The pass from Frank to Ramires is no talked about enough. What a player
Casually picks Messi's pocket and eliminates the entire Barca defence with a single pass
Yep, playmaking and in game intelligence is criminally underrated. Overshadowed by his ridiculous goalscoring
But idiots will say gerrard was better on the ball. Lamps my hero
Hairy Molliss
Cechs not really appreciated enough in that run kept us alive so many times. Saved robbens pen in ET and went the right way for every penalty
@@sc825 yep, I mentioned that on another video. You're the only other person I've ever seen mention that he saved it, Bastian didn't miss. No commentator or pundit ever picked up on it
He doesn't say a word wrong - legend lamps - he was immense throughout, not once does he speak about his own contributions
He never speaks a word wrong. He knows exactly what people want to hear and I think it's brilliant. I've watched every post match interview and to me hes never said something that I straight up disagree with.
He mentioned that he passed the ball to Ramires though.
Yung Cow who cares about his political view. I don’t think most of us would get far in life with that mindset..
Also well done lamps for answering a question for a subject where he's an ex pro 😂
Oz Fix poor Oz, I wish I could blame the Tories for everything 😢. Voted Lib Dem last time and I’m liking the look of Keir, if you really care that much.
The fact that they didn't even mention Messi hitting the bar with a penalty tells you how many miracles there were
Bruno Fernandes back then it wasn’t
eoe123321 if I remember correctly Cech went the right way for every single Bayern penalty in the shootout, that year was definitely his best year
eoe123321 yeah I completely forgot about robbens penalty, it was unbelievable goalkeeping from cech that night
@@lewissouster6381 I remember watching cech as a kid that year, and as a united fan it was absolutely frustrating because it felt like he never conceded and it was just impossible to score when he was in goal. No other keeper gave me that sense of awe.
Cech needs to be talked about more he was out of this world that night. Went the right way on every penalty
He was out of this world in general, very underrated keeper.
He dropped his legacy at Arsenal
Naa he didn't Chelsea legend always
I wanna just mention David luiz in that final unbelievable performance fatigued cramp and he still steps up in our time of need and smashes it top corner and before this he didn’t play a game for 2 months after getting injured in the semi final vs spurs and he trained only 3 days before the final 50% fit if that. Class 👏
What a penalty, boom 👏🏼
Almost like he was being played by a 10 year old gamer.
BANG
Ancelloti bought Luiz mid season 2010 and he scored in his first game against Man Utd, will never forget that.
Other Chelsea fans will say otherwise, but David Luiz is a chelsea legend without a doubt.
That drogba penalty was one of the best moments of my life
Man I was just about to say the same thing!! 😂 I was 17 at the time how the hell is that 8 years ago today 🙈
Conor Mckenna fr i was 10 at the time and when i think back i dont know where the last 8 years has gone
@@living4today194 i was 10 as well, remains so far the best moment of my life easy
Mike Denvir I was 9 and it was the exact same
Im crying in the middle of the night alone watching this game.. and crying when sleep at the time..its just you want it so long time to win this CL and its beautifully done.. from Napoli game, barcelona.. and go to the home of bayern and win there with alot of challenge.. Incredible
Watched it from my hospital bed. That morning my surgeon had removed my cancer and I was in and out of sleep due to medications. Woke up, turned the tv on in my hospital room, Drogba scores. Turn TV back off thinking I was hallucinating. Turn it back on after a 30 minute nap and it's penalties! Supported Chelsea since I was 5 and that day was incredibly special for me. Thanks Lamps!
Amazing story.
I too have supported Chelsea since I was 5. I also had an intense experience aswell, I was in Australia at the time and the game kicked off something silly like 3 AM where I was and I was tired about 10 PM and so took half a tab of LSD aha, by the time the game kicked off I was right there in the staidum living every kick every bit of drama magnified intensely and when we finally won with that Drogba penalty after all those years supporting the club and trying to achieve this goal it was totally the best moment of my life!
What a story mate! Congrats on your successful procedure. Hoping you stay healthy. KTBFFH!!! 💙
I have a lot of time for this!
That's ma boy, han solo burger!!
Legend!@
Hi yan
Pleasant surprise 🐐🐐🐐🐐
Football Therapy evening Yan
Lampard is a top bloke. EPL great.
That room Lampard is in looks like a tactics room
Bayern fan here.. man what a match, aggressive momentum shifting type of game. Deserved win for Chelsea, Drogba what a player. Solid CL final cheers
How did your team miss 3 open goals? What anti-luck is this?
@@netweed09 was it 3 open goals?
Cech was immense then, well deserved, knocking Barca out, final in Munich, up against it.
I can't wait for next season when we have zyiech
You’re still going to get smacked by us again...
J M u r right there 🤣
@@Josh-oy7zp what does J M mean?
I don’t supported United but I can say they smacked u this year/season
@@Josh-oy7zp next season they are gonna get clapped by us
06:45 when Frank said our Mothers and looked away from the camera I felt that
His mum would be so proud 🙏
Lol, allmost forgot these two were cousins
what do u mean by "were" 🤣
@@ootoo930 exactly I'm a bit lost too.😂
@@ootoo930 I mean I forgot they are cousins😂...I used were for past tense reference
Right? They were talking to each other like they're mates or something.
19/05/2012 - the best day in football history
Frank thanks for the memories! Happy anniversary to every Chelsea's fan! Happened then, will happen again!
🔵🙌🔵🙌🔵🙌🔵🙌🔵🙌🔵🙌🔵🙌
Sure, we'll ave better days again
I have watched football since 1992 and supported Utd all my time. Frank Lampard is really a great lad and I love and respect him so much despite playing for Chelsea and standing against Utd during their playing time, so eloquent on presenting himself, a great player and a great gentleman.
Lampard is the most likeable bloke, even if you don't like Chelsea you can't hate this guy, absolute legend
One of the best days of my life, I still shed so many tears of joy just thinking about it
"boswinger" looooll
Too funny! 😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
he's a rightback though. boss is correct though!
Every time I see Didier's goal hit the back of the net, I just can't help smiling. Even though I've re-watched that moment hundreds of times since, still, I can't stop smiling. It is still such a wonderful moment. Robbie was The Man for the Moment. Everyone of those guys was a hero. I watched the match on my own but my wife and daughter joined me for the penalties and it was the most nerve wracking moment of so many never wracking moments, since I became a Chelsea fan in 1969. In the end, I thought ... Gary was right ... it WAS Written In The Stars. The date was the clue - 19th May 2012 ... 19:05. Wow. Thank you Frank for your wonderful memories!
Look at lampard’s face when redknap says “boswinga”
Did you lot clock when Jaime said Boswinga instead of Bosingwa. Lampard smiled as well
And golbrige lost the champions league final on fifa at Old Trafford on the same day
😂😂😂
I need the commentary
Do u have the link?
there should be a movie about the 11-12 season for chelsea
our 11/12 was piss poor. We finished 6th iirc. The ucl win just too unexpected, thats what makes it so incredible
They should do a movie on the entire decade from 02-12
Manas M dont forget a fa cup final against liverpool too tht match was crazy as well
Movie should start from Terry's miss and stop at "It's a disgrace", "Fernando Torres is in... Awwwwwwwww!" ending at "It's the greatest night in the history of Chelsea Football Club"
@@zuro181 You also won The FA Cup
Imagine a 'last dance' style doc about that season
Jamie Redknapp putting in his best interviewer performance I’ve seen so far 👍
The chemistry between these two is unreal
@@xi6506 they're cousins
man i just love lampard.... glad we have him at chelsea.... gem of a guy.
It’s weird that these two are cousins based on the difference in quality in football and so much smarter Frank is
I think Di Matteo was smart putting Ryan Bertrand for the finals, it made Chelsea cautious with going forward, else Bayern would have scored more.
I love lamps not just because he is a great footballer and a legend of Chelsea but because he just a nice genuine kind guy!!💙
Chelsea's 2012 CL win is why I struggle to see Man City winning the CL under Pep. We played Drogba as a fullback/wingback against Barca had the man shooting 50 yards out. It really was the old guards of Chelsea who won us that CL. I don't think City have that neither a manger who would want to defend for 90 minutes. As much as both clubs have had financal backing Chelsea still is able to inspire players to put everything on the line in games like Barca whereas I don't see that spirit with City which is why games like Monaca, Spurs etc happen for them.
I don't really understand your point. City are a better team than that 2012 Chelsea team, they definitely have the ability to do it. Guardiola may be one of the best managers we have ever seen & he's got the T shirt already with Barcelona.
@@ollybirkbeck8888 Chelsea 11/12 would probably beat city now tho
@@ryaner_78667 Are you serious? I completely disagree. Despite Liverpool running away with the title, they are still a phenomenal football team. Their attack would run all over that defence.
@@ollybirkbeck8888 drogba,Lampard,Cole, terry, ivonavic, mata,Cech were all soooooo much better then the city players now, footballs quality has changed over the last few years it's getting worse
@@ollybirkbeck8888 and that Chelsea team was alot more physical
he was a complete midfielder he could do it all Pass shoot and score unbelivable goals Up the Chelsea
Well done to Chelsea for winning it but they should have probably done it with the 2005 and 2006 teams, those two were more deserved.
And 08~09 we was robbed far better team than United in that final.
Wicket.W Warrick
It was 2007/2008
@@antoniogallo5699 well it was 2008 ..yes I'm half right ..knew the year.
@Haris R4 I feel bad for Makelele too, at least he won it at Real I suppose
And people forget just how good Chelsea were in the 08/09 competition too. Besides all the stone wall penalties we should have had against Barca, we absolutely battered them and had a bunch of sitters. This is the team who made United look like a pub team in the final.
Love stuff like this.
Keep these in sights coming.
Anyone else got goosebumps watching this?
The boards behind him I wonder what formation he is planning
6,2,2
He’s trying to learn how to beat ole
Antonio Gallo imagine beating a team 3 times and still being below them in the team. Shows the manager is poor and inconsistent. It’s the players who have Chelsea’s number, not Ole.
@@antoniogallo5699 parking the bus themselves and blaming it on others , riding luck won't get them far , below us as aren't they
Antonio Gallo going off of that logic so is Pep.
Could literally listen to Lamps all day. Absolute legend for our club and country. 💙
Lamps, JT, Ash cole, Drogba And Cech are our legends🔵🔵🔵
Something subtle Lamps does when he's being interviewed is repeat his interviewer's name, which I think is actually a nice media skill.
1:54 bit of Harry in Jamie there!
What a man Frankie is!!💙
People who are not Chelsea fans can never understand what this night means to us. I even have chills just writing about it. The greatest night of my life. I slept smiling.
LFC fan here but can have nothing but respect for what Chelsea did that season. The underdogs on so many occasions but pulling it out the bag is pretty inspirational. All the seasons they dominated Europe and fell short. Then the season they were underdogs they pulled it off. Some story
lampard my idole chelsea 2012 is unforgettable i m so proud of the teams this saison and that was my best day ever supporting chelsea
Not a Chelsea fan but Frank lampard is absolute class !!
We're always greatful for giving us the champions League trophy on that night in Munich and we will never ever forget you all. I still tear up every time I watch the highlights
He recognized the king (DROGBA)
Great interview
What a day - 19 May 2012
KTBFFH💙
He’s so honest and humble
Roberto Di Matteo finished the job. But You should not forget that the journey to the Championsleague title in 2012 started in 2004 with Mourinho who brought Drogba (July 2004).
Jamie is really evolving into his dad. Every time he says ‘Fayn-taaastic’ I see Harry Redknap.
Frank and Jamie are cousins
The night every Chelsea fan had waited for....can die happy now what a Team what a night had me blubbing like a baby when we won.
10/10 interview, absolutely unbelievable memories. Fairytale sh!t ‼️
chelsea's greatest ever player, will be chelsea's greatest ever manager, mark my words
Di Matteo, What a manager !
When lamp are says THE KING.. you feel how great he was to bringing Chelsea to what they are today
That Ramires' finish is one of the greatest you will ever see in a football pitch, especially considering the situation. That dude is cold-blooded. Do yourself a favour and look it up if you haven't seen it.
I member it like it was yesterday 🙌💙
In Bayern Munichs stadium, Infront of Bayern Munich Fans, apparently Bayern Munichs Year . Chelsea showed them 💙 Drogba incredible
0-3 this year though clapped
@@Josh-oy7zp who cares bayern are a dead club now, Chelsea are going to do great things next year
@@jayfe7298 lol dead club who clapped you lot 3-0. What that makes chelsea then?
Jay Fe Dead Club? When did you reach a CL Semi Final or a final again? Your club has past his prime long ago 😂😂
Ermm.. we reached semis in 2014 and were 45 mins away from the final. Ive anyways believed except for 2014-15 campaign we’ve not looked like a scary side on the european front. The biggies of Europe look so distant now..
i love him my manager my LEGEND
They were dominated by Barcelona and Bayern for 300 minutes.
It was an absolute miracle. It’s also proof that you can win the Champions League without being the best team.
Exactly just like LiVarpool last season...
I watch the highlights back sometimes and still don';t think they'll go through.

Captain leader legend JT
Super frankie Lampard
Mr cup final ,the most clutch player of all time
Didier drogba
Why does Jamie Redknapp sound like he never kicked a ball?
Wdym? He interviewed frank very well.
That was an epic final! 🤩🔵
A legend one of the best ever Frank lampard up Chelsea
Love the honesty with the Barca game. Most people would say I always believed we could do it. Haha frank I couldn’t get near xavi iniesta when we had 11; thought it would be worse night of my footballing life. Love it
Super, super Frank, super, super Frank! Legend, we love you Frank!
Great person. Legend player. Not a big fan as a manager but prove me wrong
Ramirez was the coolest niggah on the pitch! That celebration after that goal is incredible.
What a great moment it was. Come on Chelsea!
All Chelsea players and staff involved throughout that UCL campaign are legends.
What a player he was!
Great video but what is that on Jamie Redknapps ceiling over his right hand shoulder?
Can't believe it was already 8 years ago
youd swear jamie rednapp never played football when he interviews.the whole conversation is about who hes interviewing and never makes it about himself.what a player and what an interviewer
The greatest football memory I have by far. The whole campaign in the CL was a joke. I remember, like Frank mentioned, the feeling at half time against Barca w 10 men. Phoned my dad and we both agreed there could be a few more goals conceded before the night was over, but some how, between Ramirez and Torres goals and the team effort we overcame Barca. And then overcame Bayern at their home.
Soo emotional 🥺🥺🥺
We all love Didier for that header, but for me it was Petr Cech who truly won it for us. He faced 6 penalties that night and let in only 3.
Lampard needs to come back as a pundit.
The Redknapp guy looks like the older version of Isco of Real Madrid.
U r a real football fun👌
Super frank what a dream it is to have him as our manager
Always loved Boswinga
I remember this like yesterday - best night of my life (hope the missus doesn’t see this!!)
It made all the more sweet that we did it in their home ground. Gotta give them some credit though - the Allianz Arena is a damn nice stadium.
I loved this i remember the second leg against napoli we won i knew the champions league was ours but beating arsenal in the UEFA cup final comes close
Memories...
THEYVE PULLED THE RABBIT OUT OF THE HAT AGAIN
Super Frankie Lampard 🔵⚪🔵
greatest night in my life
I hope you win the CL as a Chelsea Manager somday frank.. and lift the trophy with our lovely owner Roman
I've always been a bayern fan but watching this makes that loss less painful.. knowing how much they deserved it.
Wish sky still had the champions league...
