- Discalimer: this video is based off my personal experience growing up in Italy and different parts of Italy may have different breakfast traditions :) feel free to correct me if I said something wrong!
Update on my life:
I’m sorry I was gone for a while but I’ve been working on a lot of stuff behind the scenes! 😣
I just got back from my nonna’s house so I’m working on that video as well, but I want to wait for the recipe book to be ready to post it 🥰
My boyfriend and I will be leaving for our year in Italy in about 3 months and I’M SO EXCITED AND NERVOUSSS 😄

Check out Chris's CZcams Channel! He makes the most amazing cinematic videos and I look up to his style of filming/editing so much! I'm so glad he worked with me on this video and did all the colour grading 😊🙏🏻
[About Me]
Hi my name is Rosie, I'm 26 and my life is a bit confusing so i'm writing this lol.
To make it easy:
- I was born in Northern Italy, in the region of Veneto
- My whole family still lives there (mom, dad and my little sister Marty)
- I moved to Toronto, Canada, at 19 all alone to ✨find myself✨ (spoiler: it didn't work, i got more lost if anything)
So, I live half my life in Italy and half my life in Canada.
Also, my mom is from Moldova (country in Eastern Europe) and my dad is from Calabria (region in Southern Italy) and both my grandmas still live there. So you’ll occasionally see me going there as well.
I hope this clears things up a bit.. or maybe makes them more confusing lol.
I don’t know, i tried 😄

What’s your go-to breakfast in your country? Comment below! 🥰
First, coffee! And then I decide. Did you figure out how to sell/ship your Italian coffee in Canada and the U.S.?
I’m from the United States. Second generation Mexican American so Mexican breakfast is predominant in my household. Mexican eggs with beans on the side, little of sour cream and some avocado slices.
@@Maggies87 I’m still waiting on them to make the necessary tests on the coffee so that we can prepare the nutritional value table 😣 so I think it’ll take a few months before I receive the coffee cans in Canada. But everything else is mostly figured out!
I'm from Singapore and we have kaya (coconut jam) toast and soft boiled egg for breakfast🇸🇬❤️
@@streamgirl70that sounds so good 😋 much better than Italian breakfast imo 😅
SHESS BACKKK!!! AND THE QUALITY LOOKS AMAZING ROSIE!!! ❤❤❤❤
ROSIE IS BACK 👍👍👍👍
ikr!! I thought it was someone else but it’s really Rosie!! 😍
Agree ⭐️
Seems to be gone again…
Wow Rosie! The quality of this video was amazing! It was like watching a food docuseries on tv!
YEEES OMG It's adorable!!!!
Thank you so much, I’m so glad you liked it 🥹❤
The color grading is on point! Food Insider who? :)
@@jarsickar Oh, don't dis my Claudia like that. There's room for both Rosie and Claudia in this world.
@@Lawman212 Fair enough, I like Claudia too!
At this point the Italian government should make you an ambassador for the Italian food and culture because of how detailed and informative your videos are❤ Loving this new style of videos.
For real
Sooooo true
i would do anything to try one of francesco's baked goods! 💕
hi youtube
CZcams has become people!
omg hi CZcams!! thanks for watching my video 😄💞
@@rosiemaiosei una vip! 😂
CZcams doesn’t have uppercase skills!!!! 😅
RESPECT! This man is a machine, I can’t believe he’s 70. True love for your work keeps one young 😊
looks 10 years younger.
I get here right after the 24 hour Roman meal video, and it's heartwarming how supportive your parents are towards these projects of yours. It's also (very) cute that they're not exactly having fun doing it 😂 looks like they just put up with it because they love their daughter, and it's the sweetest thing ever.
Me too. 😊 Love your comments. I can't wait to share these with my nieces/nephews.
Your breakfast is more a dessert for us here in Norway ☺ It is something we could eat at a birthday party etc. Or on a holiday somewhere. In Norway our breakfast is mostly open sandwiches with ham or Norwegian brown cheese, boiled eggs and coffee. Many also eat oatmeal, milk and yogurt.
❤❤
Same in Denmark!
After that breakfast before to go school or work, Italians often eat something around 10\11 a.m to make a break ( a very light luncheon usually ) and then there is lunch at 1or 2 pm . If they eat all that caloric stuff too they would not eat until dinner.
It's similar in Poland
We also eat cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, herring etc
Not together of course 😊
Same in Russia. Maybe it is common in the northern countries as I see in comments...
I love how you got your dad up at 03:20 and he never batted a eyelid, just got in the car and drove x
I love how you weren't 100% satisfied with the videos you were making (even though we loved it) and went for improving your filming skills and your content, doing everything the way YOU like it and how YOU think it should be, despite all the "don't change the way you make your videos" comments. Yes, we love your vlogs and your "week at nonnas" videos, but it's really exciting to see how mature your channel is getting and how you're discovering this new chapter in your life. Congrats, Rosie! Much love from Brazil
ps: tell your mom she was one of my inspirations for starting cooking school :)
thank you for noticing the improvement and for being so supportive, you made my day 😭 💗 and congratulations on starting cooking school!! my mom is gonna be so happy to hear 🥹
I missed you 💕 love from Dallas Texas
I learned from growing and selling one biz now a second: you’ll never please everyone so please yourself - first. Do work that keeps you engaged and interested and you’ll have the energy and perseverance to keep going thru challenges (opportunities in disguise.) Creativity is about taking risks and following intuition incl cooking. No mistakes only learning. Best of luck!
@@rosiemaiowhen it comes to Italian food, you don't have to eat it to say it's tasteful. By seeing it is enough. My mom always curious about what the people in the west would have for a breakfast. Now I can show this video. By the way, I'm from India.
Francesco's skill, passion and commitment are admirable. Thank you Rosie for sharing this with us.
I won’t stop until you have your own Netflix documentary series. The world needs that.
italians have a beautiful way of life, it is very comforting to watch
As an American - I'm so envious of the cultures of Europe - I love seeing these videos on the authentic daily life of Italians. & wow - the artistry, I cannot draw a straight line with a ruler, the ease of how they make those shapes with the pastry!!
Also - thank you thank you, lol, for elucidating the true Italian espresso drinks - I've been a barista & it drives me nuts how Americanized things have become - thanks to Starbucks, lol, which I'm sure you know is just pure blech. So so far from authentic & yet they use all these cutesy Italian terms.
Sorry, rant over, lol ;)
Americans are hilarious they want to be cultured but just aren’t 😂
Its crazy how the world is ! I have cousins in Southern Italy (Puglianello, Benevento)who want me to sponsor them in America (southern Connecticut close to NYC). Because of poor job opportunities in the south of Italy. Here in America or Canada there is always work. But we complain of the lifestyle (including myself). Go figure. !!
@@salvatoresalernatano5964 almost everyone wants what they dont have!
@@salvatoresalernatano5964 It sounds really crazy, but it’s actually very simple to explain, less to do. Italy is the most beautiful place in the world to live, but not to work. Other countries offer more job opportunities and more professional growth, but they will never be as beautiful as Italy.
@@des.. of course,never as beautiful !! è vero !
This baker is a superstar!!! Such hard but satisfying artwork!!! Greetings from Boston, Massachusetts
Agreed!
good💛😍
girl, we want more camera shots with the real scenario of the relaxing Italian breakfast! Personally, I’m more interested in the scene yall eating in real life than cookie knowledge cuz your shooting was so relaxing i want it more.
Yes I prefer the old style videos. This one is very “produced”.
yeah i like the way she just shooting ,it’s so relaxing and it’s ok not to talk @@jack67102
I could watch Francesco bake all day long! He’s obviously very talented at what he does
Rosie, your growth in video shooting impresses 💔 I feel like I'm watching a professional tv-show about defferent cuisines! I like it so much! Go girl 👏
As an italian living abroad I'm so jealous of all of those childhood staples from Italy that I don't have access to anymore! I find that breakfast can be challenging abroad as an italian because salty breakfast is NOT an option (at least for me), and so the options are very slim. I just stick to yogurt, granola and fruit and I hope I never get sick of it because that's pretty much the only thing I enjoy lol
There is a lot of similar pastry in whole Europe I guess?
I'm South East Asian and our breakfast is salty and savory. It's so interesting how in other countries it's the opposite. For me I can't stomach something so sweet inthe morning. Although bread is probably a staple for all cultures.
@@qwertyboo I don’t know that much about South East Asian cuisine but I’m a fan of miso soup.
@@monikag8977Miso soup is not south Asian. It’s Japanese, and Japan, Korea, and China are in the north east.
@@monikag8977 Yes, but each one a little different from country to country
so amazing. I love videos like this where vloggers show the lives of people who are genuinely such good hard working people.
the video production is insaneee, we are so so proud of youu rosiee!! x
Ooh I noticed the colour right off the bat! It looks beautiful and cozy. The lighting and colouring at the beginning was perfect. Loved learning about your typical breakfasts foods/drinks!
Haven't started watching yet but i already feel like thanking you for the comfort and good feelings your videos provide. Grazie mille, Rosie 🩷
I agree ❤
the pride and craftsmanship of this baker is amazing such beautiful pastries!!
In the Philippines it’s usually a bun called pandesal and coffee or if you want a heavier breakfast it’s garlic fried rice and fried eggs.
Happy that you’re back 👏
How’s your coffee business?
yummyy 😋I'm still waiting on the coffee company to prepare the nutritional value table so they can ship the cans 😔 it's been taking longer than planned unfortunately
@@rosiemaio Will you ship to Switzerland too? Pls Pls Pls
@@rosiemaioNutritional value , coffee has nutritional value? lol How long does it take to just list 0 in every category?
Rosie I'm so proud of you I've been watching you for two years now and you've come so far!!! The editing the documenting!! The camera quality is giving professional journalism ❤ well done Rosie I hope you make it to television programmes soon 🤗
There is one relationship in this mortal life which effortlessly scores above all other known relationships on this Earth. Feeling confused? Don't scratch your head too much as that extraordinary relationship is none other than that of the Mother..!😊😊
The bakery scene was a total flashback to my Baking and Pastry Arts apprenticeship. We call them danish pastries but the recipe is probably different as well. The brioche I'm accustomed to making has the butter mixed into the dough instead of the spot in and folded version you showed today. I love to see how other countries baked goods are made! Thank you for the amazing video.
I felt so sad when I finished the video because I don't know when we'll be able to get a video again. Time flies so fast that in 3 months she will be starting her journey in Italy with her boyfriend 🥰 Seems like yesterday when she announced it! ❤️
This video is so light hearted, comforting, and interesting
Girl I love this documentary/run through of making delicious foods and learning the italian way of doing it. But pleaseeeee give us some of your daily vlogs too. Don't worry about being too perfect all the time!! I really enjoy your content when you do *you* ❤
Amazing to see Francesco and your mom; masters of their respective crafts, through passion and hard work. Thanks for sharing glimpses of life in Italy. I find it beautiful how time is taken to appreciate the "simple" things present in our lives, food and family. Your videos always make me hungry, and your honesty is so refreshing. Thanks for these beautiful videos and for the effort of making them better each time.
Where have you been? We have missed you. How much longer will you be in Italy. I would love to be able to make these pastries even though I can not eat them being a diabetic. Why? Because it is a craft and I have had professional chef s training.
when i visited northern italy for a student exchange the usual breakfast for most families was an assortment of different types of store bought biscuits. definitely something i had to get used to as i'm from germany and we usually have a more hearty and filling meal in the morning. but now i like having an italian breakfast during the summer time to remind me of the time i spent there.
This was such an informative and fun way to learn about italian culture, keep the videos up Rosie 💗✨
thank you so much for getting up this early to show us the process!!
The thumbnail from the video "what i eat in a week at my NONNA's house in ITALY", is really trendy and 100% helped with view your click through rate (CTR). Just some thoughts, as always your videos are top tier
I love your laid back family videos but this documentary style is really good as well❤
What a fun and relaxing video Rosie, thanks so much for your posts, I look forward to them! Love the family dynamics- you seem much the same age as my daughter and I recognized me in your dad's expression. 'Salve' to your Dad from another Dad in Florida! We do what we do because we love who we're doing it with!
Great to see another video by you Rosie. Your filming and content is really evolving. Wonderful as ever 😄
Hi Rosie ❤ I live in Haiti and what we eat for breakfast can be array of many delicious foods. For example fried patty filled with meat and boiled eggs or cornmeal with spinach and herring or even spaghetti. Anyway I so glad you are back on CZcams ! I’m super excited to see your content you are like my favorite person to watch 🫶🏽🫶🏽❤️sending my love from Haiti.
I watch you from Egypt and I appreciate how authentic and true to yourself you are online!
I love so much you sharing your world with us - the videos are so nice and peaceful. Much love to you and your beautiful family! :)
Tanta stima❤
Really enjoyed getting to see how the pastries were made in the pasticceria!
That sigh your dad gave at 1:41 at 3 in the morning says it all! 🤣💕
Great effort in this video-- good editing!
Wow! Looks so good! So much hard work, commitment, and passion seen through his work! ❤️✨
Finaly your back😊 i really loved this vlog! Thankyou much for all of the information about italy i love to learn about other country's.
I enjoyed this very much! I've never seen a show present breakfast in such detail. Many thanks to your father for getting up that early! And much respect to the baker Francesco.
i can feel a difference in the quality put into this video, keep it up! we want to see a guide to authentic italian lunch and dinner too lol!
omg love this video❤ i can see you being a food reviewer 🎉 you’re awesome Rose! tell your momma i love her! she’s so hard working ❤
❤❤❤loved this format! Would you consider making this a series? Same format but one for "authentic Italian lunch" , "dinner", etc? It would be such a great supplement and explain the meals we've seen you film with your family at your Nonna's/mom's house. Love learning about authentic Italian foods and routines!!
omgg I love thiss. The editing and color grading is awesome, plus its cool to have more insight about italian breakfast culture. Thank you for this gem :)
Hey Rosie!
I was impressed how different this video felt with your camera work and narration! Keep on going! Really excited to see your uploads! 😊
So much work for one person! They all look perfect. What an experience you got… so jealous! And hungry!

Dear Rosie,
thank you for your beautiful work! 🌹
Absolutely love this kind of video format Rosie ! It's impressive to see how each of your videos hold a unique personality❤ Hope you keep on documenting the beauty of Italy xx
What a great comeback! The video was beautifully filmed and edited and the content made me hungry. I recently started using a Moka pot to make my coffee and it’s so much better than any of the other methods I’ve tried. Looking forward to future videos!
Thank you for letting us follow Francesco's craftmanship. Grazie Francesco!
Great video Rosie😊
I really appriciate the effort you put in to record this video❤
We also have Kinder Delice and Kinder fetta al latte in Cyprus and in my childhood I would eat them as an afternoon snack. I never even considered having them for breakfast because of how sweet they are.I loved them and I want to eat them again it’s been years since I have eaten one. I love how simple and light they are.
Currently in Italy and love this!! Thanks for posting ! And OMG THE QUALITY ! You’re stepping you’re game up girl, love it.
Hi Rosie! I'm from Brunei. I love Italian cuisine and your videos makes me so happy. Many hearts for you ☺❤❤❤

You're doing a great job on your channel. I just discovered it today and it's been fun to watch!
Rosie, I love your videos and am so grateful for you! Keep doing what you are doing because you clearly have a talent that no one else does. I hope your family is proud. You are an inspiration❤
I enjoyed this sooooo much. I love Italian culture. Thank you for the effort you put into your videos! We love you, Rosie!
Years of repetition, he makes it look so easy. What a master of his craft. Respect to Francesco.
I can't believe you didn't mention tea. Like... tè con i biscotti? Lots of italian drink that for breakfast. It's definetly more popular than drinking orange juice for breakfast. The tea island in italian supermarkets is huge. I'm Italian and almost every adult I know drinks tea in the morning as an alternative for coffee or even the two of them as a combo, one after the other.
Where have you been Rosie? I miss your videos :.) hope youre doing well!!
OMG! I have no words❤️
Rosie you did a great job!!❤
I hope this is a series! Such a well put together, charming video ❤
👊😌
I'm a fan of your vlog, Rosie. But I could say that the quality of this video is amazing! I will be visiting Italy again next month and I can't wait to try all the pastries in a pasticceria. I didn't really get to eat pastries when I last visited as I was more concerned in trying different pasta dishes. Keep making cool videos! 😁
I'm from Brazil and I love your videos!! The edition is amazing. u rockkkkk
Rosie i've missed your videos and i'm so happy for you! The quality of your videos is amazing and i really love that you show us a little peace of italy's life, so happy that you are back 💟

Thank you so much I really appreciate it ❤️
after watching ur videos, one of my definite goals after college is to land an internship or apprenticeship in pastry arts in Italy. there's just so much to learn and taste there and after watching ur videos, Italy has become one of my top 5 culinary destinations
Where do you live?
WHERE HAS THIS VIDEO BEEN ALL MY LIFE?? This is the MASTER video of Italian breakfast!
Loved this Rosie! You should make these with the voiceover in Italian too, they'd make great videos for those who are learning the language.
The pastries 😭♥. Also, am I the only one who thought while growing up that Kinder is german chocolate? Hahaha
Loved EVERYTHING in this video, Rosie and the way you filmed it. Comforting and warm, just like the brioches 💕
Ahahah in italy too many don’t realise that ferrero (nutella) and kinder are the same company
Rosie! I am learning how to speak Italian now, and I love watching your videos more often because I am able to learn so much more. I hope to see more of your videos in the future! Ciao! Molto benne! :)
I don't know why but your videos is one of my reminders that life is still beautiful.
wow! props to Francesco for doing this every day since he was 12ys old and how come he still seems so young :')) even tho i don't know him, we're more than blessed to have Francesco!
This is so so so so similar with the portuguese bakeries and the pastry culture, I cannot believe it! This is my family business and made breakfast my favorite meal. Love this video!!
Hands down one of my favourite videos as it instantly takes me back to the years I lived in Rome and makes me appreciate the breakfast culture of my former home ❤❤❤❤ Grazie mille and can’t wait for the next video 😊
Your videos are therapeutic for me! Hoping to watch more videos from you this year - Love Ellie from Philippines
Francesco isn't old ...yet. lol As we get older and see our parents age, we realize people don't truly get old until their 80's. The admirable and talented Francesco is safe for now. lol Also, your mom, the other talented hard worker, looked gorgeous.
so true!! To someone in their 20's, everyone is old, haha.
what a comeback and a huge change! i love how the quality and the tones of this video shifted. though, i must say, i still prefer the old ones. it felt natural and dreamy. it didn't feel so curated and over analyzed like the other vlogs from different a content creator. there's magic in your original videos that no one has. i feel safe and at home. i hope you won't take this as a negative comment. i love u!
I prefer the old videos too, this looks so Americanly overproduced!
I really shldnt have watched this before bed, now am craving all these amazing treats!
Hello Rose thanks for sharing your Italian breakfast vlog.
Nice to see the croissant making with the video ❤it sure gives the viewer more appreciation fir them.
