Respect to Mohammad, he knew they needed a change to the restaurant and he didn't try to argue with Gordon, but he listened to his advice and actually listened to him.
But Gordon didn't actually help and I assume never really intended to. It was more about his own hype, which explains a lot about what kind of person he is. He was there to criticize in the first place, and not in a constructive way, since most restaurants featured in his show had to close down after all, including this one.

Also when someone's restaurant gets included in the show, they are conditions that they have to agree to. Gordon didn't go to them to ruin their restaurants. They were already going downhill.
I scrolled all the way and couldn't find the info so here it is: The restaurant closed in 2 years after the episode. Andrew writes stuff and cook books as well. And Martin works at a car company I think. Also, in its place, Characters Bar (or something like that) has opened. And yes Martin sued Ramsey for ruining his career and obviously failed

Kinda sad that Andrew wasn't heavily featured in this episode, it really felt like he cared for this place when it was in the dump and he had huge potential as a manager for the restaurant instead of Khan.
But on the bright side, he established a close friendship with chef Vikas because of the show. He even managed Junoon NYC (Vikas' restaurant for 2 years) and co-wrote a cookbook with him (13th Millionth Meal). Really amazing.
I think because Andrew was stretched so thin and already cared there wasn't as much story there.
Since Andrew manages kitchen well and Martin is a straight up disaster in front of house, that's where the reality TV drama story is.
And it's nice showing an underdog come up (Khan). Andrew didn't need it because he's already good.

The wall coverings before the makeover made it feel like the building was being remodeled while still open in my opinion, it looked great after
I felt that part had to have been staged. Like they were already in the middle of a remodel to the new walls, and they just threw up those covers temporarily to block the new stuff, and to add drama that this place looks like shit. Like what other reason would you just have those covers hanging up like that?

let's be fair, you can't compare cooking a single dish at home which you can give your full attention to, with trying to cook 5+ different things at the same time.
Plus in a restaurant there's the pressure to get it right, cooks have have been going at it for hours and you do not want to leave customers waiting. At home you can take your sweet time and only have yourself to answer to.
So yes, I agree you can eat often eat better at home, but not a fair comparison.

I never understood Gordon as a person until this. I want everyone who serves me food to be wound as tight as Gordon. The cleanliness of the kitchen in HIS restaurant and the precision and attention to of his employees was inspiring. I loved it.
I always thought that he was an angry mess who took perverse joy in yelling and screaming. He's actually just a perfectionist who pushes people to achieve his level or to leave because the prove they cannot.
Learnt so many things from this episode!! That's how really matters a good Leadership and Management skills for any sector. Really, overwhelmed how Gordon managed everything passionately.

Pay close attention when it jumps to the next scene showing a fly at 7:09 with full set of silver cutlery including spoon, fork, knife and a fly. My point is there was no fly near Gordon during his meal meaning he faked it.

You guys do know different camera people are filming Gordon say that and different ones are filming guest reactions right? Also, it might be shown together but it probably didn't occur simultaneously. I'm sure if they were in a position to stop it, they would have, especially given that a customer getting very very sick could be bad for Kitchen Nightmares image too if they were in a position to stop it. Just saying.
