Been riding the EX20s for two years now, and it's time for an upgrade! I didn't want to upgrade to the EX30 because it has the same battery size... But the GTP+ has a bigger battery and similar form factor! Can't wait. :)

UL coming is a significant step forward in theory; the CEO of Grin Technologies spoke at length about this, the good and the bad. One of the main issues is voltage, I don't believe UL will be able to certify at such high voltage levels, and if this is the case, EUC manufacturers will have to start producing vehicles. It is about to get very interesting for most E-Scooter, EUC manufacturers, sellers, and consumers.

1000% agree with fast charging but I'd call it a big NO to proprietary connectors. We dont need charging incompatiblitie as witnessed with eV charge station nightmares. BTW just a thought but its not that difficult to do a split GX20 connectors to use both charge ports offa single fast charger. That said the GTpro+ isnt my cuppa but I am interested in what BG does with its new Blitz as light is might 🤘

UL certification lasts for 3 years so that may be how long a product is offered at max unless a renewal fee is lessor. Cost to cert a product line is not that expensive but it does take weeks to months to achieve. Having worked with China in manufacturing I can assure you this will be a "no brainer" and completed in fast fashion.

UL2271 evaluates all of the components that make up the battery. These include construction criteria as the enclosure must be resistant to impact, crushing, heat and flame, water, and UV light. Wiring must be designed to prevent excessive strain and inadvertent shorting and protective circuits must have redundant features that continue to function upon loss of power.
Batteries must be able to withstand over-charging, over-discharging, short circuit, imbalanced charging, and operation at maximum specified temperature. In addition, batteries must be able to withstand vibration, shock, crushing, drops, and rollover. They also must pass environmental tests such as immersion and exposure tests to stated IP67 rating and rapid thermal cycling from extremes of hot to cold and cold to hot.
In order to receive UL2271 certification, batteries must not explode, catch fire, rupture, leak electrolyte, present an electric shock hazard, or lose any of their protection controls as a result of any of the above tests.

Maybe these regulations would make them TEST their wheels thoroughly before selling instead of doing the BS they do now which is make US (the riders) crash test dummies until they figure crap out by the 3rd batch.
These wheels should be thoroughly tested, inspected and ready to go with zero issues from day one on the market for sale.
For me personally, can't charge me $3K - $4K, for half a$$ product and make me a crash test dummy...not happening on my end

Could J1772 plug be an option? It would add 110 220 and it’s popular for golf carts, electric cars etc

Alien rides sells 3 different j1772 adapters, one of these is currently on sale under the “deals” tab on their website. A 220v converter to your 220v charger is preferred for higher speed charging (3kw). 6kw charging is possible but your charger would need to be capable of this amount of amperage throughput.
Just set your battery temperature alarm for 160 degrees Fahrenheit then monitor for beeps, then raise the current until the battery temperature stabilizes at

Why does the old Masters get such good Range ?? I hear they get 70-85 miles usually. About 100 miles if at 20mph cruising

I thought Sal from Impractical Jokers was reviewing a wheel when I first saw thumbs nail. Still not convinced this is not him. Surely you making enough money from your tv show and stand up comedy gig, now you coming down here taking the half cycle guy's glory. But you seem to know what ur talking about, good luck with new gig I guess.

I have a good Long Range Ebike. Done looking for ebikes.
    But...
I want a good E-Scooter for just goofing off and around town riding. Still looking.
I want a EUC, but.. i feel i need range. Because i i buy one, i want to Ride at least 50 miles. Of course, I'll get a Roger Charger with it, 🤣, need to techarge fast to get home, right ??

    • @truthiscensored
      @truthiscensored Před 27 dny +1

Many EUCs go 80-100+ miles range.
The guys who say they only get 30-40 miles range are those who are riding 50+ mph at a constant speed. Some don't even charge their wheels to fully charged. The ET Max has a known issue of NOT fully charging...supposed to be 168Volts, but only charge to 164volts...So Take these CZcamsrs range estimates with a grain of salt
I have a Inmotion V12 which has no where near the battery as some of these current EUCs and I get 70-75 miles range doing speeds between 20-35 mph. I constant go on long rides to the beach in California 50+ miles and still have battery to spare no problem
