Eevee becoming my absolute favorite pokemon snuck up on me. I've always liked it, but gen 6 rekindled a lot of that love through the amie. Seeing the other eevolutions there sold me on most of them. I used to like espeon more until I saw umbreon in Y. It's honestly very close between leafeon and umbreon being my favorite eevolutions.
He's also one of the best HM users when paired with Dragonite in Gen 2. Flash/Cut/RockSmash/Dig (or Sweet Scent) on Parasect, Strength/Waterfall/Whirlpool/Fly on Dragonite, then just put Surf on your main Water Pokémon of choice.

Grew to love the Gardevoir line because it was my first Pokémon I caught miraculously, and the Airalin comics. Love Glaceon due to one my friend trading me back in Diamond that I still have (her name is Evoli; Timid nature). I also like the more lean and speed-oreiented 'mon, so Quilava, Pikachu, Sneazle, Buizel, etc are up there. Of course, Lucario, Lapras, Snorlax, Lopunny, Mawhile, Braixen, Torterra, Chespin, Emolga, Joltik, Staraptor, Sylveon, Luxray, Lillipup, Lunala, and Primarina, are up there as well.
I think the best compliment I can give you as a creator is that I feel more excited about watching a full hour video of your content than I do watching a 20 minute video of the video game I've played for 10 years.

Meganium looks like just a walking vegetable to me so I totally understand why you'd want to eat it and Marill was literally a meat shield for a nuzlocke I did once so it definitely has puntable energy. It's crazy how experiences with a Pokemon can do a full 180 on your opinion of them. Like I could not care less about Mothim and Golduck before Legends Arceus but I found their shinies and got super attached to them. Hypothermia the shiny Golduck ended up being the most powerful member of my team.
Yeah, legends arceus really changed peoples thoughts on certain pokemon. Parasect is a perfect example. Most people didnt care for it but now most hate it and are terrified of it

It became my main starter in my lineup cause I wanted to evolve it… There is no evolution to dunsparce. Happy to see Avalugg get some love in this list, personally they're in my top 10 through sheer audacity alone being able to tank physical hits better than *fucking Steelix* for no good reason. I love my ice table. Also, if you care for competitive singles in any way, to those disappointed by Vikavolt's lack of speed I highly recommend running a defensive spread with Volt Switch, Bug Buzz, Roost and your choice of Sticky Webs, Toxic or Thunder Wave. It does especially well in Gen 8 OU for some reason. Personally I landed on an ev spread of 88 HP 196 Def and 224 Sp.atk with a Modest or Bold Nature, but I've gotten mileage out of 252 HP and def with 4 in Sp.atk with a Bold nature especially as a Kartana switch-in as Kart does ~20-30% max or ~50-60% once with knock off and you ohko with bug buzz unless they're either focus sash or assault vest, which they're probably not.

i’ve always loved darkrai but the movie “the rise of darkrai” made it my favourite pokemon of all time. the movie is so sweet and gut-wrenching for me, and the song “oracion” is genuinely magical. a song that’s said to calm even the greatest rage is true to real life and is so beautiful that i can’t help but feel calm hearing it. and darkrai’s line “this garden is for EVERYONE” is like a punch to the gut for me, it’s just so beautiful. the best pokémon movie of all time tbh, truly recommend you watch it. it made darkrai so good in my eyes. just think about it - a dark, evil looking pokemon that causes nightmares was truly good at heart all along, using its nightmares to warn people of an incoming disaster, and protecting weaker pokemon in a garden that has been cherished by pokemon and people alike for decades. and alice and her grandma, with the song, and darkrai mistaking alice for her and saving her life - it’s just such a good story. plus i’m japanese, so the name darkrai is cooler. dark + rai, sounds like dar-kurai and kurai means dark in japanese, so it’s like ultimate darkness. yet darkrai is truly a good being in actuality which is so beautiful to me. i really wish darkrai had a bigger role in the base games, the movie had such a good concept and idea. thanks for reading my rant about darkrai. i hope it’s bumped up a couple tiers after this, and i hope you watch “the rise of darkrai”

There is no evolution to dunsparce.

Also, if you care for competitive singles in any way, to those disappointed by Vikavolt's lack of speed I highly recommend running a defensive spread with Volt Switch, Bug Buzz, Roost and your choice of Sticky Webs, Toxic or Thunder Wave.
It does especially well in Gen 8 OU for some reason.
Personally I landed on an ev spread of 88 HP 196 Def and 224 Sp.atk with a Modest or Bold Nature, but I've gotten mileage out of 252 HP and def with 4 in Sp.atk with a Bold nature especially as a Kartana switch-in as Kart does ~20-30% max or ~50-60% once with knock off and you ohko with bug buzz unless they're either focus sash or assault vest, which they're probably not.

i’ve always loved darkrai but the movie “the rise of darkrai” made it my favourite pokemon of all time. the movie is so sweet and gut-wrenching for me, and the song “oracion” is genuinely magical. a song that’s said to calm even the greatest rage is true to real life and is so beautiful that i can’t help but feel calm hearing it.
and darkrai’s line “this garden is for EVERYONE” is like a punch to the gut for me, it’s just so beautiful.
the best pokémon movie of all time tbh, truly recommend you watch it. it made darkrai so good in my eyes.
just think about it - a dark, evil looking pokemon that causes nightmares was truly good at heart all along, using its nightmares to warn people of an incoming disaster, and protecting weaker pokemon in a garden that has been cherished by pokemon and people alike for decades. and alice and her grandma, with the song, and darkrai mistaking alice for her and saving her life - it’s just such a good story.
plus i’m japanese, so the name darkrai is cooler. dark + rai, sounds like dar-kurai and kurai means dark in japanese, so it’s like ultimate darkness. yet darkrai is truly a good being in actuality which is so beautiful to me.
i really wish darkrai had a bigger role in the base games, the movie had such a good concept and idea.

I'm so impressed with this video, first Jacobs knowledge competetively as well as just his reactons of just "yeah hes cool" combined make for a super nice and interesting list. And the edeting.. just the way he did something visual for almost every single Pokemon, as well as him cutting down what he says so its just one sentence after another with no pause is just super pleasant to watch. No doubt my favourite tier list video of all time.
