I believe the order could change. For example Blue was a really famous British boy band before Eurovision, same with Cascada who sold a lot of albums and dance hits. And let's not how talk about the t.A.t.U girls, "All The Things She Said" is a cult following hit, they are Russia's biggest export to the music industry worldwide. Also, Bonnie Tyler!

Baccara, T.A.T.U., Bonnie Tyler, Cliff Richard, Patricia Kaas, Olivia Newton-John, Julia Iglesias, Celine Dion, and ABBA - Yes, they are big stars. But about half of these artists are very unknown. Just because they were well-known for ESC for one night or week, doesn't make them big. Or the fact they are popular in their home country. I would add CatCat, Jari Sillanpää, and Laura Voutilainen because they are very popular here in Finland. Bonnie Tyler...I guess we know her for the songs like "Holding Out for a hero", "Lost in France", "Total Eclipse of the Heart". I didn't ESC participants cannot be stars. Denmark entry in 1978 had Mike Tramp singing boom boom with the band Mabel, he became very famous as the lead singer from White Lion in the 80's. Also Jenny Frost who's famous as the very hot girl from Atomic Kitten in 2001-2004 was in Eurovision in 1999 with the group Precious. Also Vicky Leandros was a huge star in the 70's. She won the Eurovision in 1972.
