I don’t have a dog in this fight. I prefer a vintage configuration for a vintage classic muscle car, but whatever you want to do with your car is up to you. Hey, I’m putting a Honda K20 in a 1980 Fiat X1/9. Why? Cuz the 80hp isn’t turning my wheels like 210hp could, and X1/9’s aren’t exactly burning up the Barrett Jackson stage. I could put $30k of vintage parts into it and end up with an $11k car. I do wonder how many of these Sniper-converted cars will be de-converted a decade down the road. Original muscle cars are becoming more difficult to find with resto mods being the rage these days. I see little difference between this and installing a modern twin turbo V6, which would be (arguably) a better value, from a performance/reliability/economy standpoint. Which is where I’m at with the Fiat.

I have a Holley sniper setting on the shelf .5 tenths fasterwith my carb setup. Nothing but trouble with the unit .

I don’t know if I completely agree removing the carburetor and installing an EFI system. The carburetor should work fine… possibly it could be debris in the fuel tank or the fuel pump is weak and allowing fuel to bleed all the way back in the tank when left sitting for a good time frame….

You do not get an increase in horsepower you actually lose horsepower. That's even after dyno tuning . I know all about it and very disappointed in performance
