Doing a great job brother! Keep up with the motivation!
ALL NEW READY TO GO JUST LIKE THAT!!!!!!
Watching this on a rainy day in Florida makes me want a Garage to do what you are doing.,,, An old VW Mechanic , Had over ten beetles in the past. Want one again !
Glad you've got a sponsor CT will help you get that push for the Channel keep up the good work.
Ah, exactly at the right time for my late sunday brunch 👍
Enjoy your projects.Id just prime and paint it hanging.
Use a piece of Angle iron to mount to the chassis and the rotisserie! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👍👍
Great work
I just recently discovered your channel and I subscribed immediately. Enjoying it very much. I have a 65 Beetle that I am going to restore. It is much better shape than what yours was in. Your videos will help me in the rebuild. Thank you!!
Awesome! Thank you! =) Good luck on your build. I'm glad my videos are helping! =)
CT its coming out great buddy 👍😎
Hey ct you’ve got all the tools right there to make brackets for the rotisserie
I would use 3 inch angle iron. That way you could bolt it to the chassis and bolt it to the rotisserie without having to weld it on.
Good idea! I will try that. Thank you! =)
I was going to suggest the same thing. 3 in angle iron so that way you have both vertical plane to bolt to the frame and horizontal plane to bolt to the top of the rotisserie brackets.
That's a +1 from me too. 2 X angle iron, 8 x holes, 8 x bolts and you're done!
That was a thought of mine but I figured ... one makes due with what one has at hand.
My vision too
Go with the patina , it will be cool that way , I would lower it and put some nice wheels on it , run a single carb , with a nasty scat cam , maybe barely paint 53 on the doors , hood , trunk lid , make it look , like a old Heribe , roll on , I keep watching , I enjoy the work 👍👍👍
That looks killer
OMG I had this saved on marketplace and seen the thumbnail and recognized it! Guessing you picked it up in Moultrie GA? lol
Awesome job my friend!👌😎👍
CT you done good on the welding. The more you practice the better you'll get.
Well done.
Ct find a couple pieces of 3” steel angle. That should work perfect to attach your pan to the rotisserie.
So far well done CT, Greetings.Hubertus
Get some square metal tube pieces that can slide over those black square brackets on the rotisserie and you can bolt the on then weld your angle iron tot the square metal tubes. Grind the welds and seam seal on the chasis. Keep up the good work. Hope you will finish the 914. God Bless
Looking Good Ct ! Seam Sealer ! I would cut that angler iron so you can bolt to the floor and then to you stand ? Straight Ahead ✌😎
Thanks Mike! =)
Reminds me of Jeepers creepers when you were hanging it, love the video
Angle Iron would work good for those brackets.
Hey CT, enjoying your latest project. Me, I am happy with any number of projects you get up and running. Part of the enjoyment for me is watching you learning as you go and me feeling that I learn new things from you. Keep rocking it man, they are all great works in progress. Take care brother and keep up the good work and keep it all coming, cheers Guy from Oz. 👍
Thanks Guy! Learning more everyday! =)
You could post the welding footage as an AMSR video - oddly satisfying…
Thank you! =)
Wow, that Air Kewld site is really interesting, not only partwise, the tech is astounding but also the information available for the DIY. Makes me really wish I had a decent shed and the funds available to start a project of my own. Thanks for the reference.
Hey J, I didn't have a garage or a project to work on for many years. If you have the will there is a way. Keep the dream alive my friend. =)
Thanks!
You learn quickly. keep up your good work
Nice job
Thank you! =)
Greetings from Australia Mate
Hey George! Thanks buddy! =)
Great job glad mine where already done. The body is another story lol.
Looking good 👍
Fitzee has a sweet way to clean out the weld through primer after the panel has been installed, i tried it and awww man shit got real good! My welds almost look factory!! Clean off the primer with a modified drill bit, and man it works!
Love your videos Mate. Don't care if you ever finish a project or not. Just enjoy watching you working.
Nice job on those floor pans.
Enjoying the videos.....today the glues they have and with the addition of self tapping screws...it can replace welding altogether and not get any chance of heat warping.
Harika.Çok iyi iş yapıyorsun.Senden öğreneceğim çok şey var.1974 model 1303 sahibiyim.Aracim aynı durumda.Turkiyeden selam ve sevgilerimle...🤚
Nice job good luck 👍❤️❤️❤️
Dear Reader,
Everyone starts watching and following a CZcams chanel, when you see a project that makes you curious. In my case the VW Ghia. When I start watchting, there were already much video's made. So I could watch them on a regular basis. I hope you understand I really would like Mr. CT to make new video's about the Ghia.
This said, I can see Mr. CT is becoming more and more skilled as he keeps working on all the cars. But he seems to get the most energy from the basic construction phases. Taking them apart, starting from scratch/scradge and welding and constructing basic forms.
Perhaps he can find a 'partner' mechanic, who ends some of the projects. So their cooperation would start producing end results, and as such an income from selling some cars?
About the question: perhaps Mr. CT could put primer on the chassis just as it hangs, and use the rotisserie for the next steps on the bodywork, so he don't have to change the connections on the rotisserie manifold, because that seems to create a lot of extra work.
With Kind Regards,
Michel F. van den Brun

I have a 1960 Beetle and I'm going to restore it, I'm learning a lot from your videos! Every week, anxiously waiting!! Nice Job. (from Brazil)
Nice progress
Getting fairly good at putting in those floor pans. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Thanks Robert! Getting better everyday! =)
Killer job; getting better all the time! That Ford is a great truck btw!
Also, learned from the Duckman that the factory used tar to seam seal the pans; a whole lot cheaper than using seam sealer; great tip too!
Who’s duck man I could do with watching more vee dub restoration videos

Definitely use the angle iron. When you cut out the ,cross bars and luggage tray be sure to weld in some stabilizer bars from right to left and top to bottom so the sides don’t fold in
Dear CT,
You’ve done a nice job with the chassis of the Beetle so we wish you lots of success with the rest of the this project and we wish you, Cyn and the rest of your family all the happiness of the world plus we send you ❤️ from the Netherlands.
Best regards,
Willeke and Dick de Graaff
Beautiful rust colors and patterns. It must be very cool to keep its patina.
Fantastic! A new beetle is born!
good jobs
Great job CT. One thing I see in your welding of floor pan's is you need to move around the panel don't keep the best in one spot. Ues clamps where you can keeps from beating up the panels.
Great job.Greetings from Poland.
Thank you my friend! =)
Way to go save all that can be saved !
I like seeing all these different projects. Really cool to watch and learn!
Nice job looks great 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Now there are US companies around that help you rebuild even the last rust - eaten Volkswagen, that's amazing! If this goes on, there will be more rebuilt, like - new VWs on US roads than in Germany🙂!
Wonder if it would make sense to seam seal the pans also? Seems like it would improve things and make them not hold moisture along the edges. Nice work! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👍👍
I think he will get to that
Nice!!! Me encantan tus vídeos.
Nice job the pans !
Thanks buddy! =)
for the brackets on both ends bend them 90 degrees to lineup with the holes on the arms to bolt them on.
Awesome Video
I can not wait to see the finished vw beetle remember the engine goes at the rear end of the vintage vw beetle
You seem to be very popular in Brazil! 😂
Very good video!! Great camera work…
Thank you very much! =)
nice work lookin good
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Practice makes perfect. I'm not a welder either. I kinda suck but the only way to get better is to do it. I'd use that plate to bolt to the rotisserie. Whatever you do, don't modify that. It's looking real good CT.
Yeah you should have bow wow wow them welds for penetration.
Hola. Me impresiona la pasion y el gusto que le pones a tu trabajo; te felicito. A esperar la siguiente semana. Saludos
Kepp the outside patina👍
Hi CT, I'd use metal brackets since you will use it again on other chassis for aircooled. You want to be able to bolt on so you can easily remove it if needed
I go with the steal beam you have the wood would worry me the metal is a strong foundation on both sides👍
Hell yeah save it!!
Nice work bud! Its really coming along nicely!
Good to see the gauntlets...
Congratulations CT :) also getting there on Bug yes takes time to get fix up and drive back again so true to! Also looking forward more videos too soon watch!
Thanks Andrew!
@@CTmoog welcome
Great vid, glad I found your channel!
at 32:45 where you are talking about bolting on some steel, you might be able to use threaded rod and have the steel plate or whatever you're using to hold the chassis about a foot away so you can still spray behind it. great video - good to see the progress and the work looking really professional.
Nice work 👍❤️
Use metal for those brackets and do not cut the arms from the rotisserie. Insert the bolts through those holes to hold the new brackets. You can still paint the chasis as it hangs
you can space out your brackets..to get paint behind it...use longer bolts and extra nuts/washers..etc...some tubing to space it out ( bolts run through the tubing )...round or square..whatever you got...lol...
CT good morning
Great video
I also follow Duckman Cycles and VW garage
I am not comparing at all
I am a Chevrolet guy even though your F150 is nice
Lindo trabalho no Fusca 🤩🇧🇷
Tá ficando top amigão ✌️🇧🇷
Parabéns estou aprendendo com vc,muito capricho
wonderful job man! 👍👍
Use the wood. The 4 inch side on the chassis. Drill holes on the 2 inch side and mount on the two holes at the end of the chassis mount.
I would weld bracket to the straight flat piece to fit inside the rotisserie arm.
Amazing job will done ✅
Vai ficar muito bom quando selar o assoalho com kpo. Parabéns pelo seu trabalho .🇧🇷
like from Brasil - Mogi das Cruzes city - São Paulo state.
Just use angle steel and the holes in the arm ends your over thinking it plenty strong enough...👍
Good idea James!
Maybe the flat stock and some smaller square tube welded that can slip in the arms and drill a hole for a bolt to lock them in?
Angle iron for sure.
love
Like Brazil Santa Catarina SC
Thank you! =)
Yep, like the other comments said here. 2" angle iron for your brackets. Bolt to the pan and bolt to the rotisserie arms.
First ! P-a From Sweden!!!
Awesome! Hello my friend! =)
Always liked your videos, keep up the good work!!! 🙏🔧🪛🚘/P-a
CT
Thank You for allowing me to comment
I would primer the whole frame with floor pans. I would paint it (color paint is your choice)
Then I would apply Rhino lining to the whole assembly
Maybe it works better than heat and noise dampers
Pull the brakets of the rotisory and turn the bracket where the bracket points up instead of straight out then slide them back on
Take a drill bit..the size of your plug holes...a broken or dull one works if you got one. Grind it flat on end so you can run it in your hole before welding..it scratches up the primer so you get a good arc start and weld... takes a second before welding or when your waiting to let welds cool you can do the next holes so you can weld them quickly....
Use metal, weld you a tab on the flat steel and bolt it together using the holes in the end of the arms on your rotisserie. Where in Florida are you located, it has been raining every day here in Mobile also.
use C clamps to fit the chassis on C clamp on the wood with 2 holes into chassis
could make up some L brackets and make them to fit the brace going across. Just angle them upwards so you can bolt them down without blocking your access. And bolt the L brackets down to the rotisserie. then bolt the chassis to the bracket going across lol or something like that.
