Bedouin Cook and Survive EXTREME HEAT (no rain in years) 🇴🇲 Food in Oman's HOT Desert!

- With temperatures going above 50°C in the summer and no rain for years this is some of the most EXTREME conditions to survive! These are the Bedouin of Oman. Deep in the desert nomadic Bedouin people travel across the desert with their animals following the grass. Badar is our Bedouin guide for the day and we've got an incredible day of eating scheduled!
First off as with any introduction in Oman is the compulsory coffee and dates. This time we're brewing saffron and cardamom coffee on wood fire. So simple and so good!
For the food we're cooking orseya (a rice and meat porridge) and goat meat seasoned and grilled on rocks. These guys are seemingly unaffected but the sweltering heat, but do note that it is increasingly getting hotter in the desert due to climate change.

Oman is famous for ancient irrigation and terraced orchards.
You'll find the most humble and welcoming people in the places with the most extreme conditions.
I love the technique of cooking meat on the small stones.
Thank you for visiting my beloved country! Plz come back again! We'll welcome u with open arms once more
17:39 I loved it so much that he paid respect by putting his head cloth for that camel to rest upon.
Masha Allah, I've never even visited a desert in my life. Nice atmosphere. I really want to go there.

That was very beautiful and it holds so true I believe in the Bible there are quotes from Jesus that are so similar blessings for sharing that 🇺🇸☮️
@@crabmusic1 There is an old Arab Bedouin saying: I, against my brothers. I and my brothers against my cousins. I my brothers and my cousins against the world. That is jungle law. It is the way of the world when the world is thrown into chaos. It is our job to avert that chaos, to fight against it, to resist the urge to become savage. Because the problem with such law is that if you follow it, you are always fighting against someone.
As A bedouin from yemen thanks for your respect

It's ancient saying in Arabia,
So simple their life is.They are the real child of nature.
The desert is a masterpiece, it is also amazing infusing Bedouin culture
Had the amazing opportunity to share tea with the Bedouin people back in 2001.
This has to be one of the best videos you created so far, Sir. The handsome bedouin people, the beautiful culture, the delicious food and spectacular scenerary, all captured in amazing detail through your expert video-making skills. A true feast for the eyes!
Thank you so much 😊
They are a tough hardy people life in the desert is difficult especially in Summer the temperature exceeds 50 degrees.
Luke, by far this is your best video you have posted. I don't say much, but I have watched you grow over the years. I love how candid you are in while cooling off! Glad you are feeling more comfortable in front of the camera. Team Luke! 😊 I'm so sorry for the loss of your new friend's camel. ❤🙏 Hugs to you and your girlfriend 🤗

I love your travel and food show . Am so happy to have found you I was watching another food show and I did not care for the way he ate ( very crude I thought.... and dealt with people although it seemed to be a success it really turned me off. I love the beautiful travel ...the way you give us history of the country and city you are in .....I also like the way you eat ....show food ...and explain ingredients...meet people and your polite way you adapt to each situation . Please keep up the good work ....

People are saying Arab countries are not safe. What do you think about being in Arab countries? What is your experience about security when it comes to thieves, robberies and people fighting in the market or at shopping centers like in western countries.

Wow just wow , I wish I could go to Oman. That heat I can feel it through the screen, when I lived in Saudi its just as hot, everywhere is ac so feel good but when we had get togethers in the outdoors I would melt but this is in the desert! Its way too hot but you did well still talking calmly most people not used to that kind of heat can get frustrated lol I hope Ming was sitting in the car with full blast ac while most of the filming lol. I like when you said "ah so much ghee" 😄
Crazy heat! Luckily it was winter
Come in winter
Beautiful video Luke, these ones where you eat with a local family are my favourite. X

hey hi , can we use that video to add it to our description for the Bedouin camp as that's the cooking class we offer with the same Bedouin family. Would be great if we could share your link on our websites
Amazing video! Thanks! Since there are no trees where do they get fire wood?

Awesome content and will subscribed! Only advice for you next time you eat from a communal dish, it's considered "rude" to reach across and eat from the opposite side. Of course foreigners are excused!
Im baduen.... Please there is a difference between Indian music and Arabic Bedouin music
Most Westerners don't differentiate between them
There is clearly a difference if you are talking about typical bollywood Indian. I think people do know the difference
Interesting.
Nice
Hello OMAN!! 😗😗😗 In the air
ماشاء الله الهريس احسبه رز اول طعمه يجنن
Arab cuisine is the best 👌...liking from Africa
Those camels are adorable 🐪🐫
The kid pulling up in a car is the funniest thing ever 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 he stole the show
the camels are so cute
Do your hosts stay there? Or they also only take visitors to experience the desert? Otherwise what is the means of survival?
THE PANORAMIC VIEW OF DESERT 🏜 ARE VERY ENCHANTING
A Dream tour tru the Desert ! Extreme Hot, nothing for me to, but the Desert is just looking how a Desert supoost the look in my fantasy. Food is great and is looking tasteful !! And the local people are very friendly . So sad at he end with the dead off the camelbaby, but nature can be hard somtimes...........

@@Ivajproofficial Thank you, you too. I see the world with your eyes
I'm always surprised than they can keep animals in the desert like that, like what do they eat and drink? I guess there are some small bushes around and they can ship some out but still.. I guess there's water down in the ground so they can drill wells or something?
Well what Badar said is that usually they move around a lot but this area has kept growing grass despite no rain for years
14:20 dam I woke up from my snooze with that !
Wish i was there!
