Seriously how old are you? 😄 Get educated to learn that honking will heard whenever you go to place with heavy traffic movement anywhere in the World. Its not just India. Take that from a person who has travelled 73 countries.

Bharatiyas don't like serenity, and dull boring surrounding so they keep honking for no reasons.

I was in Kerala for the 2008 FA Cup final,... Took over a bar in Varkala and had 100 locals singing " pray hop Pumpey, Pumpey play hup'... Will try and dig out pics,.... There is something special about listening to pompey at strange times in strange lands that is magical...PUP

I know you’ve already moved on , but have you visited Darjeeling? Well worth a visit , the views from Chowrasta square are amazing. If you were or are in Kolkata you can get a flight to Bagdora airport and head to Silugri and organise a van or taxi to take you up to Darjeeling. The Toy train is amazing to see , think Thomas the tank engine in real life😂, when you get back down you can also get a flight from bagdora straight into Nepal and try and visit Pokhara, not sure if you’ve been there 🤔 … happy travels 💕😘
Pokhara, Nepal right? Been to Nepal but not Pokhara yet definitely something we’re thinking about. Got a few more cities to get out in india but as you know where in Bangkok at the moment got some really exciting opportunities coming our way. Can’t wait to share them

There is a hotel named Asoke, in Varanasi, which I recommend as we stayed there. It is very clean, a bit out of town, but pleasant, a former ITDC hotel. This kind of very cheap hotel where this couple stayed are for Indian poor travelers.

go to rishikesh , take a bus . its nearby . varanasi is over crowded .
India's definitely not for the faint hearted,it's a survival course not a holiday.😅

You should have booked 2nd AC or 1st AC in a different train . Intercity usually have Chair Cars only .
Next journey we have a few more trains to do here in india yet!
Intercity has AC chair cars as well
If ur 2 people travelling find a coupe , its better , away from the crowd & noise
Please travel in premieum trains like Vanda Bharat in India they will take less time.

I suggest you take a trip to China, you will have an amazing experience!

You want to relax? Go to Kerala, Goa, Lakshadweep, Kashmir, Himalayas, North East India. So many choices. Why do tourists go to densely packed cities like Lucknow, Varanasi, Delhi, and complain of population and pollution? Gotta do some research before visiting.

Very true. Lucknow and Varanasi are some of the places that even many Indians avoid. If unavoidable, it will be a short trip with high end accommodation and upper class travel to minimize the effects of the crowds and noise.
India should be decent like other places in India. It’s not the tourist fault.
@@vish6306 Ok but still Varanasi, Delhi and Lucknow are better than any other cities. Because they have there own charm and uniqueness which are hardly found in many cities nowadays.
When did you visited Lucknow and Varanasi to find it is densely populated? Except one or two highly touristic places, other areas of these cities aren't crowded.
These are among the worst regions of India overall . 70+ % of slum dwellers from Delhi to Mumbai are exported by these regions (UP,Bihar,Bengal,Jharkhand,MP)
Slum dwellers can be from anywhere from the country. But you are showcasing your jealousy.
Quite topsy - turvy and unscrupulous too if I may add but it's not the most unscrupulous place in the world though , that's how I look at what India is ! But that's how India toughens us all up 😂

UP was created by the British, they know better
you come from countries which are less crowded and nobody abuse horns . i also get annoyed by horns , some people literally blow horn on red lights . i wish our govt will come up with a law to stop manufacturing horns . i get home from office with headache on daily basis , i drink 60 ml wiskey to calm myself , so does millions of us .
