- Have you sat through a timeshare presentation to get a discounted vacation?
Let me know your experience in the comments!
We paid Bluegreen Vacations $199 for a 3 night hotel stay (we stayed in Chicago) and also got 60,000 Choice Privileges points. We then used our points to book 2 nights at an amazing hotel in Venice. It was well worth 2 hours of our time.

This is the tactics I follow. When invited for timeshare or any equivalent presentations (mlm, new business opportunities), I tell them in upfront
" I am ok to attend but will definitely be not signing any documents or give any of my personal/ payment info. Its my policy to take 2 days to do reseach and decide on any long term contracts. If you agree to it I will come to the presentation"
Me husband and I are pros with these presentations in Australia. We go for the free gifts and to us it is worth it. Just say no and stick to your guns. It ain't for the fainthearted you have to be strong and put up with the hard sale tactics but we know what to expect and enjoy the free stuff.
Now I get the reason why the timeshare sales persons insisted not to bring out kid to their presentation
Be nic and just say we don't make decisions like that on the spot. They will say the offer is only today, then say we are not interested then.
How do I signup for a trip like
This ?
Next time when dealing with the time share pushers - just say stand and yell out "THIS PLACE will be PERFECT as my HIDE OUT! MUUAHH AHH HAAA!"
They will let you go immediately.

😂
🤣🤣🤣 they were like get em put og here! Lol 🤣 good one
@@sharane1371 I have my pride. And ALSO got my FREE bottle of rum and T Shirt!
I always wanted to know what happens if you just don't show up?
You don't get the free stuff. In Australia, they offer free wine bottles and stuff like restaurant vouchers, not discounted stays.
Also in the US, paying for the accommodation (at timeshare resorts) is generally done at the end of the stay, so they know if to went to tbf presentation before you pay
Wyndham made me put a $50 deposit down they said would not be refunded if I didn't show up. Also, they didn't give me the free stuff until I was there.
GIRL if you are a a sale's person then people do that to you? You know that salesperson has no hourly it is just purely commission. Please don't do that people don't go if you been in the sàles presentation. I was working as a Salesperson in timeshare, I can't make it because there is no hourly.
Low performer
I can tell you’re not cut out for sales. Stick w another profession. I’m not being mean, just being honest. I’m sure you know this by know.
I say this being a VP in sales for a large company we all know
Did u pay for the presentation?
They get discounted stays at the resort in exchange for going to the presentation
Always bust out the platty card and ask if it is better than this.
From what I've heard and seen peopel do on reviews often even the prize is a scam (the free vacations where they give you vouchers to a vacation company generally all and that company will then do everything in it's power to get you to upgrade to a paid vacation and if you don't they will do everything in your power to make it not worth your money and try to get you to give up before they have to give you anything which won't be good if they even do). Also some outright don't let you use your phone. Earnestly I wouldn't even play this game.
This is just for US citizens
@@katiestraveltricks I'm talking about in the US.
Simple tip, don't engage in dialog with them, don't tell them where or how you like to vacation, give them simple yes/no answers and they can't get leverage to use against you.
The BEST advice I’ve heard! You may appear rude or unfriendly to them, but you owe them nothing.
Can I ask you a question ?
It says you need to meet a minimum of 50 thousand a year so I have to show them proof of income ?
@@areliflores3056no. You don’t have to show anything to enter the presentation but you will have to show proof of income for if you wanted to go forward with purchasing a timeshare (DO NOT BUY IT). Don’t even be honest about how much you make. Pick a low dollar amount and stick to your story.
This is great except even tho you agree to this you also agree to communicate and talk and yhe timeshare agent can just say “im not doing this tour the customer doesnt want to talk” and then you lose your gifts and your comped vacation becomes uncomped and now you have to pay it back.
Best tip, don't go, why waste your time and theirs?
Cuz it saves people a lot of money. That's a no brainer!
I have been so some and one even said it wasnt a time share presentation. At the end of the day those folks get paid. No one is going tonwork a job where theynare paid ONLY on sales in that world. Nothing wrong worh folks getting a dicount3d vacation cause the deal was for that price for some of youe time. Fair trade ro me. Again somw sales tatics are siffrwnt but its stilk the same dog ans pony show. No DEED means i will never own it. I pay for a piece of it and still have maintinces as long as i want to be a part of it and run the rosk of my dates not being avaliable. AGAIN some have doffrent ways like then Sharton Vista where we eere told we coukd stock up our days and use them else where.
The amount of people WILLING to waste their time is ludacris, just for some "freebies"? Y'all cheap af 😂
But it keeps more money in our pockets if you know how to handle the hardcore sales. Most of us that do this are hardcore sales people ourselves so it's fine for us. Lol
Just did 2 in past 2 days and made $350 cash + some freebies
People don't like being scammed
I’ve had a lot of people put a timer and they still bought.
I'm willing to bet you $1000. You can't pressure me into buying. No timer needed. Heck, I'll even sit there for the whole 2hrs without complaint.
@@haroldd5442 welcome to the family!!
@@haroldd5442obviously you would win that bet for $1000. Lmao especially if you made the bet. It’s not hard to sit through a presentation unfazed knowing you’ll receive $1000 at the end if you don’t buy. Like come on now. You sound foolish
@royelsmith4690 dude, the point I'm trying to make is that I'm willing to wager money, that he can't persuade me into buying something as ridiculous as a time share. Some of these sale reps are overconfident. Idk why that sounds foolish to you.
@@haroldd5442 it’s foolish because the motivation is that you’ll receive $1000 after you decline any interest in obtaining a timeshare. Which means your only objective will be to remain closed off and achieve your goal. You’re not concerned with anything going on. Right?
Or orrr orrrrrr you realize that these salesman have families to feed as well and not waste their time. Buy a credit card and use those points for travel, showing up close minded just takes food off of the table for these people. Just pay for your stays like everyone else.
Give me a break! I have no sympathy for these sales people. These companies beg you to sit in a timeshare presentation and swear there is no pressure to buy, they just want to show you the property. After the presentation and you express that you are not interested, the sales people turn into disrespectful and rude a-holes even though you were lied to and told there would be no pressure to by. But I guess you no problem with the dishonest tactics these companies use to get families to attend the presentations in the first place.
They make bank. Stfu.
No sympathy for these dirt bags. They chose their profession. Now they can live with it.
There’s a special place in hell for people like you
❤❤I agree
