It was an action-packed night of drama at the final Red Bull Crashed Ice of the 2016/17 season in Ottawa, with Cameron Naasz coming out on top to retain the men's world championship. There were some bruising battles and amazingly close finishes as the world's best Ice Cross Downhill skaters fought for victory one last time down a tricky track full of bumps, jumps and tight turns.

For those wondering, the black jersey guy went down because his head hit the inside corner wall. Pretty crazy im not sure if he was pushed or just mis-positioned himself...

I think it was a team work between white and pink
I reduced the playback speed on CZcams and it's clear he clipped the inside wall with his shoulder. It was enough force to knock his camera off.
Now I see it but I was already blaming George Soros so I guess I stick with that.. :-)))

Glad I found this video, I was certain I've seen the track in person but I couldn't place it and I've never gone to the event at what I assumed would be the CTC or something but instead it was downtown at the canal so that's how I saw it.

This sport looks like it needs to really make those walls *a lot* higher for safety... the speed they're going at, if someone hits a corner or a jump the wrong way, he could go flying off and fall a very long way down.

Dudes crack me up. It's like we constantly strive to find the most ridiculous way to proove that we're tough. "Oh, you're a bobsleder huh? Have you ever tried mixing bobsleding with speedskating and roller derby plus a little of motocross?" Honestly on paper this sport is ri-god damn-diculous. I would've loved to be in the pitch meeting for this.
