- If there was ever a case for two Ridler winners at the Detroit Autorama, 2016 was it.
The 1961 Bubble Top wagon from Greening Auto Company grabbed the audience attention from the moment they walked in the front door.
It's hard to believe this wasn't a factory GM build. By lengthening the front and completely fabricating a rear this is exaclty what GM would have done in '61 when building a wagon.
But when you add a fuel injected 409 engine with a manual transmission, this is no Sunday driver.
JF Launier, JF Kustoms has always had a thing for wagons. After winning the 2014 Ridler, he's got an eye for great builds. So JF just had to get with Jesse Greening and take a personal tour. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Just a piece of automotive art that few could have ever afforded!
Now this is what I’d be buying if I ever have new-Ferrari money to spend on a car! The craftsmanship and finishing on that build would make a watchmaker proud
I saw this car at the Autorama in Detroit. If you think this video is good, see it live….it’s breath taking!
All that, and STILL room for groceries! Good job!
Man the best job on this thing i didn't even know about this classic.Amazing
That car is drop dead twice over gorgeous car, what a show of craftsmanship you guys did!
one of the coolest wagons on this plannet!! i love it
It's so cold they ought to squeeze it at the dump.
Bill Mitchell spin in the grave with this astonishing beautiful 61.
Nice piece of art. It's too bad that it'll never see the road again.
I love the Bubbletop’61 Chevy. The craftsmanship in this car is just outstanding. Gorgeous car, well done by all involved.👍👍
Wow, they're even trashing wagons with the drop and swap!
This is one beautiful car. I love everything about this car except the dash.
I hate everything about the car.
@@MrTrack412 and why is that
Excellent! "Something GM could have done but didn't" my husband said this at our dining room table in the 90's before we started cutting my Chevelle. This is beautiful!
Holy sweet Jesus on roller skates... what a car
Wow !!!!
It's like a science fiction 2061 Nomad where every thing is more advanced, different, but in some ways, similar to our reality!!!
And I noticed the Delaware black plate tags too !!!!
OUTSTANDING BUILD !!!!!
I drove a '61 Impala 'bubble top' to college. 348, Muncie rock crusher. It was fun to cruise with all the windows down. Ah, the simple pleasures.
BTW I love that build! The craftsmanship is outstanding. The concept is intriguing. The result is awesome.
WOW,STUNNING!!!
Couldn't they have shown ONE shot of the car with the hood down and the hatch lid closed? We have no idea what the car looks like in total.
Agreed, and the doors and back end closed. I hate that too.
Something as simple as them rolling it into or out of the show would have sufficed!

@@danalvincent THANK YOU. Video maker could have provided a still from this. Or at least given this link.
Shipped 9 of my show cars to that show .👍👍
Pure art..thats a sexy wagon ...
This car is out of this world
I'd take this over any new car out there.
Beautiful Chev wagon. My compliments. You have done the most superb job on this car. I would love to have one in my garage right now. Thank you
Saw this car at SEMA 2016. The work on the roof is nothing short of spectacular
I'm speechless. 🤯
This might be the greatest custom car of all-time
Lava LifeGuard the 52 pontiac and the GTO were both very nice , Kindigit doesn't over do the cars
Unlike foose and his disgusting hip hop wheels and ugly paint
It’s a Looker for Sure !!!!
Very nice, guess this is more of a museum piece, not a driver. Would be cool to drive this down the road.
This should be put into production.
As a prior owner of a 61 Impala for 25 years, I can truly appreciate the detail put into this car. Over the years I have seen some nice ones, but this one is over the top! The original hubcaps make all the difference! Beyond priceless.
Yeah it's nice to have all the machines and tools and money to build these type of car's truck's this is not the average person garage build. Have a whole team to build a car then not even put the miles on it. This car will be trailer every where and drove into the spot.
But it is cool to look at them and the detail that went into the builds.
@@snoopu2601 What do you think the car is worth? I'll guess $1 million!
@@borntobewild9056 yup I seen car's and truck's get auction off for that much. All depends on the bitter's
2:01 "With running the block, we've had this car running quite a bit, actually..." That trailer queen? A couple of starts and warm-ups in the shop - nothing more!🤣🤣🤣
Don't care much for bow tie cars , I liked and enjoyed both my Corvairs . My favorite corvette was the 62 even today . I always liked wagons , this is over the top , very nice .
it would be fun to see the original car before the project began.
they started with a 2 door 61.
Awesome build and cool to see a 409 with modern injection! Damn do I hate those wheels though!
Beautiful! Makes me smile remembering my first car; a '62 Belair in 1969.
Absolutely baddass ! INCREDIBLE detail.
But can it bounce up and down to the music.....and I didn't have a la cueca racha horn! .....just kidding this is an incredible vehicle!! Great Job!! One of the Best I've ever seen!! Congratulations!!
Ein traumschiff auf rädern🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍
I think that is one incredible piece of craftsmanship , I would have loved to be involved in the building of that car. I think that its
crazy that they couldn't show it with the hatch closed.
I'm not sure how I got here but man that is one heck of a car on so many levels a top show car wow.
Cool ,cool, love American cars
Never driven. Always trailerd. How can you enjoy a car like this? Excellent workmanship and well designed.
Unbelievably beautiful ,dashboard has me scratching my head.
Yea I’m not too crazy on the Location of the Dash . But hell it’s not my car 😳
Love wagons ,2 door hot rod killer.
I had a white 61 Chevy convertible with a red interior. I loved that car.
Would love to be getting the groceries...STUNNING !!!
Doug Bamps ...lol! You would have arrest who ever shoves a shopping cart into this masterpiece!
You'd need a bodyguard for the car while you're shopping.
Beautiful!
As a huge lover of the 57 Nomad, I've always wanted to see someone take a 94-96 Caprice Wagon and turn it into a newer Nomad.
There’s one in Pasadena Texas.
That is bad ass... just Beautiful...
All that beautiful workmanship and no one thought to clean the whitewalls. 😳
I've seen this car in person and it's awesome
Groovy ✌🏼
Looks like it might be a beautiful car. Too bad we don't actually get to SEE IT. This video is about a whole bunch of very well done automobile parts that were put together.
out of this world ! amazing body work done to that American estate car.
I'm old enough to know what this car looked like, but this car is spectacular should be first place i never seen one like yours!!!
Awesome 👍🏿💯
with the White & Gold colors you should take this car to the Georgia Tech homecoming parade next year.... would be a real crowd favorite.
Complete harmony! Bravo!
Awesome!
Very, very nice. Outstanding in fact.
I love that car man I wish I could own it? From fort Worth Texas 💯
O.M.G! Properly outrageous car styling from the '60s comes full circle and we're in Heaven once more!!!!!!!!
Son of a Parkwood . Stunning isn’t the word!!!
TOO PERFECT TO DRIVE. It's a show queen. IT IS GORGEOUS, can't say it ain't.
ya I agree 100% Its way too clean to ever deserve to be used. And the 409... geezeusss....
When you own five or six of these babies it's okay to have one that's a trailer Queen you can still drive the rest.
timeless lines and beauty
Magnificent!!!
In terms of what? When were you born?
I'm old school I'm mainly all original clean and simple but this car very distinguished very very well put together and plus it is just simply too smooth and badass beautiful ride love the way it looks in the back that rear quarter panel look away that roof at the end Slants down to the window is that original anyways a genius best of luck stay safe God bless that is the nicest 61 I've ever seen in my life even from all the Mexican lowrider this one still Takes the Cake love those perfect size tubs in the back you can't go wrong with tubs that slam down look with those deep tubs it doesn't get any better than that that is a treacherous awesome look best of luck God bless everyone
Those wheels have the best retro styling.
Fire 🔥🔥
I used to have as a 19 year old a white 61 Impala bubble top so I'm a little bias here, but this is one sick ride. There should be a law against this.. No I take that back, because if I ever get my paws on enough money I'm going to find this ride and purchase it or have one rebuilt exactly like this dude with a different color interior and different Wheels. Thank you very much...
Beautiful Chevrolet
Always liked the 61 over the 62 model in stock form. But, I thought the 60 had a much more modern dash than either the 61 or 62 models. This car is outstanding for sure..
cars should be crushed at 16 years old, so nobody has to drive a car that is manufactured before they were born.
@@kevinwelsh7490 Yes and who would buy them a new one.................fool !!
ONE SUPER CLEAN CHEVY
Nice trailer queen...
All All I can say is wow wow
A beauty.
Chevrolet people do crazy things
You guys have IDENTICAL voices
My dream car!
Best I’ve seen all my years
I think he should have factored the V at the back between the lights into it in some way. That was some daring styling by Chevrolet that worked like they knew what they were doing. That was a bit of an aesthetic backstep in my opinion to just straighten the back out. Maybe made it wider to take up the lost inside light and keep the form. But the rest of it is shocking! Superb work.
This is amazing! So much work and man hours went into this build!
Too beautiful to drive.
love the stock 61
Fantastic! 🤍💯
They should have gone with the triple taillight treatment. After all, it's a high-end Chev!
Lots of hard work ! Looks like a Pontiac in the front does it not ?
She's a Beauty would have liked to seen it with the back hatch down as the rear end styling looks phenomenal❗ My own personal dislike is the dashboard with all the instruments in the center instead of on the drivers side where they belong. If that was suppose to modernize the car it didn't. A flat screen with onboard diagnostics in the center would have. Not saying that should be done as I like the retro look that is era correct on a 1960s automobile, they were futuristic enough originally. 😎👍 Beautiful looking double bubble 61'👍
MASTER PIECE!
Very, very nice!
Stock yank tanks don't really interest me,but custom car's like this are pure artwork. 👍 and when you see an engine bay like this, well I'm lost for word's.
I remember we used to laugh and call those big cars "boats" this literally is one!!!!
Beautiful
Hey. Love your vids. Great questions to ask of builders!!
One suggestion if I may. Whenever possible and if the owner allows it, shots of the whole overall car with doors and hood closed are appreciated as to get the full flavor of how the car ha been transformed.
Just my 2 cents. :)
Great vids though. Keep em comin’.
Nıce job
Amazing!
great job. one of a kind keep it turnt up
would be a nice car if we could see the whole car with the hood down, and back closed, just didn't like cluster in the middle
Awesome ,beautiful, it's amazing....
SWEET
I distinctly remember those ol chevs had a AIR filter of some sort.
Россия давно созрела чтобы приобрести этих красавиц.?!Да???
Hey it’s JF from rust valley
To good to use. Happy to take photos and look but keeping it clean like that nope.
