Denmark entry in 1978 had Mike Tramp singing boom boom with the band Mabel, he became very famous as the lead singer from White Lion in the 80's. Also Jenny Frost who's famous as the very hot girl from Atomic Kitten in 2001-2004 was in Eurovision in 1999 with the group Precious. Also Vicky Leandros was a huge star in the 70's. She won the Eurovision in 1972.
Yes Celine Dion and ABBA were/are huge stars, but they weren’t big stars when the entered Eurovision.
France Gall, Lara Fabian, Kate Ryan, Nicky Byrne are missing as they are/were known internationally.
Hadise is only known in Belgium and Turkey (both home countries). Bilan and Joksimovic are only known in their specific regions (Russia and neighbours / Balkan - Serbia, Croatia...)
Mary Hopkin was very big at the time she entered
Ofra Haza! One of the greatest Israeli singers! maybe you can make a part 2 of this video with suggestions from the comments! Thank you for sharing your ideas!
Baccara!!! I wish Donna Summer (R.I.P) sang in Eurovision for U.K or other great nations
Nicky Byrne, Lara Fabian, Anggun, Arash and Las Ketchup should be added too. They were even famous outside Europe, in Indonesia for example. At least, it was a good list however 😀
Strange that no-one remembered DJ Bobo
How about Hooverphonic and Flo Rida? (Eurovision 2021)
even before I had seen the video, I already knew who will occupy the first two places. Like the movie Titanic, you know how it will turn out.
Wow The UK is on this list quite a lot. That's good. From ONJ to bankrupt Blue
ABBA! 😍😍
