"You can just farm Munchlax' and run around with six leftovers. "
People who played gen 4: "you sure homie?"
I'm still in gen 3 trying to find one
@@buzzkillington6945 you cannot
You can pretty easily get 2 Leftovers in FRLG using Item Finder, Gen 7 is probably where Leftovers farming is at its easiest, a ton of ROM hacks make Leftovers easy to get, etc.
@@grunkleg.3110 Rom hacks doesn't count since the are fan made. Gen seven are shit games to play because of slow game pacing and ton of cutscenes. Fire Red and leaf green is pretty much the only game where the item is broken since you can farm them in that game.
@@DNNYYCLR I mean Jan explained pretty well why he only has one Leftovers per party. Plus most of what he nuzlockes are ROM hacks, and I don't think it's fair to write them off because they're fanmade. And USUM is apparently a really hard nuzlocke, so there's that
Motivation of the day:
If you ever feel stupid , just know that in the hoenn games , there's a trainer that uses a full restore on his level 8 Zigzagoon
Ah yes, i remember. Rich boy Winston.
Apparently Lady Cindy also uses it sometimes. Another Zigzagoon trainer who uses a Full Restore
Big brain plays.

Big root has a hilarious niche use in gen 6 if you are playing on Y because it makes your Yvetal’s Oblivion Wing heal for 97.5% which is insane but yeah other than that
If you're out here using Yveltal in a Gen. 6 Nuzlocke, unless it's your very first Nuzlocke, shame on you.
@@demi-femme4821 let people play the game how they want.
@@rustythebard that doesn't apply here
If you want to play however you want then sure, use it
But if you are Nuzlocking you are accepting that you'll play a certain way to make it more challenging, but if you use a legendary you are basically cheating the challenge
@@nathanwaterser8218 not using any legendaries is an optional nuzlocke rule. All of these rules are optional because this is a self-imposed ruleset of a children's game. There is no shame in using powerful mons if you want to use them or think they are cool or fun. Yes, it decreases the game's challenge level, but some people who try nuzlockes don't really care about the challenge and just want to play the game in a different way.
@@nathanwaterser8218 and there is no cheating in a nuzlocke, all of these rules are self-imposed. It applies here more than ever because that's exactly why you nuzlocke, it's playing the game however you want
Honestly; big ups and respect for Wide Lens. The amount of 95/90-accuracy moves (there are a bit too many) that get basically nullified by it is huge
i agree. i use wide lens cinderace
Wide Lens Zen Headbutt/High Jump Kick Medicham carries hard in Reborn for me.
Wide lens fang moves hipowdon saved my bdsp nuzlock, but farming heart scales might not be for everyone.
*There should a held item that nullifies abilities every even turns so that my boy Slaking can finally shine and regigigas still remains useless*

Damn, that humbling intro where he wanted to say “best nuzlocker in the world” but what happened with Kaizo, he’s gotta earn that back again. I do hope he plays it again and wins
He definitely hasn't. He's spoken many times about how much he just flat out enjoys the game, how if he fails the run he'll have no problem just immediately resetting the game and starting over. Even some of his recent streams have been looking at things for his next runs.
He probably could win as he lost because of a crit. Although, he would need similar encounters.
I mean, Gian_97 pretty much invalidated his run by using two Piloswine, and always starting at Slateport
@@shpaghettishpaghetti6219 I don't think he got too lucky with encounters though, maybe at the start but the elite four team was pretty much guaranteed
@@user-pp6pr5fg8w I never knew that..why is this even considered the first winning run then?
Put Leppa Berry in F, I Wonder if he would've changed his mind after abusing it on his Slowbro in E4 in Emerald Kaizo
Wide lens is so busted come’on: compound eyes, wide lens and thunder on galvantula, that’s 100% accuracy 120 base power STAB-move(with paralysis chance) o.0
Amazing item for Darumaka before evo as well
Saving this for radical red
Wide Lens wouldn't make Thunder 100% accurate though
@@rjante2236 wide lens combined with compound eyes would make it 100% (70 x 1.1(wide lens) x 1.3(compound eyes) = 100.1)
@@donaldsuuup8648 Wait, I forgot to factor in the Wide Lens after. My bad.
Persim berry is actually really good, being able to use moves like petal dance, Thrash, outrage, etc. Fully twice without worrying about confusion is really powerful, making things like gyarados ev even more insane, also, getting the attack boost from swagger Without worrying about confusion is insane.
Big Root was better before Gen 7. In Gens 4-6 it increased the power of draining moves; the healing-only boost was a Gen 7 nerf.

He lost his title to gian 97 head to head a few days ago on stream and gian is the better nuzlocke player at this point
I do think pc can get the title back because he practices n works harder than gian and frankly everyone else for that matter but gian is the most talented nuzlocker i ever seen,
@@nateschendel4585 doesn't Jan have more nuzlockes under his belt? I would say that the guy with more nuzlockes under his belt (which also includes the hardest rom hacks, for example the guy beat Radical Red Nuzlocke in 2 attempts like what) is better.

leek is actually pretty good on sirfetchd. raising your crit chance by 2 means any leaf blade or night slash is a guaranted critical hit
And also makes all moves 50% crit chance which is not bad at all
The reason exp share isn't just utility is that he has to plan out his exp gain from required trainer battles to not overlevel the next gym. Using the exp share allows him to use his pokemon for required trainer battles at a higher level since they effectively need to get more exp to level up due to some being taken away by the exp share.
A ferrothorn with leech seed, ingrain and big root saved one of my runs before, it's actually decent
11:55 actually, Flame Orb and Toxic Orb has some pretty good uses, especially in some interactions with Pokemon's abilities like Guts on Heracross. Guts boosts its Attack whenever the user inflicts a Special Condition, burn won't cut your Atk stat in this way. Toxic Orb could make Poison Heal users, a Mega Leftovers
He said that you could pre burn/ poison your mons
Right?!
Flame Orb + Guts + Facade = GG
The thing is that you can technically so this anyways, by pre poisoning them in. a fight versus something weak that inflicts the status. Granted that would take a long time and be extremely frustrating, but it’s there. And you would almost never want to use them as the held item in battle. Because Guts + Facade is good, but Guts + Facade + Choice Band is better
Fake out Ambipom with Facade Toxic orb is incredibly strong. Same for any Guts user with Flame orb and Facade.
@@mooshoe8196
In competitive yes, but in game? Nah, just get into a random battle and get poisoned/burned.
"stupid legendary item"
Primal Kyogre has left chat
Leppa Berry was S-tier for me going through the Elite Four w/ end-game low PP moves.
Once he beats emerald kaizo and starts pokemon reborn, he's gonna learn all about terrain. Lol
Oooo boi
Bold of you to assume he'll beat kaizo in the near future lol. He's taking a break rn
@@user-pp6pr5fg8w oh wow, didn't realize that. I just watch the youtube vids. Dont have time for streams unfortunately. Maybe reborn will be fully finished by the time he gets back and beats it.
Imo pokemon rejuvenation is better than reborn, atleast storywise but I don't know how he will handle to nuzlocke both
I'll love to see him do Reborn 😂😂 good lord it's hard as fuck.. If he's lucky with encounters it's might be possible, barely
Nuzlockes never liked me because even thought the items are randomized , no matter what , they will always give me all the worst berries...
That isn’t your bad luck, that happens in most randomised items nuzlockes, because there are so many random berries coded into the games.
In your randomized you can ban bad items so you don’t get the terrible berries
@@jackjaxk4823 yeah I had to do that cause I kept on getting berries and mail
so, Iron Ball is actually at least B tier item if you know your facing a hard Trick Room team. because it divided your speed by 2. So you can actually outslow stuff under Trick Room
Edits: you can also use it for multiple game instead of the worst Room Service that is 1 battle only (and Room Service is -1 speed while Iron Ball is -2 speed)
And Iron Ball has the bonus effect of being a really strong Fling item that I believe can be farmed in most games
How many trick room teams are there usually in pokemon games? I might be wrong but it still seems like a really niche item
@@dweebpatrol you can also use it for your own trick room teams as well
@@dweebpatrol if you are playing a rom hack, most psychic expert are gonna have a hard trick room team (like Sabrina in radical Red). So having the possibility to divise your speed by 2 can be game changing if you cannot prevent the Trick Room setup
@@nashoba5161 that’s a good point then
So with the Terrain items, I think Terrain Extender is strictly a bit better than Damp Rock since it works with every terrain type, and terrains are pretty nice if you make a team around them, so high B-tier. Terrain Seeds are consumable and honestly really niche in a lot of scenarios, only being absolutely insane on maybe Unburden mons since they boost one of the defense stats, so I think that probably makes it either low B or high C. I'd still say Terrain Seeds are probably the best way to proc your own Unburden, except for Gen 5 Gems
Love your vids I’ve been addicted to them recently
Sceptile with Petaya Berry could potentially be really good on Sceptile in nuzlockes. Substitute down to 25% to get to Overgrow or Unburden, get your special attack raised, Giga Drain let's you restore HP, repeat (except without another betty activation).
PchalDaily was a blessing. This too!
Iron ball can actually be useful in some scenarios as it can make somewhat fast Pokemon really slow: I used it to set up revenge kills with Machoke in Gen4 against the Steel gym leader, it was a really fun strat :)
Revenge is already negative priority. That shouldn’t change anything
@@spegasparce1389 oh, ure right lol bad example then 😅
Im sure theres other scenarios though where it could be useful? Slow teleport for example? Smth like that :)
@@hanswurst7548 Teleport in gen 8 is also negative priority. Really the best use is weather setter vs weather setter - equip a lagging tail or macho brace so your drizzle politoed sets up rain overwriting a normally faster snow warning abomasnow's hail
@@spegasparce1389 or slow switching, switch out last when the opponent has already attack the current Mon gives you basically a free switch

My favourite CZcamsr who has the best intros is back at it again keep up the great work legend
"Themen für Abschlussarbeiten" :D been there Jan, been there lol
Shell bell is great for fights that don't really matter. You'll be getting a bit hp back all the time, so you can go on for longer without visiting a pokémon center. On top of that it isn't a consumeable, so no need for farming and giving the pokémon a new one. In a difficult fight a berry can heal more, but during the exploration of the map you'll heal tons over time.
Yeah he was big wrong about Eject Button. That shit is cracked. It's a free switch because you know what your opponent is going to do, so you switch in on something with E Button that eats, and then a free switch to something that otherwise would be a risky switch in. Can make an entire fight's momentum shift in your favor rapidly.
Thanks for the content Jan
Eviolite Magneton saved my blind nuzlocke run of Ultra Moon at the Ultra Necrozma fight. Not that I'm surprised, but happy to see it gets its proper recognition in S tier.
25:00 that item can make Toxtricity terrifying
Stat raising pinch berries are great on fast mons with Sub, slow tanky mons especially with battle armor, they have so much utility. It's like a 1 use of an X item that doesn't take a turn a lot of the times, and you can farm them if and when you get the early.
A shiny Pheromosa with No Guard holding a Choice Scarf with it’s only move being Fissure. Named “StepOnMe”
Leppa berries are mainly useful if you're not allowed to use pokemon centers or other healing places and need to go through a gauntlet of trainers or w/e due to the fact you can just spam leppa berries.
Damn I'm so early. And I'm really feeling this tier list. Let's go boys!!
This is gonna be awesome
It's nice that gen 9 makes getting all these items way easier. I hope they make consumeable hold items not cosumed after battle and easier to get in the future make going through the game more interesting
I wrote in an indeedee in a story having an iron ball as their held item, not for its intended purpose, but instead to swing it around like a skip-it of doom with psychic energy
big root is good on Torterra since leech seed is basically better than mega drain due to Torterra's low special attack in comparison to its phys, where something like earthquake or strength would be far better but you still want it to have some HP regen.
It would have been nice to have descriptions of them all so I didn't have to look them up to follow along, but good assessments, much appreciated!
he said what they do before he ranked them.
tbh imo dust ball is a pretty good item, since it allows you when iv training a low speed pkm to just fle from the battle instantly against pkm you dont want to train, since otherwise theres always the risk of not beeing able to flee and taking dmg, so you dont have to switch to a faster pkm to flee. and theres always the chance for a crit on a not max hp pkm to kill during training.
50 sec. Into the video the music kicking in is so fire. 🔥 I know I'm high but I just had to give credit where credits due.
Y’all sleeping on the wide lens, sure it’s not terrific but with moves like sleep powder, stone edge, thunder, etc. it’s pretty decent
22:03 Hello, man from the future here, shell bell is finally good in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet raids.
currently playing through Radical Red and terrain extender/psychic seeds just allowed me to pull off an unburden thievul sweep against green. Terrain items definitely A-tier when applicable, although those times are kind of rare.

21:24 Safety Goggles is actually really good for Raihan in Gen 8, but I don't know anyone else it is good for. If the enemy is using weather, you should definitely always use it on a Mon.
toxic orb + poison heal + leech seed breloom is actually viable in a lot of romhacks.
i used blunder policy on bounce gyarados that carries D-dance and waterfall so i ddanced 1 turn, bounced second on, say a fighting type, if i hit i did good damage from attack buff and if i miss i raise speed by 2 and then ddance again and sweep. it was niche but it worked amazingly

I actually used a golisopod with an eject button, so I could use first impression as many times as possible.
The absorb bulb is nice cause in SwSh you get it before the water type gym

Did something happen? He looks like he pulled an all nighter something and was only able to sleep for 30 minutes
Hey PC, I have an idea for a challenge that may prove interesting and/or fun. Dream Team Challenge.
Pick 6 of your favorite pokemon or a theme etc, transfer them to a game or game shark them in at level 5 and complete the game with only those 6 pokemon.
Rules:
- No catching pokemon, you can only use the 6 you start with and their evolutions. No transfers, trades, gifts etc
- If a Pokemon faints, its boxed or released and removed from the team.
- I know you dont like to over level in your challenges. So no over leveling the next gym.
-No items in battle. (Held items okay)
-Nicknaming of course.
Optional rules:
-Pokemon chosen must be under a certain base stat when fully evolved. (For instance no pokemon over 500 base stat total) to prevent pseudo sweep which wouldn't be fun.
-Added type restrictions to keep strong typing off the team such as dragon or steel.
Feel free to add any other rulings, just figured this would be a fun run to try out. Planning an entire game around 6 pokemon instead of growing a team over time.
Fun fact Deep Sea Tooth Clamperl using shell smash reached 800 atk (to make a comparison Zacian Crowned only has 438 atk unboosted)
An item that would be cool would be an item that halved Speed but either gave the Pokemon an Attacking boost. Or a Defensive boost too. Without the lock in thing. Would be great for Trick Room or already slow, bulky mons to get boosted stats
In scralet and violet single use items are recovered after a battle aka if you consumed eject button you will get it back after the battle
Yeah that was one of the best changes they made, would have probably impacted this tier listq
Metronome broken with dyna/gmax if u spam the same stab move
