- In this video you’ll live a typical day in the life of my mom: a restaurant owner in the city of Padova, Italy. My mom’s biggest passion is cooking and owning these restaurants is her dream come true. She LOVES her job.
The first restaurant is a cafeteria and we bought it more than 10 years ago. It’s only open at lunch, Monday to Friday. But because it is so spacious, we use it to host private events on the weekends.These events are always organized by Moldovan / Romanian people as my mom is from Moldova (country in Eastern Europe) and she has a lot of connections in the Moldovan / Romanian community of our city.
The second restaurant we bought recently, about 2 years ago, and it is a typical restaurant where you order from a menu. The price range for a dish goes from 10 to 25 euros.
To clarify, in my previous videos I would refer to these businesses as “my parent’s restaurants” because we consider it a family business and my dad is involved in it too, but "on paper" my mom is the actual owner.
Also, this video was filmed in May. I wasn’t gonna post it because my mom reads all of my comments and there’s always some rude people online. However she seemed more disappointment by the fact that I didn’t post it, so here it is!

Hi my name is Rosie, I'm 26 and my life is a bit confusing so i'm writing this lol.
To make it easy:
- I was born in Northern Italy, in the region of Veneto
- My whole family still lives there (mom, dad and my little sister Marty)
- I moved to Toronto, Canada, at 19 all alone to ✨find myself✨ (spoiler: it didn't work, i got more lost if anything).
So, I live half my life in Italy and half my life in Canada.
Also, my mom is from Moldova (country in Eastern Europe) and my dad is from Calabria (region in Southern Italy) and both my grandmas still live there. So you’ll occasionally see me going there as well.
I hope this clears things up a bit.. or maybe makes them more confusing lol.

The fact that she works extra hard to let her employees go home early says a lot about her. Your mom is one of a kind, so hardworking doing chores non-stop throughout the day and cooking. She really deserves everything and much more. I'm very happy she got her dream job. And everything seemed delicious! i'd tell her mom to not forget to rest or employ more people for other simpler tasks. Burnout is serious especially as a chef. And being the main protagonist of 3 restaurants is a massive reponsability on her shoulders.
Something simple might paying someone family or employee to do the groceries. Because chef alone is hardcore during shifts, having to spend extra hours EVERY day to buy tons of food, loading them in your car and putting in the frige is a lot .
Lol when the owner comes to do dishes it means everyone else needs to either finish up or get off the clock 😂
this lady is the definition of a BOSS. like what the hell. this makes me feel all the excuses myself and others make are nothing. she runs two businesses and catering. shops for the ingredients herself and still serves the food. cooks meals for the family in the restaurant and spends time with her loved ones. and keeps her restaurants clean. truly a boss.

The scene where your family all went to the fruit bar and sat together with some watermelon melted my heart. Your parents work so hard and yet, even though they must be absolutely exhausted, they still dedicate time to being together as a family, enjoying some fruit. That's true love right there.

@@rb2043 except it's not amazing to overwork yourself to that point, it either means she can't let go of some control and delegate, or she doesn't have staff that she can trust to support her in the ways she needs in order to not be doing so many roles. Your mother might be the hardest working person I’ve ever seen! All her food looks so delicious and fresh. The desserts! The gelato! Heavenly. And she does the dishes too, what a humble beautiful person. This was so interesting to watch.
She does all that and then you hit us with the "she went to gelato school". She's a master at her craft and yet she still continues to pursue new skills and improve herself. Simply amazing. That is how you know someone is passionate.

I've worked in, and designed restaurants for a living. Even with the high tempo at which your mom works, she doesn't cut corners and her food looks great. She is a real working chef. It would be great to see another day of hers-she is exciting to watch.

why am I getting emotional?? My mom is Vietnamese and we live in Germany. When I was a little kid, my mom always had to work 2-3 different jobs until night. My dad mostly wasn't there for us, so my mom had to raise me by herself. She worked so hard, she never had the chance to take time for herself. Watching this, made me feel so grateful and proud of all the strong, hard working and independent women out there! YOUR MOM IS A BADASS. PERIODT. Thank you so much for sharing

hello, rosie! your mum is definitely a superwoman. she seemed to be good at everything, from coffee to baking to desserts to main dishes, which is incredible.she is so energetic and passionate about her business and works so hard. owning and running 2 restaurants must be very stressful and messy but she seemed so calm. and after a long day, she still had the mood to make desserts for herself and family. if i were her, i would be too tired to do anything. i admire her very much.

The cooks would be the other people in the kitchen working under her. the creator of this channel stated several times in this video and in others that she owns these restaurants and that the actual cooks frequently call her for help. Dozens to hundreds of people are commenting that they are chefs, cooks, work in restaurants, and praising the mother for her hard work and skill as a chef, and yet you still make this comment to degrade her craft. I don't think people realise how much work it takes to run your own restaurant or bakery business, especially if you are preparing the food and running the business yourself. Honestly it looks like back breaking incredibly exhausting work. Big thumbs up to whomever can do it.

I really hope your mom gets some rest. She does a lot!! I've worked in restaurants & most get all their food supplies delivered. That would save a lot of time. She's legit a Boss Queen. Catering, 2 restaurants, feeding her family...incredible.
I wondered this too! But I think her mom does it by hand to make sure it’s always fresh and to get the deals (hence the daily changing menu). A lot more work for sure! But definitely creates better food
@@internethugs , one important thing that slips from you is the fact that her clients are simple workers who will not pay extra so the owner has to save money by doing the shopping at discount offers and saving on delivery.
@@mrbasfed1948 well nah because she gets certain stuff delivered like her sausages or meats or fish. Sometimes it's more efficient to go a store where everything you need is there than deal with different suppliers who don't always have everything you need in one place. Plus she might prefer doing the shopping herself. I've done catering too, it was just too inefficient dealing with different suppliers.
@@internethugs When you order food to be delivered from a supermarket in Europe about 90% of the time something that you have ordered is not available and usually replaced with something that you don't want. Which is why it is best just to get the food yourself in person.

I worked in restaurants during college in the States. I have never seen a restaurant owner wear this many hats!! Running, menu planning, cooking, shopping, serving..goodness!! She should delegate some tasks and enjoy some rest! :) I’m so impressed!!
