We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15.

Why are you sitting on the top berth, you have sits on the lower berth. It's only meant for sleeping at night during the the day the lowest birth are seats for the middle and top berth passengers. Why are you coouped up on the top berth for the entire journey., that is crazt😮.
We were sitting on the bottom for 11 hours and top for 6. So not as crazy as you make out. And also if I pay for a berth it’s not a issue if I sit kneel or lay on it 😂 is it?

Few things so if you feels like seating you can always sit on lower berth till night time and lay off on top bunker feel like sleeping
If you feel the toilets are not cleaned you can complain on the indian railway app or the attendant they will get it cleared as well
We did sit on the bottom bunk for 11 hours of the trip made friends and ate cannabis 😂

As I visited Kolkata..it looks very old and not a representer of emerging economy of India, and more over now is Election time, so prefer Kerala, Goa, Ladakh, Andaman , Maldives, Mysore etc instead...

you have foreigners quota available for booking train tickets. You should try to book train tickets in 'Foreign Tourists Quota ' from IRCTC's online site with your valid international passport. Please always go for AC class in trains never general class.
Tried even the foreign quota and it’s pretty much impossible without a Indian bank account maybe I’m doing something wrong

cow is not considered sacred animal. it is considered mother by many Hindus because in the ancient times almost every family had at least one cow. they grown up drinking that cows milk. cowdung of that cow used to enrich the soil and produce nutritious food to eat. because of that people were loving and caring about the cows and treated like mother.

3rd ac is probably the most affordable comfortable option in train. Anything up is good, anything down, well I guess u know by now. XD
Summers are upon us, and they are not the ones where u get to soak the sun. Here the sun literally soaks any ounce of energy you have, the weather is about to get 10 times hot in the next 20 days or so. So strap yourself if u plan to stay central.
Or you can either head up north in the solace of himalayas, or down south to find respite from the sun, I guess thats the only way u can explore, since you wont be able to go out because of the heat in days anywhere centrally in India; only evenings and nights are the time when people come out and ofcourse early mornings.

1. You can order Dominoes on Indian trains - there's an app for that, you've to order a few stops in advance and the delivery guy will deliver it to your seats

@@OTWD_yt That's for less money than 1Ac but has more space and less crowd than 3AC. But it also depends on the route.
You need not be sitting non stop in top Tier all day, in 3rd AC in India, its common understanding, that the bottom most seat will also host the top 2 tier as a Sitting seat, so all 3 tier can with right sit on bottom seat like a sofa etc. This rule is for Day time and not when its get time for everyone to sleep. Incase the person with bottom most tier wants to lie down and sleep during day time, he is generally offered to go to top tier to sleep, as bottom tier is for all to sit in daytime. There is no written rule, but practiced rule as norm by all Indians in 3 tier trains. FYI need not break your back being uncomfortable whole journey
We sat on the bottom tier for 11 hours and made friends ate cannabis. It was not the day time when we sat at the top.😂
You should travel only first class or second class ac coach for security and hygiene reason.

Wait till 2030, New Trains wl replace these old one's, Vande Bharat, Namo Bharat Trains wl replace these old trains, it wl have even AC Sleeper coaches, with all modern facilities & Airport like Stations. Separate freight corridor wl reduce track congestion, Bullet Trains are coming soon till 2025-26. Railways are doing everything to make instant booking possible in trains by 2030.
Wrong doings of British needs time to repair.

You should try to split your journey like travel to delhi with the morning Vande Bharat and the evening Tejas to lucknow.
Basically take trains like Shatabdi,Rajdhani,Tejas and Vande Bharat.Rest of the trains will be cheaper but you will have to compromise on cleanliness and long delays.
