We’re in Beijing, China's capital, and of course if you know us we LOVE food! So todays episode is all about chinese street food.
Here, street food was once actually sold on the street, but in recent years, the government has been cracking down on curbside vendors, citing food safety and cleanliness issues.
Now, most street food can be found in tidy food courts that largely cater to tourists. But that doesn't mean there's a lack of good eats. We went and picked the five best dishes.

To be honest, after living in Beijing for more than 20 years, the locals really won't go to the dumpling restaurant you went to. In fact, you don't have to listen to some comments in the app, because many comments are evaluated by foreigners rather than locals. In Beijing, if you want to eat snacks, you must go to Niujie Street is full of 100-year-old restaurants and snacks, and most of them are muslim food. They are paticularly hygienic and clean. Locals people will definitely go anywhere to eat. Whether it is takeaway or canteen food. Don't miss the snacks in Daoxiang Village. You can often see them on the street or in supermarkets and shopping malls. You can pack them back to China. There are quite a lot of snacks. Locals in Beijing must buy them for the Lunar New Year. Again, don't miss Niu Street food.

46 yuan, this dumpling restaurant is designed to entertain foreigners. At the same price, 40 dumplings can be eaten in any dumpling restaurant. All Chinese dumplings are made with fresh vegetables and meat, otherwise the filling will separate the water in the vegetables due to the presence of salt. Any small roadside restaurant can provide top-quality dumplings.

it is not right.Mr shi,the very famous dumpling restaurant in Beijing. The price is more expensive, but there are many strange flavors that are difficult to find in other dumpling shops. So the price is also expensive. We often go, but still feel to go a little less, the taste is generally expensive.

@@user-cf9mf5ut9l As a native of Beijing, I don't know which dumpling restaurants have the best reviews. As locals, we don't pay attention to online reviews because there are too many marketing methods on the internet (these marketing costs are charged from your meal expenses). The best evaluation is to visit the community where locals live and see if there are many locals dining in restaurants.

As a Chinese studying in the US I always enjoy watching these videos of westerners touring in my country. Bc they got fresh eyes but at the same time very relaxed in China. I wish I could be that relaxed when walking on the street in the states but unfortunately as an Asian I can’t. Here is like a jungle I always need to beware of any hidden dangers. But in China your nerves can be fully relaxed like lying on your bed. That’s the most important freedom isn’t it?

Welcome to China, we welcome any friendly friends to come here and enjoy the delicious food, beautiful scenery, and rich historical and cultural heritage. If you have time, you can search and view local war history museums and monuments. Most cities have related sites because we were killed by the invading Japanese army in the past, 35 million people. However, Western news will not mention this matter. I will deeply thank every friend who is willing to help us remember this humiliating history, because Japan has never regretted it, war criminals are still worshipped there, and most Japanese people do not admit their harm to our aggression. Thank you very much, and I wish you a pleasant time and a smooth journey.

just keep in mind there are two main apps, the blue qr is for 'ali' and the green is for 'we'. many street vendors don't have a proper business account so they can't accept payment linked to a foreign credit card. the 'we' app is thus more common as small sellers are just using their personal account to accept payment. I'm just calling it ali and we so yt doesn't tag me for spamming and thus deleted 😅

Therefore, she cannot accept credit card payments from foreigners, but payment from Chinese people is acceptable. But if you spend money in ordinary stores, you don’t have to worry, you can pay. Beijing is known as a "food desert". I have lived in Beijing for more than ten years, but I have never liked any local food in Beijing. There are too many kinds of food in China. The tastes vary greatly from place to place. Relatively speaking, southern food is lighter in taste. If you can't eat spicy food, you can't eat at least half of the food.
