- Torfa is a seasoned independent bedouin woman who lives with her daughter in their hand-woven goat's hair tent on a mountain away from the rest of her tribe in southern Jordan. She has her own views on life and how to live it.
What a great documentary and a keeper of history. Thank you for this!
I really like this woman, she is fearless and strong

Can anyone tell me if torfa is still alive? If so is she still nomadic and what age she is. Thanks
Interesting documentary Majida; looking forward to watching other insightful ones :);
Surely many people have no idea what is nomadic life is including me !
Thanks for documenting a life style that we don't know how long it can survive amidst the speedy rhythm of today's world !
When she said اذا تجوزت يضحكو عليك و اذا جلست يضحكو عليك it was translated to ( they will trick you) what she meant is that Whether you marry or not, people will make fun of you either way
This life is same in All Somalia Masha Allah at least we got a bit of the traditional life in Jordan....Which is similar to many parts of Arabia....i remember my life in Arabia village, in Mandera, Northern Kenya - in East Africa
الحياة بسيطه حلوه

Wonderful documentary…as American, it was so helpful in understanding & seeing in video thisculture❤
The translation isn’t good the meaning of some words are twisted into what they mean literally
I thought that the translation was fine, can you point to examples where the meaning is lost?
When she said اذا تجوزت يضحكو عليك او اذا قعدت يضحكو عليك it was translated into ( they will fool you or trick you) what she meant is that if you get or not, people will make fun of you either way
@@user-cd4il5qg3u Thank you for your input. She meant people will fool/trick you whether you get married or not, i.e. mistrust of people.
