Cheating is not a "mistake", it's a decision. Using the wrong fork at a formal dinner is a mistake. Forgetting to set your alarm is a mistake. Flirting with someone, arranging a rendezvous, making the decision to betray trust and keep the meet up, lying to someone who trusts you to account for your time away and lying again to cover your deceit is not a "mistake".

This! My ex tried the whole “oh my god babe I swear it was a mistake! I didn’t mean to hurt you! I didn’t think right!” Bs excuse when I caught him🙄🙄 also had my other ex tell me that “it happened in the beginning of our relationship before I knew where it was going, I didn’t know I’d fall in love with you! I swear it was in the first 3 months of our relationship babe! I only did it so I could see if I cared about you or not and I instantly regretted doing it bc shes nothing like you! Please forgive me! Men make mistakes!” 🤦🏻♀️😑 this was after I spent 2 years with this man and only found out bc he let me use his old phone when mine broke and stupidly didn’t delete ANYTHING from it so I got to see every picture, text and video they took together.

I know she doesn't deserve sympathy if she knowingly participated in cheating, but still... Can't help but feel bad for a girl with low enough self esteem that she willingly crawled around on the floor to sleep with *that* guy. She *knows* he's a broke, cheating, man child who's mooching off his girlfriend.

As a Brazilian, I think that Neymar's situation is more than disgusting. A lot of people are treating him like a boy who made a silly mistake, but when a famous singer around here was accused of cheating her husband (false allegations, btw, and the husband was one of the people who defend her and debunk the allegations), she was destroyed by a lot of people even when she was proven innocent, to the point that she got a severe depression. Just make me sick some people.

As a Brazilian, just know that the majority of us hates Neymar because of his political views, and now even more because he's a cheater. He also bult a mansion on protected natural land, so yeah.
The majority of comments saying he was good and all are from religious people who have the same views.
We call them "people from good/good people" ironically. They're all about God and religion but very bigoted. Usually the ones who wants to protect "traditional family" while cheating.
Edit to add: it wasn't protected land, he built an artificial lake where he couldn't and without a permit. He'll need to pay millions in fines, but that's not a problem for him. Still, a lot of people are, reasonably, mad about it.

It's possible that they could have been at the same game but didn't know it... possible but not bloody likely! If the girlfriend is checking his ex-girlfriend's page then she was likely suspicious long before he went to the game and this was confirmation.
Many years ago, I experienced a weird fluke of unexpectedly being in the same place at the same time as another person without knowing, and it was pretty funny.
Back in 1979, my high school drama club took a senior trip to NYC for a week to see Broadway shows and visit NYC landmarks, we had a great time. We were at the airport waiting for our plane to fly back to Dallas. The plane landed, having just flown nonstop FROM Dallas, and we were watching the passengers disembark. Then we saw Chuck, a classmate from school who knew most of us but wouldn't have known about our trip. All the sudden, here are @ 12 of his classmates from Dallas surrounding him, saying "Welcome to New York! We've been waiting for you, about time you got here!"
I wish I'd thought to take a pic, he looked so shocked. He was in stunned silence but finally said, "What's happening? HOW is this happening??"

There is a difference between "I made a mistake, please forgive me" and "I cheated on you. Please forgive me." A mistake is not listening when you should have or getting into an argument you regret. Cheating went from the *mistake* of letting your eyes wander, letting your thoughts wander, and THEN not stopping! And then following through! And then keeping secrets and lying and gaslighting. That is not a mistake!! That is willful, planned.

I don't allow cheaters to continue in my life. I had it happen once in high school many many moons ago, and I ended that quick. And we all know cheaters will try to shift the blame on someone else, and that is exactly what he did. He called out my friend for ratting him out. I dumped him in front of all of his friends in the middle of the packed lunch room.

Sadly, as a latin American, I can confirm that a lot of people have the mentality of "all men cheat so it's not that bad, it's just part of being men." I was born and raised in Colombia and the ammoubt of people I know who have gotten that answer when cheated on or forgiven their cheaters with that mentality is heartbreaking.
I feel like on the other end of the spectrum, not every woman is aware that the man they're screwing around with is in a relationship, men lie constantly. Leaving something like a fenty foundation, stick on nail, etc is a great way to set a trap for the man and let the gf bust him.

The girl who posted the ring camera footage actually said that the girl crawling on the ground reached out to her and said that he didn't tell her he had a girlfriend. He apparently told her his parents said not to have anyone over so she had to crawl past the camera. The two girls are friends now❤
I still love the video of the girl, whose mom was coming out from anesthesia after hand surgery, and the daughter used a fake small hand to prank her mom.

My ex husband was a fan of talking to/sending photos to other women on Facebook Messenger - that's not a "mistake". That was a series of intentional acts that he knew would hurt me.
There’s a possibility that foundation girl, the one he was cheating with, didn’t realize he had a girlfriend, and when she did figure it out, that’s why she left the foundation.
We don't know that he was cheating, she was just assuming he was. It's entirely possible that foundation could have belonged to one of his female family members.
Neymar is HUGE in the soccer (football for the brits) world. People fully believe he can do no wrong, even though he's a known cheater, liar, unpleasant team mate, and tax evader. Regarding the cheater who said they would do it again, his texts are a fairly good example of the classic strategy used by manipulative people, DARVO which stands for Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. He starts by denying everything about the situation and also attacks in the same sentence. He then flips the story around saying he can't even get a date. He then continues with more unhinged ranting, we get the see another classic denial though there is no proof he hit her, he feels the need to tell us he didn't and the proof is she still has teeth. Also, a better person would never need to say they are a better person. I feel the narcissist label is well placed on this one.
Perfect, I just found out my husband was cheating on me during my pregnancy of our now 4 month old.

About the foundation one, well you see Charlotte, most people are not "dumb enough" to forget something of theirs at the cheater's house/car, they do it on purpose for the cheater's partner to find out, because they think if they broke up then they'll get together with the cheater, another common practice with the same goal is biting/scratching the cheater so that they'll have bruises to show the partner that they did the deed with someone else

Yeah, you ain’t wrong! Never weaponize Christianity. Why? Because Jesus didn’t!
Forgiveness is critical in any trauma situation but what it is not is A) up to the offending party to determine when it takes place B) an erasure of the slate of dirty deeds done C) acceptance of the offender or D) an excuse/permission to continue the offensive behavior!
It’s also not for the offender but the offended. It simply means that they will not seek retribution but leave it in God’s hands.
Can God heal a relationship even after infidelity? Yes. But it is going to require much more than most people are willing to pay. Of course that’s true of living an authentically Christian life and not just one in name only. One hour on Sunday (even every Sunday) does not a Christian make. Ok, I’m down from my pulpit. 😉
I promise you it’s not all Christians, we should forgive all but that doesn’t mean stay with them, treat them right, or anything like that.

@@ida6950 they have a serious misunderstanding of forgiveness. Forgiveness is important for healing but forgiveness is a process that the offended party goes through and it absolutely does NOT have to include a continued relationship with the offender! Forgiveness frees the offended from the weight of pain and payback not the offender from the consequences of their actions which absolutely could include a severing of the relationship.
If someone cheats on me, even if I do find it in my heart to forgive just that one time, it already has ruined my opinion of them. I'll always look at that person as a cheater and connect it to the betrayal. I'd rather just be told to my face that I'm not loved anymore and I'll let them go with best wishes even if I'm hurt for a while. I'd rather that pain than feeling the pain of betrayal. I hold loyalty and honesty very high in a relationship.
And even if one forgive, it's not the same as forget. And to trust that person again must be hard.

two cheating stories:
1. I'm a male (48) I've had 12 very serious relationships (including 2 engagements and 2 marriages - 7 years and 16 years) and dozens of casual ones. I have NEVER cheated ever on my S.O. (not that I haven't had plenty of chances, but I grew up with DEEP morals and I've always held my relationship sacred and wouldn't) BUT they have ALL cheated on me... EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM...
I've always been the 'nice guy', I share the housework and give attention to my girl, even occasionally bring flowers home. BUT, I don't do drama in my life, so I'm not the 'exciting' guy that women want. So they go looking for it else where. I'm to the point of just being a 'fuck boy' instead of trying to make a life with another woman.
2. I have a couple of handfuls of female friends (about 4 really close ones). and several of them have been cheated on, but they keep going back to those same guys. I never understood it (because once I'm cheated on, I NEVER go back). A couple of them told me that though they hate being cheated on, him sleeping around shows that he's a desirable guy (other women want him too) and the relationship causes them to have lots of different emotions and they never know how their day will turn out with him involved. (like a roller-coaster ride). I find this stupid in the extreme, as I would rather have a dependable and TRUSTWORTHY relationship, than tumultuous and untrustworthy one, no matter how 'passionate' it might be.
This brings me to the other hand. MOST of the women I know have cheated simply because they were board in their relationships. They've been fed their whole lives by Society, Media, and others that they have to be constantly 'happy' or something is wrong in their relationship. As a Couples Counselor, I can tell you this is utter bullshit.
Relationships go through cycles of ups and downs. and the downs can be fighting OR can be boring, but both can be changed back to nice times with some work on the couple's part. BUT people today have grown up being told that relationships should 'just work', which is again bullshit. NOTHING in this world 'just works'. EVERYTHING has to have work put into it to make it happen. Your job doesn't 'just work', does it? BUT instead of putting the work into the relationship, people just abandon them instead, looking for fun and excitement elsewhere, which always fades very quickly anyways, so they're off on to another relationship that repeats the same vicious cycle in their lives, never understanding that the problem is their way of thinking and expectations, not the relationship itself. These people will never be happy in the long wrong, because "Happiness" is a fleeting emotion that only lasts for hours or days at most. Not a state of being, like contentment, that can last for months or years. It's like trying to capture a ghost, you'll never be able to do it in the end.
I assure you that most of the girls who accept cheaters back is because of low self esteem. They are afraid to be alone and they think that they can't do better than that. As far as they are the main chicks they are okay what they don't realize is that the more they continue to enable such behavior the more the man loses respect for them.
And women don't only cheat when they are bored. They may do so if the man doesn't know how to please them sexually or they were never attracted to you in the first place. Also there's no point being a fuckboy just take a break to discover yourself outside relationships

I don't know, Charlotte; the church allows you to sin (cheat) repeatedly; as long as you confess your sin and drop a bit in the offering plate, you can go out and do it again. The only sin they can't forgive is suicide because if you're dead, you can't atone.
