out, then deduce why, and deal with the aftermath.
The last Kevin story reminds me of my sister about 30 years ago. She got married right out of high school and my parents warned her husband at the time “you’ll essentially have to help her grow up cause she isn’t there yet”. She didn’t know how to do a lot of things and her school grades were pretty awful. When she had her first kid though she started to drastically change and she is a great mom. She tried super hard to help her kid with school work and my mom would receive phone calls nearly daily asking for her to explain things like “what is a vowel” and other basic questions. Fast forward to today and she is no longer a Kevin in my opinion. She has deep discussions with my parents about difficult subject matter and has a really good job as a business woman. I think sometimes it may just take some time to learn things but being willing to learn is the difference between stories like the last one and stories like DNA Kevin

To be fair finding out about a platypus is like late stage Santa, you have heard about it but you are still not quite sure everyone is not trying to fool you with that one. The beak especially looks so fake, haha
To be fair, for the person of the fifth story, and I am Australian, platypuses are weird animals, and when they are first examined by the English scientists, they thought it was a practical joke
Yo! I had to stop cold about the DNA-adoption story. My moutj fell open, and I had to remember I was in public reacting to something I was listening too. 🤯🤯🤯
Story 3: Sage didn't dodge a tactical nuke: Kevin blew it up before it even left the silo. Story 4: I think they should try to convince Kevin that, if he wants kids, he would be a hero if he adopted rather than conceived. Good grief, some of these people have the potential to win a Darwin Award. I think the Kevin in the first story is worthy of an Honorable Mention.
1:04 it’s like that moment in the second Harry Potter movie after Harry spoke parcel tongue: “how can I speak another language without knowing I’m speaking it?” XD
OP from the last story is pretty insufferable. Glad the rest of his family is so chill. And the second to last Kevin is so sweet, I love that he's such a genuinely nice person.
I was actually gonna give the first girl the benefit of the doubt on the fever story. After all, people aren't exactly known to make wise decisions when their brains start to cook from a high fever. She lost that benefit after the next few anecdotes.
Obviously good little organs change their DNA to match the host, and bad organs are rejected by the body. I simply can't imagine him understanding blood types... not that he understands DNA or anything.
One of the seniors at my high school got detention for hiding big mason jars of peeled potatoes in water in his dorm room, in an effort to turn them into alcohol
For the third story I blame that skit on Sunny with a Chance “Raised by Beavers” where that girl developed beaver teeth after she was raised by beavers
I was a week short of my fifth birthday when I learned on my own there was no Santa. My mom went back into the house after we'd got in the car to go to the Christmas Eve service, and I saw her put away the milk and cookies through a crack in the curtains. I didn't tell anyone else though.

I had a roommate who adamantly insisted electrolytes weren't a thing, almost passing out in the heat every day. We lived in the desert. "Kevin" was a public health PhD candidate. And that's only one of the weirdest moments.
My sister, bless her heart, is a college graduate. I watched the professors hand her the diploma. When we were 12, our mom took us to Applebee's and I ordered the butterfly shrimp. My sister literally asked the waitress if they pound the shrimp with a hammer. The look on this poor woman's face before she said "no, they just come like that" was priceless. She also isn't convinced that asthma causes breathing problems, despite the fact that I had asthma as a kid and she witnessed me having trouble breathing.
I used to work with a woman that would make me think "how is she still alive?" on a daily basis. Hearing that more of these people exist is comforting and horrifying at the same time
I once worked with a woman with 2 years of college who believed that test tube babies were actually raised in test tubes, increasing the size of the test tubes periodically. She has 3 kids. They were not test tube babies I also went on a tour to New Zealand. There was another girl who was on the tour who at the end of the tour was surprised that New Zealand was made up of 2 islands, after a land tour ( not by plane) that went from one island to the other.

@@clarky23 part of me is morbidly curious at how basic this conversation had to get before they gave up😂
I have but for totally different reasons.
Let's raise a glass to a thread that was missed dearly .... Welcome back r/Storiesaboutkevin
I literally did that with my water glass after reading your comment.
Lol yea
🥂
Cheers!
That person who’s been asking for stories about Kevin is about to be so happy lol
I am just happy to have light, fun stories for a much needed change. For serious and depressing stories there is always the news.
Those last few stories were so wholesome and sweet. Bless the sweet Kevins of the world.
I wish pink lemons were sold at stores! They're called Eurika lemons, and they have a sort of yellow and green ribbed rind and are pink inside
I wish pink lemonade was made from them 😩
I was ready to defend the woman in the first story for driving on the highway by saying she probably couldn't afford the ambulance bill (I'm American) until the OP mentioned they're in Germany.☠️
Maybe the high fever made her think she was in America?
@@TinkBellQ This comment is a lot funnier than it should be.
OP: she made an incredibly dumb decision and caused a potentially fatal accident on a famously dangerous highway
Also OP: she's harmless
WHAT!?
My aunt is terrified of moths and tunnels. My cousins would warn us not to play games that had more than a few rules because their mom wouldn't be able to keep up. And they were right. But she raised 8 intelligent, caring and successful individuals. And she was also an ER nurse, then Head ER nurse and the nurse that would be called in to help after she retired. People are, thankfully, not one dimensional beings. We're complex creatures.
That I can understand. My mother gets so mentally fatigued from her job as a high school teacher that any games I play with my parents are basically variants of UNO.
Well that's odd
I really like the wholesomeness of Kevin #4. Wailing for someone you've never met and then happily telling people you've found your suit under a bench and (unintentionally) relieving the tension/sadness a bit is cute.
"I asked if she could speak anything other than German and she said no"
well, there you go, she can speak one word of English, no, otherwise she'd say nein lol
It's also Spanish.
I once had a coworker that was blowing up balloons and she was utterly confused why they didn't float. I had no idea how to explain helium to her.
Story 3: You know how many cheaters would never get caught cheating if DNA worked that way? Crazy, right?
Story 4 (not 3) - This Kevin sounds absolutely delightful.
Lol yea
You know what they call a Kevin with a superiority complex and a CZcams channel? A Flat Earther...
Former line cook here. I came here to say that. I get a similar reaction when I tell people yellow watermelons are a thing.
Well, today I learned something fun
@kyled911 even yellow kiwi and honey dew. My mom loves the yellow variant but I'm highly allergic to them
@FireSonic225 Yeah it something that's treated like the brown cows produce chocolate milk myth. The pink lemons actually have a sweeter taste.
Wait so she was actually right with that? When I looked up how pink lemonade is made, they said pink lemons don't exist. I learned something today. Though since pink lemons are rare, I bet if someone tried to make lemonade with it, it would be extremely expensive .
To be fair, scientists also didn't believe that platypuses were real at first.
I miss stories about Kevin! Some people are dumb but someone comes along to prove that they can be even more dumb.
@@Simipourfangirl I'm sure people have tried, but that's interesting and honestly a kinda gross origin story LMAO
@@Simipourfangirl ah! I googled it. Someone accidentally dropped red cinnamon candies into the batch of lemonade, which is what made it pink. Much better origin story lol.
My highschool gf came to me crying that her parents told her Santa clause wasn’t real. I had to stand there acting equally shocked and devastated.
Damn that's sad
Well, obviously I gotta comment about “She didn’t think platypuses were real.” 😂😂😂
To be fair, they do sound super duper fake.
My future SIL from South Africa saw her first chipmunk in our backyard and was stunned. She thought Disney had created them. She was a Ph.D.
@@moebiusjdx7288literally I thought they were fictional cuz of phineas and ferb
Lol, we need more of these videos XD
It's nice to take a break from drama and have a a good laugh with a video _loaded_ with funny stories! 😆
It's always a good morning listening to rslash. I'm baking some chocolate croissants while I listen
I audibly laughed at that DNA checkup story man!
I can't stop laughing at the change-your-DNA story. And dipstick think s everyone else is wrong...lmao.
That 4th Kevin could make a mint as one of those professional mourners
S4: that Kevin sounds kind of adorable. Like a grown child who means well and is kind.
Yes!! He's that overly excited friend who just is not bright enough to grasp how dark life can be. He is pumped about everything, enjoys frozen pizza, and is genuinely excited and pumped about your wins.
YES! I've missed this subreddit dearly
That third Kevin story, I’m surprised no one asked him to change his DNA. Like bro if it’s that easy, then do it
The tools kind of exist now. If it's not CRISPR, there's radioactivity. The latter is not recommended as any mutations borne from it are not likely to be beneficial.
That would be great
I totally agree with rslash about being unnecessarily mean. Just because someone is dumb, it doesn't mean they're bad people, no need to hate them or to treat them badly unless they're genetic step kids Kevin or something lol, and even then, you just leave them, mistreating them won't do you any good.
Mornin yall
Good morning 🥱
Good morning ☕️
Morning!!!! 😊
Morning!
Morning
That fiance Kevin story made my freaking day :') it was so wholesome. And the baby birds in the nest part made me giggle ^^ thank you :')
13:37 Pink Lemons are an actual thing.
13:59 Diamonds CAN be red actually.
14:18 To be fair if somebody just described a platypus to you without knowing it was a platypus you'd probably think it was some sort of cryptid.
10:53 - The "neighbor" rolled a nat20 on his persuasion
More like Kevin rolled a natural 1.
the DNA one had me crying, not from laughter, I think my brain just kept shutting down and restarting to try understanding so many times and just malfunctioned
Bless you! I LOVE that you finally made a video that's humorous. I like the AITA stories but after a while they can get depressing. PLEASE add in more like this. Everyone can use a laugh.
Need to see more of this subreddit more often! Love the change of pace from the negative stories
I like the SIL story. She is not smart, but she is hilarious and sounds kind
To be fair finding out about a platypus is like late stage Santa, you have heard about it but you are still not quite sure everyone is not trying to fool you with that one. The beak especially looks so fake, haha
Stories about Kevin is back!!! I hope this signals the return of another favorite SubReddit: Tales from Tech Support.
Third Kevin should be kept in a museum because how the heck can someone be this DENSE
He's as dense as osmium.
I almost passed out laughing at the DNA story, holy s---.
If I could change my DNA, I could get rid of hypothyroidism and diabetes. Sadly, it doesn't work like that, Kevin, bless your little cotton socks.
I'm wheezing at the DNA story. 🤣🤣🤣😭
Story with the DNA change with adoption. I can see my ex believing that. Hindsight really showed me how stupid he is
1:04 it’s like that moment in the second Harry Potter movie after Harry spoke parcel tongue: “how can I speak another language without knowing I’m speaking it?” XD
YES! I've missed hearing Kevin stories!
I can forgive someone not believing in platypuses if they'd never seen one. Those things are WEIRD.
OP from the last story is pretty insufferable. Glad the rest of his family is so chill.
And the second to last Kevin is so sweet, I love that he's such a genuinely nice person.
I had the same feeling about the last OP. So toxic.
I was actually gonna give the first girl the benefit of the doubt on the fever story. After all, people aren't exactly known to make wise decisions when their brains start to cook from a high fever. She lost that benefit after the next few anecdotes.
Yep. Lost a few brain cells. Especially with the DNA story...
I'm like what the f**k with the DNA story. The fact his mom his dad and a couple of books can't change that dude mind.
@@1985toyotacamry I listened to and read so many reddit stories. DNA guy wins the stupidity award.
Ok but in story five, platypi are crazy and even scientists didn’t think they were real at first.
Hahaha, Dabney's getting spicy with his sub choices
The Kevin DNA story, she needed to look at his parents and try to figure out what they did to him to make him so stupid.
DNA story, so what would Kevin think/say about organ donors and blood types?
Obviously good little organs change their DNA to match the host, and bad organs are rejected by the body. I simply can't imagine him understanding blood types... not that he understands DNA or anything.
One of the seniors at my high school got detention for hiding big mason jars of peeled potatoes in water in his dorm room, in an effort to turn them into alcohol
I love sleeping to rslash daily ❤
Perfect way to start a morning, coffee, breakfast, and Kevin's stupidity 😂
IT'S BACK IT'S FINALLY BACK
Yes!
It's back I can't believe it
For the third story I blame that skit on Sunny with a Chance “Raised by Beavers” where that girl developed beaver teeth after she was raised by beavers
I was a week short of my fifth birthday when I learned on my own there was no Santa. My mom went back into the house after we'd got in the car to go to the Christmas Eve service, and I saw her put away the milk and cookies through a crack in the curtains. I didn't tell anyone else though.
15:20 the fact that she is smart enough to know that collage is hard puzzles me to oblivion wtf lmao
Collage (rhymes with massage, BTW) is a form of art that can be described as mosaic with paper and pictures. College on the other hand is to say the least hard…and prohibitively expensive.
Kind of ironic you wrote "collage" for college, but point taken.
I can't be the only one who thoroughly enjoys it when Rslash gets genuinely tickled from the posts he's reading. Always so funny to laugh along with him
I had a roommate who adamantly insisted electrolytes weren't a thing, almost passing out in the heat every day.
Hearing that more of these people exist is comforting and horrifying at the same time
Kevin 4 is the epitome of "Big of heart, dumb of ass."
I once worked with a woman with 2 years of college who believed that test tube babies were actually raised in test tubes, increasing the size of the test tubes periodically. She has 3 kids. They were not test tube babies
I also went on a tour to New Zealand. There was another girl who was on the tour who at the end of the tour was surprised that New Zealand was made up of 2 islands, after a land tour ( not by plane) that went from one island to the other.
I’ve tried to explain the .25 of an hour to some young men who had to had write their hours in. I used 4 quarters to a dollar as an example, but they still couldn’t get it. 😕
