It's very cool to see how he's angry when he has to be, but also he's humble and respectful as fuck when he's dealing with other cultures.
The anger's played up for hell's kitchen etc. From what I've heard, he's a very nice and respectful guy.
Well Hell's Kitchen is his restaurant so
He's an extremely successful chef for a reason. One reason is although he's an amazing chef, he's still a student of the craft. The best people never stop learning. I don't think he "performs" for the camera on his show. He expects greatness out of those he's trying to instruct.
Not played up that much. He rips those guys on Hell's Kitchen, because they're supposed to be professional chefs, and so he holds them to a very high standard. You don't get Michelin stars burning Risotto
Being a cook myself with my roots in the bakery since age 14 as a saturday help. This is a simple rule of thumb. Behind every succesfull Chef or Baker, is a phenomenal teacher.

Agreed. Not true Indian food. And that last recipe is NOT Indian. It's Peranakan or Nonya cuisine, or you could even call it Thai cuisine. Proud moment for Tribals. Top chef Gordon comes to tribal area to learn about tribal dish from Indian Tribals. I must suggest Gordon to explore more this is just one chatni you had; there are so much more dishes made out of natural flowers, leaves, roots and other insects and they taste so delicious 90% India is unaware about. On top of that tribal food is extremely healthy. Spend time in remote villages of Chattisgarh and Jharkhand be with the absolute original people of India, protectors of the land, forests and water and feel the real Indian taste. Also add to your list - homemade alcohol, tribal music and dance. Johar !
I really love ramsey for going to other places and discover different cuisine. Not only food discoveries but also accepting their culture.
I wonder what Gordon would do if the world ran out of olive oil. 🤔 I can just see him sitting in a dark room, gripping a whiskey bottle just rocking back and forth.
I wasn't gonna like it man, but it a lit joke.
Lard or pork fat, goose fat, duck fat is about 100 times tastier than olive oil and makes food taste amazing. I find olive oil rather bland and tasteless
all those fats are heavy, olive oil is light and not overpowering, but still allows the food to cook well, which is why gordon uses it, as most world class chefs do.

not very authentic for indian food though is it? Should be using ghee.

Well! Now , embrace it!! Indian, the world loves you. So thrilled to watch Gordon Ramsey‘a video with the beautiful Indian ladies and awesome indian guys. Much love.
I've seen a lot of confused comments about the ant chutney, so I thought I'd clear it up a bit. It's from one of Gordon's documentaries where he travels around India and learns about the food. That chutney was from a tiny obscure tribe in the north, where they don't have any easy access to a protein source. You guys have probably never heard of it because according to the video it is pretty much exclusive to that particular tribe :)
