Great job by Matt and a great assist by Austin. Those suspension springs are severely dangerous. I would never attempt a job like this removing and trying to compress those springs. You guys did an incredible job! 👍

    Great job Matt
Those springs are a hemroid. Really enjoy the dog leaving the ball where you either trip over it or kick it out of the way. I also in the past have seen him watching the cat door in the door in the back ground. He is just waiting to play with the cat. Hope everyone is having a good day and Take Care

All my experience working on front ends is with torsion bar Mopar’s, and I can tell you that compressed coil springs give me the heebie jeebies. I notice that when that part of the job comes up, the tone gets just a little more serious until it’s done, then lightens up a bit.

Good job Matt and Auston/ I had my share of springs on farm equipment and for you 2 to even get that back in is a miracle ✌✌✌✌I know/ trust me /I took my rear out of my 05 drop top stang I rolled over and salvaged and they tried to hurt me when I dropped the rear !

Had a similar issue with the front springs on my Vanagon. In that scenario, the upper spring perches were deep pockets that the compressors would get jammed into. What a job that was.

Ha I have a big box of those pins from my dad but I had no idea what they were. Awesome thanks now I know. 👍🏼

Way to stick with it. I would have welded a nut to that damn spring compressor. Nice job.

Well, now there’s a video on CZcams about how to rebuild the front end on a 1938 Packers. Great job and I am thankful I did not have to blaze that trail! Oh, how does it drive now? I was hoping to see a little more road test action that it just exiting the garage

Hip, next time I work on a Packard front end I'll have a good heads up on the goins on. Haha!!
Surprised you didn't have all the front end parts powder coated or fresh paint. Coarse who's lookin underneath it anywho.✌🏻
