I watch this scene over and over, it is so cute how baby Ace watches Trina, then he grabs her fingers and seems so content to sit and just play with her fingernails, if she moves her hand a little, baby Ace always find her fingernails again, it seems as though he has become very attached to Trina, those Cassadine brothers have good taste in women 🥰
The best part of Spencer in the present is that he is opening up fully, expressing how he feels/felt intimately as opposed to all the holding back and innuendos from before. Their bonding is so strong now that it will take them through what's to come!! Portia honey...Yes, you may be concerned as a mother, but you can't protect your child from every and anything. Children have to learn too...just like You yourself did, otherwise how will they grow? What You could do is try to listen and understand how Trina feels about her 'love', not be obsessive by trying to block it !! Plus all that whining and crying is quite irritating. And, ,,,still cannot get over that mesmerising emotional re-union Sprina scene which will live in people's minds forever!! Kudos to these two young creative actors!

Really beautiful, the image of Trina and her voice caused Spencer to fight for his life. Look at Trina after he said that, she feels blessed and loved. And I see you, GH you ain't slick. Yes, they are adorable with Ace but I still don't want either of them to be tied down to raising a baby. And while I hate Esme with a passion, she is still his mother. Spencer can be involved and watch over his brother without taking him completely and he doesn't need to live with Laura and Esme to do that. His relationship with Sonny is a perfect example. Sonny has guided Spencer while hating Nikolas but Spencer knows all he has to do is pick up the phone and Sonny would be there, he can do the same thing with Ace.
RIP Jackie Zeman aka Bobbie Spencer.. She was a big part of GH especially in the early Luke and Laura and Scotty era. Her being reformed from the bad girl to a good one, one bad marriage after another and a child Carly who came to town slept with her husband and so one. Thank goodness she was able to participate in the Nurses Ball
Yep, yep, and yep. I think that was the whole point of GH showcasing Spencer, Trina and Ace as a family. Not that Spencer will gain custody of Ace, but Trina will be pregnant either by the end of this year or beginning of next year💯

I was thinking about the conversation Marshall had with Spencer and him wanting to be a better man for himself rather than what someone else wants, or seeking validation. A lot of that with Spencer has to do with emotional abuse, being ignored by his father, his feelings and thoughts not taken into consideration and instead it being met with hostility, indifference and invalidation. And if we were to take Spencer out of the picture and replace him with Trina the message still applies. And like Spencer, Trina seeks validation from her mom in deciding for herself what she wants and what makes her happy. If she goes through life worrying what her mom and others think, and seeking her/their approval for every single thing, she'll never know what she wants in life because Portia's always there telling her 💯

Trina is the reason why Spencer is alive and vice versa. They are kindred spirits. They will always find their way back together no matter who or what comes in their way ( a.k.a Rory, Esme, Portia, Victor, exploding ships, temper tantrums about Dex, Joss, Ava, etc. )
Everyone keeps doubting Spencer’s intentions but after watching this I’m absolutely positive he’s acting in the best interests of his brother. Say what you want but Spencer was telling the truth, he didn’t have the chance at a normal life and family, and more likely than not Ace won’t either. He has every right to be protective!!

Yes, you are right, and Trina paid attention when he was talking. They both can feel each other, and this is where Blackbutterfly talks about the Twin Flame, they are finding their way back to each other. Both felt something pulling them back to the other. Esme has not changed, she ran into the room, where is my baby, Spencer holding Ace.

It's interesting that she says this not realizing not once but twice Spencer has actually encouraged Trina to mend her relationship with her mother or at least hear her out. First when she overheard her mom and Stella arguing in the hospital about Portia cheating and again the night she found out about the paternity issue. It's crazy she's at war with someone who genuinely cares about her well being and her close relationship with her mom . Coming from someone who's been betrayed numerous times it speaks volumes . I wish Trina would say something about that to her mom .
When he asked her " Are you holding up ok" his body was leaned to the side in the chair so that she can lay on his shoulder and the baby laying on chest, it's the contentment, and ease. This is why trina is falling for him. Not the self absorbed, entitlement but don't get me wrong, she understands the different levels of his personality and she knows her man. This side is the spencer that portia should get to know.
As annoying as this baby storyline is with Esme, I could see why Spencer is going overboard. Spencer is yearning to have a family. Yes, he should recognize that it's not fair for Ace to be raise w/o a mom like he was but truthfully, he doesn't see a mother figure in Esme. He really only had Laura and even then, he was shipped off to boarding school. Its gonna take time with a lot of trial and error before he gives up on this idea. Plus, it doesn't help not knowing when Esme is going to leave with Ace. I think we have to remember that he lived a life of privilege so certain behaviors we see as obscene is normal for him. It's a good that he has Trina to balance him out.

I’m totally annoyed with Michael character at the moment, he’s just a selfish jerk that want to put his father in prison who’s Sonny never did anything bad to him…He’s always there even something comes up with Willow, Carly, Joss or the kids. But, looks like Spencer and Trina will definitely be great parents in the future. If Spencer ever has a daughter, he will automatically be so protective over his daughter. Showcasing them as a family I believe is pointing to a pregnancy at some point either later on in the year or beginning of next year. I say that because of the whole custody situation and Portia possibly looking to fiddle with paternity results making Spencer the father in hopes that it will break up Sprina. Unfortunately, this will have devastating consequences because of how attached Spencer is to his brother. Having him believe he's the father will only drive him to sue for full custody only to find out that not only is he not the child's father, but that they're not related at all. The only way to heal this would be if Trina became pregnant during their marriage of convenience. As far as Michael, Carly, Drew Willow, etc, etc, etc......boring ASF 💯

Three months ago!!! This scene was like in another galaxy where writing and POV of a super couple mattered. It’s an alternate universe I wish the viewers were in where the natural continuation of THIS story happened not the garbage we got when they got to the hospital.
They’ve found 100 ways to say I love you without actually doing it…I’m still not here for them raising a baby, but if the show would get rid of esme, I wouldn’t mind. Babies always end up “at day care”, “up stairs sleeping”, “with grandma”, etc…so we’d probably never see chunk chunk anyways.

Great scenes with sprina today but I’m hoping this is not the start of them two being only on two times a month never being able to get 5 minutes in without other people around or not being able to kiss without being interrupted by esme or someone else. I really think gh has lost a storyline for esme so that is where the guardianship with ace comes in.
Spencer may want to hold Ace but Ace wants Trina to hold him. Too cute. I have a recently turned 1 yr old and so these baby scenes really make me smile. But yeah that baby needs his mom and who know memories or not that baby may just make Esme better.

I hope Spencer doesn't start acting weird since they are home now. He looked a little stand offish when they got back and kind of of dismissive towards her today . I was shocked and saddened by the news that she passed away. She has been such an integral part of the show, she was a part of the foundation that made general hospital what is General Hospital today. I remember back in the 80's when she was dating a mobster name Roy DeLuca (one of Luke's friends) , to dating Scotty, or when she suffered the loss of her daughter. Just a wonderful actress and I'm sure she'll be missed by GH family as well as her own family. I'm sure there be a lot of recognition from the show.

He can't lose this love because no one ever loved him like this. They have been friends, now together, went through hell with Victor and faced death, and made it out alive. They know they are so blessed because they are with one another.
As much as I understand Spencer's trouble with Esme and his love for his little brother, I don't deem him fit as Ace's guardian. While Esme's misdeeds made her unworthy of anything, including motherhood before her amnesia, Spencer is no better than her because he's made a lot of mistakes, too. He repeatedly took out his anger & distrust on Dex, disobeyed Laura's instructions not to come to Spring Ridge, threw a tantrum while she and Kevin visited Esme, and lastly... He made the biggest mistake by enlisting Victor's help in getting custody of Ace, and look what happened afterward. Fortunately, they all came out alive and Victor is dead (THANK HEAVENS). But, if Spencer is going to persist in his battle for custody of Ace, he's only setting himself up for more failure 'cause I don't think he's fully thinking about Ace's best interests. More likely, he's thinking about his best interests for Ace. I'm sorry, Spencer, but I gotta be honest with you... You're not worthy to be Ace's guardian. And I hope you never will.
Spencer doesn’t see it, but maybe Trina will help him. He saying that he has to be the one that raises Ace, doesn’t make him any better than Victor. Victor thought he knew what was right and was determined to make it happen. Spencer us doing the same. He not listening to Laura. He’s just doing what he thinks is best. A baby needs their mother. He can keep Esme in check. If she crosses the line, he can see that she goes to jail, but if she’s doing right by his brother, there’s no need to cut her out of his life. And before people yell at me, I don’t trust Esme, but I don’t like Spencer being high and mighty either.
I don't see it as him being high and mighty. Spencer has always been clear on who he is, but he sure as hell isn't Victor. A lot of what we're witnessing is true concern over his brother's well being, mixed with trauma and fear of losing the two people he loves most; Trina and Ace. And I'm honestly surprised no one's taken this into account. One word that was mentioned last week on Twitter in regards to Spencer after coming so close to dying was "Catharsis" Just something to think about before being so quick to berate Spencer. Lastly, Laura herself briefly brought up the psychological effects of what happened to them. So I'm not surprised that they're gonna want to cling to one another; especially Spencer whose been emotionally abused for most of his life and suffered a lot of loss. It's take a lot of therapy to undo a lot of that. And it's not going to happen overnight💯
Portia is lying through her Jekyll and Hyde facade. She doesn't learn at all. What Portia is doing is not the love of a doting and concerned mother. It's called EMOTIONAL ABUSE. It's sad that some don't know narcissism when they see it. It's all false charm, false concern, and so-called good manners and saying all the right things and so-called altruism all hidden behind a face of beauty. What people aren't seeing is how cunning she is. How convincing she is as one tear drop rolls down perfectly powdered cheek. How Portia always manages to center herself as both the savior and the victim. How she lies, manipulates, and gaslights those she claims she loves. How she invalidates and dismisses her daughter's thoughts and opinions. How she believes she knows what's best without ever stopping to ask what her daughter wants. How she impedes on her daughter's personal boundaries, disregards said boundaries. How she stood before the audience and all but announced what she is when she tried to play on Taggert disdain for the Cassadine's as a way to loop him into helping interfere in her adult daughter's personal life by urging him to use her vulnerabilities against her. PORTIA ROBINSON IS A NARCISSIST!!!💯
And I can’t stand how she and everyone else always seem to blame Spencer for everything. Spencer is to blame for her being on the ship when Trina followed him on board. Spencer is to blame for Trina trusting him after all the lies Portia told. It’s insane. A lot of these characters need to learn to take accountability for their actions instead of just blaming Spencer.

She hasn't changed and she's never going to change. I'm probably going to get some hate for this but I find it troubling how Spencer is not able to see how his obsession with getting Ace away from Esme left him and Ace vulnerable to Victor. I was really hoping that this ordeal would convince him to change his approach to the situation at least until Esme reverts back to her true nature.
Not when you've had emotional trauma and damage all your life. And what happened aboard that ship is another added layer of emotional damage and trauma. He's never had any therapy for the emotional abuse he's suffered. And for people to think he's supposed to turn over a new leaf just like that are sadly mistaken. It's going to take a lot of therapy to deal with years of emotional abuse, plus what happened aboard the ship with his Uncle Victor and nearly losing Trina. Spencer has lost a lot in his life and his biggest fear is losing Ace and Trina. He's talked about his fears before. Why have people forgotten about this???🤷🏾♀️
As a mental health therapist, I totally agree. You have to process trauma to overcome it. It's not an easy fix. Being shuffled off to Boarding school did Spencer no favors. He was a lonely kid and became a lonely adult. Thats why he was so easily manipulated by several. Connection to Trina and Ace will help, but Spencer must be able to unpack all the fears and disappointment he has been carrying. Trust me, it takes time, love and patience. But it can be done!!❤❤❤

That being said, there are eight stages that a couple like this has to go through before their final reunion. And one of those stages, believe it or not, is called the Runner/chaser stage. That's when one partner in the relationship realizes the intensity of the relationship and seeks to run for fear of having to face their emotions. It is said that Twin flames are each other's mirror, so in this case I see Spencer being the one to run, because of what he's had to incur emotionally and mentally at the hands of a narcissistic father. Nicholas is emotionally detached, he's put women before the well being of his own son. He slept with son's ex girlfriend. And when you have father who refuses to take accountability and instead projects onto others including his son, that's a lot to ingest. Plus, as you stated, he was raised mostly by boarding schools. So that's what I see happening at some point. It's unfathomable to someone like Spencer that someone actually loves him 💯
Thinking about it, all those reasons Spencer gave is why he shouldn’t be Ace’s guardian. Yeah Victor is “gone”,but Nic might still be out there and Valentin. Ace was taken because he’s a Cassidine and even if he tries and separate himself, Spencer is one too, which can only put Ace’s life in jeopardy, for another nutty one to come out of the woodwork.
That's like saying you should live in fear because of what ifs. That's no way to live. If he and Trina ever do get married they're going to want to have children. Really beautiful, the image of Trina and her voice caused Spencer to fight for his life. Look at Trina after he said that, she feels blessed and loved. And I see you, GH you ain't slick. Yes, they are adorable with Ace but I still don't want either of them to be tied down to raising a baby. And while I hate Esme with a passion, she is still his mother. Spencer can be involved and watch over his brother without taking him completely and he doesn't need to live with Laura and Esme to do that. His relationship with Sonny is a perfect example. Sonny has guided Spencer while hating Nikolas but Spencer knows all he has to do is pick up the phone and Sonny would be there, he can do the same thing with Ace.

I was thinking about the conversation Marshall had with Spencer and him wanting to be a better man for himself rather than what someone else wants, or seeking validation. A lot of that with Spencer has to do with emotional abuse, being ignored by his father, his feelings and thoughts not taken into consideration and instead it being met with hostility, indifference and invalidation. And if we were to take Spencer out of the picture and replace him with Trina the message still applies. And like Spencer, Trina seeks validation from her mom in deciding for herself what she wants and what makes her happy. If she goes through life worrying what her mom and others think, and seeking her/their approval for every single thing, she'll never know what she wants in life because Portia's always there telling her 💯

When he asked her " Are you holding up ok" his body was leaned to the side in the chair so that she can lay on his shoulder and the baby laying on chest, it's the contentment, and ease.
This is why trina is falling for him. Not the self absorbed, entitlement but don't get me wrong, she understands the different levels of his personality and she knows her man. This side is the spencer that portia should get to know.
As annoying as this baby storyline is with Esme, I could see why Spencer is going overboard. Spencer is yearning to have a family. Yes, he should recognize that it's not fair for Ace to be raise w/o a mom like he was but truthfully, he doesn't see a mother figure in Esme. He really only had Laura and even then, he was shipped off to boarding school. Its gonna take time with a lot of trial and error before he gives up on this idea. Plus, it doesn't help not knowing when Esme is going to leave with Ace. I think we have to remember that he lived a life of privilege so certain behaviors we see as obscene is normal for him. It's a good that he has Trina to balance him out.

Showcasing them as a family I believe is pointing to a pregnancy at some point either later on in the year or beginning of next year. I say that because of the whole custody situation and Portia possibly looking to fiddle with paternity results making Spencer the father in hopes that it will break up Sprina. Unfortunately, this will have devastating consequences because of how attached Spencer is to his brother. Having him believe he's the father will only drive him to sue for full custody only to find out that not only is he not the child's father, but that they're not related at all. The only way to heal this would be if Trina became pregnant during their marriage of convenience.

Great scenes with sprina today but I’m hoping this is not the start of them two being only on two times a month never being able to get 5 minutes in without other people around or not being able to kiss without being interrupted by esme or someone else. I really think gh has lost a storyline for esme so that is where the guardianship with ace comes in.

I was shocked and saddened by the news that she passed away. She has been such an integral part of the show, she was a part of the foundation that made general hospital what is General Hospital today. I remember back in the 80's when she was dating a mobster name Roy DeLuca (one of Luke's friends) , to dating Scotty, or when she suffered the loss of her daughter. Just a wonderful actress and I'm sure she'll be missed by GH family as well as her own family. I'm sure there be a lot of recognition from the show.

He can't lose this love because no one ever loved him like this. They have been friends, now together, went through hell with Victor and faced death, and made it out alive. They know they are so blessed because they are with one another.
As much as I understand Spencer's trouble with Esme and his love for his little brother, I don't deem him fit as Ace's guardian. While Esme's misdeeds made her unworthy of anything, including motherhood before her amnesia, Spencer is no better than her because he's made a lot of mistakes, too. He repeatedly took out his anger & distrust on Dex, disobeyed Laura's instructions not to come to Spring Ridge, threw a tantrum while she and Kevin visited Esme, and lastly... He made the biggest mistake by enlisting Victor's help in getting custody of Ace, and look what happened afterward. Fortunately, they all came out alive and Victor is dead (THANK HEAVENS). But, if Spencer is going to persist in his battle for custody of Ace, he's only setting himself up for more failure 'cause I don't think he's fully thinking about Ace's best interests. More likely, he's thinking about his best interests for Ace.
I'm sorry, Spencer, but I gotta be honest with you... You're not worthy to be Ace's guardian. And I hope you never will.
Spencer doesn’t see it, but maybe Trina will help him. He saying that he has to be the one that raises Ace, doesn’t make him any better than Victor. Victor thought he knew what was right and was determined to make it happen. Spencer us doing the same. He not listening to Laura. He’s just doing what he thinks is best. A baby needs their mother. He can keep Esme in check. If she crosses the line, he can see that she goes to jail, but if she’s doing right by his brother, there’s no need to cut her out of his life. And before people yell at me, I don’t trust Esme, but I don’t like Spencer being high and mighty either.
I don't see it as him being high and mighty. Spencer has always been clear on who he is, but he sure as hell isn't Victor. A lot of what we're witnessing is true concern over his brother's well being, mixed with trauma and fear of losing the two people he loves most; Trina and Ace. And I'm honestly surprised no one's taken this into account. One word that was mentioned last week on Twitter in regards to Spencer after coming so close to dying was "Catharsis" Just something to think about before being so quick to berate Spencer. Lastly, Laura herself briefly brought up the psychological effects of what happened to them. So I'm not surprised that they're gonna want to cling to one another; especially Spencer whose been emotionally abused for most of his life and suffered a lot of loss. It's take a lot of therapy to undo a lot of that. And it's not going to happen overnight💯
Portia is lying through her Jekyll and Hyde facade. She doesn't learn at all. What Portia is doing is not the love of a doting and concerned mother. It's called EMOTIONAL ABUSE. It's sad that some don't know narcissism when they see it. It's all false charm, false concern, and so-called good manners and saying all the right things and so-called altruism all hidden behind a face of beauty. What people aren't seeing is how cunning she is. How convincing she is as one tear drop rolls down perfectly powdered cheek. How Portia always manages to center herself as both the savior and the victim. How she lies, manipulates, and gaslights those she claims she loves. How she invalidates and dismisses her daughter's thoughts and opinions. How she believes she knows what's best without ever stopping to ask what her daughter wants. How she impedes on her daughter's personal boundaries, disregards said boundaries. How she stood before the audience and all but announced what she is when she tried to play on Taggert disdain for the Cassadine's as a way to loop him into helping interfere in her adult daughter's personal life by urging him to use her vulnerabilities against her. PORTIA ROBINSON IS A NARCISSIST!!!💯
And I can’t stand how she and everyone else always seem to blame Spencer for everything. Spencer is to blame for her being on the ship when Trina followed him on board. Spencer is to blame for Trina trusting him after all the lies Portia told. It’s insane. A lot of these characters need to learn to take accountability for their actions instead of just blaming Spencer.

She hasn't changed and she's never going to change. She's gonna f*ck around and find out and most likely blame Spencer because according Portia when all else fails blame Spencer 🙄🙄🙄 I'm sick of her and her lack of accountability. She's an attention seeker. She cries about every little thing in order to gain sympathy. How ironic is it that Portia is beside herself over the fact that her daughter trusts Spencer instead of her and yet there she is plotting against her own daughter. I'm probably going to get some hate for this but I find it troubling how Spencer is not able to see how his obsession with getting Ace away from Esme left him and Ace vulnerable to Victor. I was really hoping that this ordeal would convince him to change his approach to the situation at least until Esme reverts back to her true nature.
Not when you've had emotional trauma and damage all your life. And what happened aboard that ship is another added layer of emotional damage and trauma. He's never had any therapy for the emotional abuse he's suffered. And for people to think he's supposed to turn over a new leaf just like that are sadly mistaken. It's going to take a lot of therapy to deal with years of emotional abuse, plus what happened aboard the ship with his Uncle Victor and nearly losing Trina. Spencer has lost a lot in his life and his biggest fear is losing Ace and Trina. He's talked about his fears before. Why have people forgotten about this???🤷🏾♀️
As a mental health therapist, I totally agree. You have to process trauma to overcome it. It's not an easy fix. Being shuffled off to Boarding school did Spencer no favors. He was a lonely kid and became a lonely adult. Thats why he was so easily manipulated by several. Connection to Trina and Ace will help, but Spencer must be able to unpack all the fears and disappointment he has been carrying. Trust me, it takes time, love and patience. But it can be done!!❤❤❤

That being said, there are eight stages that a couple like this has to go through before their final reunion. And one of those stages, believe it or not, is called the Runner/chaser stage. That's when one partner in the relationship realizes the intensity of the relationship and seeks to run for fear of having to face their emotions. It is said that Twin flames are each other's mirror, so in this case I see Spencer being the one to run, because of what he's had to incur emotionally and mentally at the hands of a narcissistic father. Nicholas is emotionally detached, he's put women before the well being of his own son. He slept with son's ex girlfriend. And when you have father who refuses to take accountability and instead projects onto others including his son, that's a lot to ingest. Plus, as you stated, he was raised mostly by boarding schools. So that's what I see happening at some point. It's unfathomable to someone like Spencer that someone actually loves him 💯

Thinking about it, all those reasons Spencer gave is why he shouldn’t be Ace’s guardian. Yeah Victor is “gone”,but Nic might still be out there and Valentin. Ace was taken because he’s a Cassidine and even if he tries and separate himself, Spencer is one too, which can only put Ace’s life in jeopardy, for another nutty one to come out of the woodwork.
That's like saying you should live in fear because of what ifs. That's no way to live. If he and Trina ever do get married they're going to want to have children. Should they put there life on hold or live in fear for of whether or not a Cassadine is going to pop up out of the woodworks; ridiculous! Alexis is also a Cassadine and so are her daughters. Clearly that didn't stop her from living her life and having children so......

There's a lot of us who feel Annabelle,The Orphan, The Bad Seed aka Esme is faking her amnesia. I'll tell you why I believe she is. She still acts low key shady towards Trina. Even when she came to the hospital to get Ace, she was low key fishing if it was JUST Spencer and Laura who take care of Ace while they were held hostage on the Haunted Star. And I love the fact that Spencer right away said that Trina helped out as well. Esme reply " You'll have to thank her for me"😒 And yet, before they left the hospital and walked past Trina, Esme had prime opportunity to stop and thank Trina and she didn't say sh*t. Then last week her attitude towards Laura and Alexis when it came to getting a job🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️Lastly, I, and others also feel that baby isn't a Cassadine, and quite frankly I wish they would go ahead and do a paternity test reveal.
