He did answer her question he literally said he has hadn’t thought about what’s next cor him but also explained his thought process and when she apologized he told her don’t apologize in the beginning of the scene
Trina is not passive all the time. And she had to understand why this is so important to him. There's no need for her to be a little passive aggressive about Esme, referring to them like a little family when she knows that Spencer does not want that with Esme. And it's not even the Esme situation that is the biggest factor keeping them apart. It's Portia. And it was Trina who made the decision to move back home. Trina's decision to want to fix things between her mother and Curtis. In a sense, Spencer and Trina are doing the same thing, taking care of other people and putting themselves in living situations that are not good for their relationship. The difference is that Ace is a baby with no father, and Portia is a grown woman who is controlling, deceitful, and manipulative. They both need to make time to prioritize their relationship, and they need to stop caring how anyone else feels about their relationship.

Bruh, they literally took Nikolas's background of being isolated on an island with no friends, homeschooled, no celebrations of birthdays, friends w/ staff only and gave it to Spencer, who we saw on screen actually have friends and family surround him. I'll never understand why soaps don't properly delve into character history. If the writers were smart, they could have done a generational trauma storyline. For example, Stefan and Laura also faked ther own deaths and played tug of war with a confused and hurt Nikolas.
It's interesting how they write Spencer this way. Because Luke would do the same thing to Laura as well when she would bring up issues important to her.
Trina is being kind to Spencer , because "I don't know. I honestly haven't given it a lot of thought' in the real world is conversation that ends in an ultimatum Trina had every right to be more honest about how she felt. Spencer has gone from intentional in regards to Trina to indecisive as he leaves himself to be open to being manipulated Esme.
I understand that Trina loves him and he loves her but that's not an excuse to accept every and anything. I think he has a lot to figure out and he's still not considering Trina in all this living with Esme scenario, just like Portia said. Trina's gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. That's just her way, but I don't think she can or should keep that up forever. I like Sprina but I don't think Spencer should be in a relationship right now period, especially if he's gonna say he didn't think at all about changing his living situation. His focus is so split between extreme opposites (Esme who you can't count out of the Ace situation and Trina who Esme has giddily tormented and emotionally and mentally attacked for like over a year). I knew Spencer was selfish, I just didn't think he was stupid.
I agree the writers really watered-down these characters. First Spencer is being super aggressive and trying to knock out Dex every week and now he's super naive. Trina was very blunt and now she barely has a voice.
Spencer's has laser focus on Ace and honestly there doesn't seem to be room for Trina. I liked Trina/Spencer together when they were acting like young carefree adults. Nothing against Ace, but the addition of the baby has torpedoed that. I think Trina should move on and let Spencer figure out his issues. It's just not fair to her to be the only one giving here. Nothing against Spencer, I just am not interested in seeing Trina in a "lady waiting" role.

She doesn’t have to leave him alone. He’s got to make better choices. Find a balance. Crazy will crazy no matter what you do. We’ve seen him shut her down before. This should have been the same. He’s not running home to have dinner with Ace. Whether either him or Trina see it he left to have dinner with E. That bottle will talk 10min at most and the. How is he spending the rest of the night? He should have told her he would stay and left only when Portia showed up, since he and Trina decided to be low-key around her. That still keeps the drama without making him look like a inconsiderate dummy and Trina like a pushover. If they keep heading in this direction I would at least like to see Trina eventually “blowup” at him or maybe ask for a small break until he figures out how to manage his time better. He’s not being fair…especially in these early stages of the relationship.

The truth is spencer wouldn’t move out of his grandmothers because he was never really ready for a relationship with Trina. What man takes family pictures and befriends the women who happens to be his psycho ex while living with her and pretty much throwing esme and ace in Trina’s face. Every time esme interrupts about something stupid he immediately drops anything with Trina and runs to her. Or like todays episode she text him when is he coming home for dinner. Saying that Spencer is manipulating Trina by explaining why he so attacked to Ace is overboard when it very apparent he suffers from abandonment issues but also is acknowledged in canon dialogues along with feeling neglected by his father which is mentioned in their scenes today as well where he also push Trina to express what else she feels and she didn’t want to . Saying that he drops everything to be with esme isn’t true cause the last couple of times including today he’s declined only to go cause Trina insisted or Portia made digs as she did today and he knows it makes Trina feel bad. the pictures were literal plot points to farther the fatal attraction storyline they’re telling with esme and Spencer and Trina . The reason why Portia is getting all the smoke is because she’s purposely trying to ruin trina relationship and happiness for no reason, while her concern are valid there irrelevant cause as Ava pointed out Spencer is trina calming force in her life. She’s wrong which is why everyone she’s asked to help break them up has turn her down Spencer still living at Laura his grandmother with esme has to do outside factors like Avery wouldn’t have anybody to film with given that she mostly films with three people and she had nothing else going on cause the writers won’t flesh her out. the family photos and the pool were are plot points to push sprina forward .
🎯💯. Thanks for all of this. In daytime drama, your favorites will be racked over before we see light at the end of the tunnel. I don't believe Spencer was manipulating Trina at all, either. What examples has he really had? He's used to dysfunctional and toxic. In a way, it's like his first relationship, too. His first was Esme, and that turned out horrible. We can't blame Spencer for Trina not speaking up about her feelings. She's chosen to mute herself, she chosen to drop the charges and each time she sends him to Esme and he sends her to Portia. Both individuals are bent on separating the two of them. I think this is why Spencer will seek counsel from Alexis about his current situation. Trina, at the gallery, again is a good thing. we've gotten more dialogue at the gallery in two days than we've had this summer.
I love the interchangeable reality check that Sprina give each other. Trina telling Spencer he's not the father is powerful. It's great getting Spencer's POV on his situation. But he definitely needs to do better on the moving out situation. His answer is not a concrete time-frame and its unfair of him to hope Trina will stay in that situation indefinitely.
I get where you’re coming from, but it’s kind of a two way street. Portia wants Spencer out of Trina’s life and Esme wants Trina out of Spencer’s life. They are both putting their relationship on hold to please selfish people. If Esme hadn’t contacted Spencer, Portia would have spoiled the moment anyway. Just like Trina steps aside for Esme, Spencer steps aside for Portia. They both need to stop putting others first and put their relationship first. Spencer can take care of Ace with Trina by his side and Trina can be there for her mother and Curtis with Spencer by her side. They aren’t mutually exclusive. That would allow them to have the family that they both want. The problem is that they don’t see that yet. They’re doing what they think the other person desires.

I dont know if Spencer thinks that once Laura and Kevin return then Esme will get her memory back and he can send her to jail for her crimes , where he can finally get justice for the three of them, and then him and Trina can get back on track. That would be great but unrealistic ; hope the writers do let Esme regain her memory so the truth can come out that she's been playing everyone and Ace isn't a Cassidine. He will still be family because of Kevin then him and Laura can adopt him officially.

I liked the scene today. Trina asked about his living arrangements and if he was going to continue to live there once his grandmother returned. I thought it was about time but that she should have pushed more and given him solutions as to why he doesn't have to live with Esme to take care of his brother. He DID tell her he wasn't sure about his living arrangements and he went on to explain why he is so invested in being there for Ace. He told about having a chauffeur taking him everywhere and how he felt abandonment at the hands of Nikolas. So, in other words, he doesn't ever want Ace to feel that way. He only had one parent, Nikolas while Ace only has one parent Esme. As far as Spencer is concerned they both fall short of being good dependable parents. Not wanting Ace to just be subjected to the help like he was he is determined to be the baby's substitute "dad" and keep him safe from neglect and pain from Esme. So, I thought that was a good idea for him to explain how he felt and why, even though I had already thought that would have been his response. Now, what I would have liked to have happened on the tail of that is, after Spencer got that call from Esme I wish Trina would have let him know her displeasure instead if trying to be the bigger person and send him on off to Esme and baby Ace. I want Spencer and Trina to be end game but I think it is about time Trina brought out the big guns! She should tell Spencer she understands how he feels but it is just too much for her and that maybe they need to take a break and he focus on his family with Esme. It would have been nice for Trina to insert that her dad Taggert was still a present dad even though her parents were divorced and not living together. It also would have been a great way to show that she still considers Taggert even though it feels like they are shoving him out to help with this accelerated bonding between her and bio-dad. Have to keep reminding myself that these are young people, who are prone to making dumb decisions at that age, and letting their hangups and insecurities get the best of them the way both Spencer and Trina clearly are. I applaud this week's scenes for at least giving them both POV - more than they got all summer. They made it explicit that Spencer's 100% concerned with Ace, he does not give a damn about Esme (which is more than the previous writers, who seemed to be muddying the water, were capable of doing). But he needs to be less passive, and get up off his ass. He's a Cassadine not a clown, and he needs to be reminded of that. He's wanted this girl for over two years and he finally he has her and he's screwing it up, he also needs to be reminded of that. Trina needs to re-learn to speak her mind and heart, her feelings are utterly valid but she keeps trying to protect him because she loves him. I think so much of this relationship has been her on the outside, where she was forced to be back when Spencer was with Esme, and she hasn't yet properly learned that he's hers now, she can make demands. She can say when's he's not happy. She can get mad. I think it's going to build to that and explode between them. The catalyst for that are in place with Esme, Ace and Portia. I think Esme's going to do something "drastic" like she said and things will come to an explosive head. Spencer will hopefully get the error of his ways, as will Trina, and they'll finally work together to destroy that useless psycho for good. And Portia will be put in her place and stop being a narcissistic helicopter mother to her daughter.

Actually Trina doesn't have to accept this. It is up to her to decide what she can carry. Ace does precede her in his life. These layers added are insufficient and unwanted, but it is part of the package of accepting (or not) the little brother-Esme package. I hate it for them. It's difficult to contend with but before they pursued an actual relationship he asked her would she date someone with child. It's rough, and she shouldn't carry this, but the alternative is to dissolve their relationship. Unfortunately, I see the dynamic of Jason/Robin with Carly/Michael.

He’s not running home to have dinner with Ace. Whether either him or Trina see it he left to have dinner with E. That bottle will talk 10min at most and the. How is he spending the rest of the night?
He should have told her he would stay and left only when Portia showed up, since he and Trina decided to be low-key around her. That still keeps the drama without making him look like a inconsiderate dummy and Trina like a pushover. If they keep heading in this direction I would at least like to see Trina eventually “blowup” at him or maybe ask for a small break until he figures out how to manage his time better. He’s not being fair…especially in these early stages of the relationship.
Spencer was a manipulator here he made Trina feel guilty talking about his childhood and being lonely without a family when Trina asked him how much longer he will be living with esme. The truth is spencer wouldn’t move out of his grandmothers because he was never really ready for a relationship with Trina. What man takes family pictures and befriends the women who happens to be his psycho ex while living with her and pretty much throwing esme and ace in Trina’s face. Every time esme interrupts about something stupid he immediately drops anything with Trina and runs to her. Or like todays episode she text him when is he coming home for dinner. Spencer must really have balls to continue to date a women while living with another women who framed and made his girlfriends life a hell. Wow 😳😳
I think those photos will make their way to Trina and hopefully it's a wake up call for her. I wonder how old the new manager of the Savoy will be? On an unrelated note. Because if I remember correctly, it was Trina who blocked Spencer... Anyone who shoots himself in the foot can only mourn himself. Trina had the solution at hand, let Spencer use the fake letter, Esme, (even if I think she's fake), has amnesia, so she would still say she doesn't remember writing those things, and, she'd be out of her balls and Ace and Spencer would live blissfully with grandma Laura, without Esme between the balls... STOP, let's not pretend that Trina isn't the cause of why Spencer is forced to live with Esme.

In the episode she complains about Spencer and the fact that he is spending time with Esme (his ex GF) and his half-brother, when they had THE opportunity to get her out of the way once and for all.
- 2 - Portia has no right to meddle in her daughter's relationship, no matter how much she doesn't like Spencer. Is it Portia's responsibility to decide who, Trina, should or shouldn't forgive? Because as far as I'm concerned the person Trina doesn't have to forgive is Esme, not Spencer, it wasn't Spencer who drugged Trina or framed her for Joss & Cam's Revenge Porn, it was Esme.
- 3 - Portia is also a hypocrite... 20 years ago she decided to spread her legs and cheat on her husband, with Curtis, she lied to 3 people for 20 years, the truth came out and she played victim without consider the pain it caused, when she found out that Curtis kissed Jordan, after their wedding and after finding out that Trina is his daughter, she made a scene about being jealous… I'm sorry but Portia has lost all rights to meddle in other people's lives, when as a grown woman, she can't keep her own in order.
I agree with all of this. Trina deserves a better partner than Spencer. It’s been two years of watching her deal with this nonsense.
Saying that Spencer is manipulating Trina by explaining why he so attacked to Ace is overboard when it very apparent he suffers from abandonment issues but also is acknowledged in canon dialogues along with feeling neglected by his father which is mentioned in their scenes today as well where he also push Trina to express what else she feels and she didn’t want to .
Saying that he drops everything to be with esme isn’t true cause the last couple of times including today he’s declined only to go cause Trina insisted or Portia made digs as she did today and he knows it makes Trina feel bad. the pictures were literal plot points to farther the fatal attraction storyline they’re telling with esme and Spencer and Trina .
The reason why Portia is getting all the smoke is because she’s purposely trying to ruin trina relationship and happiness for no reason, while her concern are valid there irrelevant cause as Ava pointed out Spencer is trina calming force in her life. She’s wrong which is why everyone she’s asked to help break them up has turn her down
Spencer still living at Laura his grandmother with esme has to do outside factors like Avery wouldn’t have anybody to film with given that she mostly films with three people and she had nothing else going on cause the writers won’t flesh her out.

🎯💯. Thanks for all of this. In daytime drama, your favorites will be racked over before we see light at the end of the tunnel. I don't believe Spencer was manipulating Trina at all, either. What examples has he really had? He's used to dysfunctional and toxic. In a way, it's like his first relationship, too. His first was Esme, and that turned out horrible. We can't blame Spencer for Trina not speaking up about her feelings. She's chosen to mute herself, she chosen to drop the charges and each time she sends him to Esme and he sends her to Portia. Both individuals are bent on separating the two of them. I think this is why Spencer will seek counsel from Alexis about his current situation. Trina, at the gallery, again is a good thing. we've gotten more dialogue at the gallery in two days than we've had this summer.

I love the interchangeable reality check that Sprina give each other. Trina telling Spencer he's not the father is powerful. It's great getting Spencer's POV on his situation. But he definitely needs to do better on the moving out situation. His answer is not a concrete time-frame and its unfair of him to hope Trina will stay in that situation indefinitely.
I get where you’re coming from, but it’s kind of a two way street. Portia wants Spencer out of Trina’s life and Esme wants Trina out of Spencer’s life. They are both putting their relationship on hold to please selfish people. If Esme hadn’t contacted Spencer, Portia would have spoiled the moment anyway. Just like Trina steps aside for Esme, Spencer steps aside for Portia. They both need to stop putting others first and put their relationship first. Spencer can take care of Ace with Trina by his side and Trina can be there for her mother and Curtis with Spencer by her side. They aren’t mutually exclusive. That would allow them to have the family that they both want. The problem is that they don’t see that yet. They’re doing what they think the other person desires.

Spencer choosing to leave (regardless of whether Trina said it was okay -which da F?!?!) was STUPID!! If the baby that’s not your son only has a bottle then you’re going no,e to have dinner with E. Trina sent her boyfriend off to have dinner with another woman. That’s just dumb. Ace is. Kt going to miss you for one night Spencer…he said as much when he declined to leave word with his baby brother the night Curtis was shot. I will say the writing always beyyer the last two days. I LOVE that Trina finally said out loud to him that he’s not the dad. But I also felt like he left the entire conversation without really hearing a word she said. (Specifically in regards to his living situation)
I dont know if Spencer thinks that once Laura and Kevin return then Esme will get her memory back and he can send her to jail for her crimes , where he can finally get justice for the three of them, and then him and Trina can get back on track. That would be great but unrealistic ; hope the writers do let Esme regain her memory so the truth can come out that she's been playing everyone and Ace isn't a Cassidine. He will still be family because of Kevin then him and Laura can adopt him officially.
As much as I love Spencer and Trina together, the end is coming. How can it be you love Trina or say shes a priority when at s moments notice u run when Esme calls or texts. Thank you for being " father of the year" but u are not the father and even though ur childhood was bad and nicholas is gone... doesnt mean u dont have needs or u shouldn't have a life with ur gf? I liked the scene today. Trina asked about his living arrangements and if he was going to continue to live there once his grandmother returned. I thought it was about time but that she should have pushed more and given him solutions as to why he doesn't have to live with Esme to take care of his brother.
He DID tell her he wasn't sure about his living arrangements and he went on to explain why he is so invested in being there for Ace. He told about having a chauffeur taking him everywhere and how he felt abandonment at the hands of Nikolas. So, in other words, he doesn't ever want Ace to feel that way. He only had one parent, Nikolas while Ace only has one parent Esme. As far as Spencer is concerned they both fall short of being good dependable parents. Not wanting Ace to just be subjected to the help like he was he is determined to be the baby's substitute "dad" and keep him safe from neglect and pain from Esme. So, I thought that was a good idea for him to explain how he felt and why, even though I had already thought that would have been his response.
Now, what I would have liked to have happened on the tail of that is, after Spencer got that call from Esme I wish Trina would have let him know her displeasure instead if trying to be the bigger person and send him on off to Esme and baby Ace.
I want Spencer and Trina to be end game but I think it is about time Trina brought out the big guns!
She should tell Spencer she understands how he feels but it is just too much for her and that maybe they need to take a break and he focus on his family with Esme. Then they should bring her in a new love interest, just someone to date until Spencer comes to his senses ( no sex between them😊) but someone who will give Spencer a run for his money in hotness.
I bet THAT would wake him up and I am pretty sure he would then put Esme and Ace on the back burner, probably even tell Trina how much he loves her finally!!! 😍

It would have been nice for Trina to insert that her dad Taggert was still a present dad even though her parents were divorced and not living together. It also would have been a great way to show that she still considers Taggert even though it feels like they are shoving him out to help with this accelerated bonding between her and bio-dad.
This idea Spencer has that he HAS to be there all the time is ridiculous. Didn’t his uncle Sonny have huge influence in his life growing up? (You know… like a father figure that didn’t live with him?).

Have to keep reminding myself that these are young people, who are prone to making dumb decisions at that age, and letting their hangups and insecurities get the best of them the way both Spencer and Trina clearly are. I applaud this week's scenes for at least giving them both POV - more than they got all summer. They made it explicit that Spencer's 100% concerned with Ace, he does not give a damn about Esme (which is more than the previous writers, who seemed to be muddying the water, were capable of doing). But he needs to be less passive, and get up off his ass. He's a Cassadine not a clown, and he needs to be reminded of that. He's wanted this girl for over two years and he finally he has her and he's screwing it up, he also needs to be reminded of that. Trina needs to re-learn to speak her mind and heart, her feelings are utterly valid but she keeps trying to protect him because she loves him. I think so much of this relationship has been her on the outside, where she was forced to be back when Spencer was with Esme, and she hasn't yet properly learned that he's hers now, she can make demands. She can say when's he's not happy. She can get mad. I think it's going to build to that and explode between them. The catalyst for that are in place with Esme, Ace and Portia. I think Esme's going to do something "drastic" like she said and things will come to an explosive head. Spencer will hopefully get the error of his ways, as will Trina, and they'll finally work together to destroy that useless psycho for good. And Portia will be put in her place and stop being a narcissistic helicopter mother to her daughter.

Actually Trina doesn't have to accept this. It is up to her to decide what she can carry. Ace does precede her in his life. These layers added are insufficient and unwanted, but it is part of the package of accepting (or not) the little brother-Esme package.

It's difficult to contend with but before they pursued an actual relationship he asked her would she date someone with child. It's rough, and she shouldn't carry this, but the alternative is to dissolve their relationship. Unfortunately, I see the dynamic of Jason/Robin with Carly/Michael.
I love Spencer & Trina together but since the EP , writers & directors are obviously breaking them up which makes no sense , give Trina a handsome guy that has swagger maybe the guy that's gonna have the art show at Ava's Gallery ! She need something good happening for her ! Trina is beautiful in every way ! GH come on do the right thing since you don't want Sprina love story to go on ! But that's so very sad their storyline is the best ! The destruction of this fresh beautiful love story is a big mistake !!!

I get how everyone is feeling rn but the Spencer rant is really his personal reason of why he feels strongly about staying with his brother. To be honest his brother is his only close relative. Everyone wants him to get up and go to live somewhere else, what if esme regains her memories and starts to use Ace against him, she already is now. He can't split himself and that's the problem he has to either find a way to manage both or consequently leave one😞
