Understanding an accent depends upon how much one have listened to that accent, as for Gordon he has a got a very borderline London accent. Which we have come to know pretty well through different sources of media. Having travelled through different states in india, I have found that all of them a slightly different accent of speaking English. And some of them were borderline hard to understand.
