It seems that a minority of joes audience would only be pleased if he read their minds, made them each their own top 10 list, and reviewed every game to ever be conceived.
You have point, however, this list is faulty as fuck to who ever even slightly considers themselves as game reviewer/critic.

I know, right? Seriously, "I don't know" as number 1? "Detroit: Become Human" as number 5?! Sure its trailer looks promising, but ALL of David Cage's games have been shit and he's managed to shoot himself in the foot with choices that don't ultimately matter and crappy writing time and time again. And that's not even getting into the sequels of bad games that are also probably going to have very similar flaws.
This just feels overly optimistic as fuck overall.

I guess, but wouldn't you rather hear someone be optimistic about new upcoming projects that haven't gotten as much media attention for one reason or another that have potential than a bunch of sequels to things that looked promising at first and ended up being mediocre or worse? Wouldn't those things be more worth promoting than just more sequels of crappy big-budget games that could very easily also be crap?
There is optimism flavored with logical thinking and there is simple hype. I think in this case its mostly Joes fans whining about people not agreeing with his list which is in all honesty legit criticism even though it might not be expressed in the most elegant way (it doesn't need to).

With the way gaming has been going over the past couple years, might as well call it the "Top 10 future disappointments".
Seems like the games everyone is excited for turn out to be turds, and most of the best games are the ones most people don't even find out about til they're already out.
It's the hype and high expectations that ruin it, especially when the big companies in the industry sugar coat their E3 demos (The first Watchdogs for example) and make them seem so good. It's a reason why there are so many good old classics out there, because those titles were developed and then released to the public without early viewings and announcements showing them off. Another reason for poor releases is because publishers push the developers to release the games in a timeframe so the company can have a constant flow of income, makes sense from a business point of view to keep a company alive but it will effect them in the long run if people stop buying their games from loosing fans.
Ultimately us gamers are what really controls them as we buy their products, but with only a small percent of us that follow gaming news and keep up to date with the industry, people will keep preordering and buying broken games.
The Metal One I guess when gamers get to excited and preorder a bunch of copies, game development studios think they should put less effort into it for some reason...

Joe, your number one game had a whole puzzle thing going on reddit which i participated in like a year back or something. The game was called Shadowrealms back then and it looked really interesting but got cancelled down the line.
The idea was to have a dungeon masterish game with one player playing a monster and 3 others playing their own characters.
There were different monsters with different abilities and they all had their unique little quirks like placing traps and summoning monsters or even taking over a mob and empowering them.
Players had special skills and such but more then that i can't recall.
The goal for the players was to reach the end of the dungeon and for the monster to prevent that ever happening.

any game by bioware i am immediately careful of - they pushed out mediocrity the last decade, and it will take a huge effort on their side to convince me to buying their uninspired and lazily made "blockbuster" games - EA killed them
and while i am on it - all EA games on this list should be watched carefully as well - remember that Star Wars Battlefront was overprized and devoid of any content, basically a rip off and Madden is still a yearly franchise cook up with no changes whatsoevers - so what if they stole from themselves the "story mode" from fifa - that story mode is so bad
you are giving away way to many attention and praise for companies and games we know not much about or are not worth any more attention - the E3 itself is just company self-masturbation with barely any real infos (because its all highly edited marketing phrases) and without any real gameplay - just CEOs congratulating themselves on how much money they pressed out with anti-consumer-tactics this year - and i feel especially you joe should be on the forefront of battling this show - please dont get afraid to critize them just because it pisses them off - thats clearly a good thing - and i would rather wait 2-3 months for a review than have a dishonest one
