  • 2025 Chevy El Camino SS - Are you a fan of the Chevrolet El Camino, the legendary car-truck hybrid that ruled the roads from 1959 to 1987? If so, you'll be thrilled to hear that it's coming back in 2025, with a brand new design, features, and variants.
In this video, we'll take a look at the history of the El Camino, from its origins as a response to Ford's Ranchero, to its peak as a high-performance vehicle with the El Camino SS, to its decline and discontinuation due to the fuel crisis and changing consumer preferences.
We'll also show you what to expect from the 2025 Chevy El Camino, including its new interior and exterior, its modified powertrain from the Chevrolet Traverse, and its longer wheelbase for more cargo capacity. Plus, we'll reveal the details of the special variant of the El Camino, the El Camino SS, which will have a more powerful V8 engine, an all-wheel drive system, and a unique styling.
The 2025 Chevy El Camino is set to be released at the end of 2024, with a starting price of around $32,000 for the base model and $43,000 for the SS trim. Chevrolet has also hinted that they might release a hybrid or fully electric variant of the El Camino in the first quarter of 2025, with a starting price of around $47,000.
The new El Camino promises to shake the car world with its unique styling, reliable and powerful engine options, and improved comfort and safety features. Don't miss this chance to see this iconic vehicle return to the roads.

The 2025 Chevy El Camino should be released at the end of 2023. The starting price for a base model should start at $32,000 and go up to $43,000 for a top-tier SS trim. A hybrid or fully electric variant of the El Camino will probably be released in Q1 of 2024. With a starting price of around $47,000.

I had my 1981 SS El Camino for 18years. I listened to my brother and had a V6 Engine . I should had installed the 350 V8. The V6 engine had the oil pump in the bottom of the motor. No Recalls. The Cam shaft had to be replaced at 60000 miles. I finally installed the 350 V8. I loved that truck only vehicle I kept for 18 years. I gave to a another El Camino Restoration Guy. It had electrical problems. I Cried when he towed it away from my driveway.

My employer for the last four or five years of that time coudnt read, but could put a small block together with an air wrench in his sleep. I would like to see less fancy stuff and go back to the simpilar days of utility, reliability, simplicity, and fair prices. 47,000 is a lot of money for what that is.

I respect those who like 4 doors, but please see my perspective. I'm a big guy with wide shoulders. The "B" pillars of 4 door vehicles always hits me right in the shoulder. It's like sitting between 2 big, fat guys in a plane. That's why I drive a 2 door Silverado. I love my truck, but it's getting old and I would love a fuel efficient or even electric option with modern features. The El Camino of old had nice, roomy cabs and nice, long doors because they didn't fool with a back seat or too many doors. This also allows for a longer bed with a shorter overall length, less weight, better efficiency and a lower price tag. Standardizing on a single cab design will also save Chevy money. It's the best solution for an inexpensive, fun to drive and comfortable utility vehicle. Not everyone needs or wants a back seat and there are plenty of other options for those who do.

I’m a big and tall guy too, and I gotta have the seat as far back as it’ll go so I can get in.
With a four door car, I’ve already ripped my pants on the door jamb of a four door car, because they’re just not long enough. Also, the B pillar blocks my peripheral vision, so another reason I’m not a fan of a four door car.
Never had that trouble with a two door, so that’s all I’ll buy. ✌🏾

Came out as a SS 396 in 1968, not in 69 as you stated in the video in 1970 the 4504 was added as an option, no small blocks were offered in the SS until the 1972 model

Build it like the original El Camino the one I grew up with, a strong V-8, two doors and no full electric models. But knowing GM for sure they will try to push an electric version of this great car/truck or a 4 door version of the Maverick because they think that’s what everyone needs and wants. No not everyone wants or needs a 4 door truck. If that’s the case, especially with an electric version, they can keep it. I don’t want to waste my time trying to find a charging station that works especially for an over priced vehicle. No thanks.

I have a 1968, all-steel El Camino 327 with original buckets & console. I would admit that a couple of these CGI renditions of the 2025 look appealing (2-dr ONLY!! Stop bastardizing it with four!).
But we've all been around long enough to know that 1) the Division's bean-counters will start slashing certain highlights, and 2) this creation will end up 150% the stated price. (FWIW, I paid under $6,000 for my '68.)
