- If the Former Yugoslav Countries were the only ones that could win the Eurovision, these entries would've been the winners. Please, enjoy!

Final result:
Croatia: 10 wins (93, 95, 96, 98, 99, 00, 02, 03, 17, 23)
Serbia: 10 wins (07, 08, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 21, 22)
Bosnia&H: 4 wins (94, 06, 09, 11)
Serbia&M: 2 wins (04, 05)
Slovenia: 2 wins (97, 01)
Montenegro: 1 win (14)
N Macedonia: 1 win (19)
Another way to look at it is Serbia 11 and Montenegro 2.
(Because Zeljko is Serbian while No Name in 2005 was a Montenegrin act.)
@@kennet7837 I look at that the same way.
@@kennet7837 you can take it much more for Croatia because the songs from Croatia were the most successful among the ones representing Yugoslavia
@@SimsMoyal Yeah, but this video starts at 1993.
actually Serbia under Serbia is showing first time as Serbian and Montenegro at 2004
Croatia carrying the region in the 90's. Serbia carrying the region right now.
I hope that next year a new one will prevail 😊
@@filipgrmsek Slovenia's dominance is long overdue!

SRB since 2007: Hold my prayers (Molitva).
Oh how I wish to live in a world where Konstrakta won Eurovision 👏
A better world it would've been, BITI ZDRAVA 👏 👏
same
Yeaah
The fact that 4 out of 5 songs written/performed by Zeljko Joksimovic are in this video makes it even more obvious how much of a god and king of Eurovision he is. Absolutely love that man and his music
Love him too
Serbian king
Lane Moje is the best ballad ever in Eurovision 💛 - still pissed that it didnt win
Croatia levelling the score with Let 3 is iconic
Croatia was such a powerhouse in the '90s. And in those years the Croatian Dora was even more popolar than the Melodifestivalen among the Eurovision fan base. Good old times.
To they were building off the 1989 ESC win of CRO band Riva.
@@ariccua6101 Croatia had fantastic artist even before 1989. Riva was just something that was being built in 1980es for YU.
Serbia then carry 2000s.
Molitva❤❤❤ absolute magic
I hope 🇧🇦 will be back as soon as possible
Serbia not participating in the 90s and early 2000s and yet coming at the top of the bunch really shows how big of a balkan music powerhouse Serbia is.
Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia can always be trusted to deliver (mostly) great entries in their language.
What about Bosnia ?
@@mykkorkmaz They haven't entered in almost 10 years, but they had some great entries too!
The way how Slovenia's last Ex-Yugoslav win was in 2001 just shows what an amazing banger "Energy" is!🤩😊I just absolutely love it!
Yes, Energy was a banger, I still remember and love it. But generally Slovenia is almost constantly underrated.
Their 2005 was a masterpiece!! Top3 material in that amazingly strong year.
2011, great! Top5 material.
2007, epic stunning song, presentation could be better.
2006, lovely composition but lyrics and presentation ruined it.
2009, 2012, 2015, 2019, 2020, 2023 also very good but overlooked.
For me Slovenia is the most consistent of the Ex-Yugoslavs, always serving at least decent quality.
Serbia has given masterpieces and total crap. Croatia has given very good and very bad, North Macedonia has given mostly good songs with mostly bad presentations. Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro are hitting with great stuff every now and then but I want them more present and focused. So, if I had to pick one winner for their general presence over the years, it would be Slovenia.
So what we’re getting here is Sanja Vucic would be the Loreen of the Yugoslavia Republic (she competed in 2016 by herself, and was a member of Hurricane in 2021)
Both women are iconic, so it seems fitting
Croatia 🤝 Serbia
Flag-bearers of ex-Yu in Eurovision
Thanks for making this video! It's nice to have the countries all together 🇸🇮❤️
What a year was 2013 for ex Yugo countries!!😂😂😂
Next video should be If only former USSR countries won
Please
YES!!!
I predict Ukraine first and Russia second :P
And the nordic area
Sweden, norway, finland, iceland, denmark
Although its kinda clear who will win
@@MishaBrianskiRemember, Russia has an earlier debut and has had many 3rd places.
Sad to see that ever since only one former Yugoslavian country has managed to win.
Thank you for posting this video. Being new to Eurovision (I’m in the US), I never would have heard most of these songs. I think many of them should have ranked higher but I’m sure the competition was tough.
I'm happy that all countries got at least one win each
In an alternate unverse Zeljko Joksimovic and the Ad Hoc Orchestra won eurovision twice, lovely! Didn't know he got 2 and 3. Well done. Regina is one of my faves. Tamara is a babe- Dino Merlin is a legend. Love Danijela Marija is such a worthy winner. Moj Svet is a song that I bought from the eurovision website when it came out, it's gorgeous. Less keen when the music tries to be europop and Konstrakta is an acquired taste I feel that I need a compilation of music from these countres. Thank you to make the time to make this video.
What would be cool is if you also go back through yugoslavia's preselection and saw which country won each year, and then combine those results with this video!
After all these years, they finally figured it out that camp rules Eurovision. Let3 us best act of all of them, true artists, and Konstrakta ofcourse. Hope we gonna start tradition of sending art and camp to Eurovision
Croatia kinda had it in the 90s and Serbia ruled in 00s
Really wish to see Slavic countries to see Czech Republic win at least once 😭
I've been hoping for that for ages, but there's 2 issues with a Czech win = first, the organisers have to stop giving them a shit position in the final running order = 3x in the first 3 = Domi 1st, Gabriela 2nd, Lake Malawi 3rd and twice really early in the 2nd half, Mikolas 1st on, Vesna straight after the favourite, Kaarija. Secondly, they need a song that can score with both juries and public. So far, all their entries were bigger with the juries and almost ignored by the public (the 3 early RO entries getting 5 points or less - position in the final played a massive factor in this) except Mikolas who scored highly with the public, but the juries killed it. So, I don't see it ever happening because they just can't get a song that appeals to everyone, while not getting screwed over by the running order.
@@Beckford4000 I meant seeing them win as Mikolas would be first "if only slavic countries could win". But ye. I would love to have my country win fully as well. We can keep hoping.
@@Beckford4000There's another problem. As far as I understood, most of the Czechs don't give a sh*t about Eurovision. That makes it harder to find a good contestant.
I really want Czechia or Poland to win
These videos are really great and interesting. Perfect for Eurovision obsessed people like me

Slovenia 2011 not winning is a crime
Bosnia should 💪
Slovenia not winning (or coming top 10) on numerous occasions is a crime = Darja Švajger 1999, Nuša Derenda 2001, Sestre 2002, Omar Naber 2005, Alenka Gotar 2007, Rebeka Dremelj 2008, Eva Boto 2012, Lea Sirk 2018 and Joker Out 2023 should all have been top 10 in my opinion and they should have won in 1999, 2001, 2005 and 2023!
This song was so good deserved a top 5
to be fair, most Slovenian entries should have in the top 5. But yeah, they should have absolutely won in 2011!
@@czechistan_zindabadNo
The entries from when Yugoslavia existed were from the various ‘states’ (now countries) so they should have been included here too ! After all, they were sung in different languages over the 30 years - Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian & Slovene
Croatia again would have dominated, Yugoslavia's only winner in 1989 was Croatian and most of the best results were performed by Croats or Croatian bands.
Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian are the same language!
I guess Croatia 🇭🇷 needs to send the same quality like in the 90s to win someday... 1999 is still unforgettable that Doris didn't won...
Just wait for baby lasagna, he might
Thank you again for this upload. Always fun to follow
Those would probably be actual Yugoslav entries if country didn't fall apart
Slovenia should have won in 2001 , 2011 and 2015 😢 🇹🇷❤🇸🇮
Im always happy every time I see Marija Madgalena
You're outstanding! In order to win, must learn all of the countries watching. Must have happiness colors as background lighting. Combination orange 🍊 and 🩷. Wardrobe cover your hands. Crystal, gold, silver, sparkle ✨💖💖💖✨✨✨✨. You have most if not just about the entire genetics of the audience.
Please do a mini series of videos like this! I really enjoyed this one!
Songs that inspire, motivate, bring joy, dreams, are the win win win
1:36 I wonder why she decides to scream all of a sudden. 😂😂😂
You are a genius!
Another good idea, which countries could have represented the former Yugoslav entries. I did have a guide in a previous video.
Finally this video!
From the 90s, 93, 94 and 99 actually sound good. 👍
Dream the impossible, dream without limits, don't stop dreaming. Love, freedom, joy, words. No sad songs, or colors.
Should have included each win for serbia and Montenegro, cuz joksimovic is serbian and no name is montenegrin
You should have included the Yugoslav entries from 1961 onwards also
I have a new idea for you: if only countries won with songs in (one of) the native language(s) of that specific country".
You can do please a video what if countries that are technically not in Europe won in the Eurovision?
This could include only Israel, Australia and the one and only Samira Said, if my memory is good... In Wikipedia's words, also Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan could be in this list...
Russia and turkey also (maybe)
@@edwinguerraavendano1019 and it’s more countries than the big 5
It's heartbreaking to see Slovenia NQing between 2004 and 2006 while all the others did, but we know we hade 2-3 bad decisions at that time
Yeah, that's fhe televote only national final...if you let them solely decide, please don't let them do it unadvised. Just let a panel with international professionals say, what they like and dislike about these entries and what could be done better, how their entry could be improved. And talk about things like English, staging, etc. This way around, even the wrong choice (not choosing the entry that would have been the most successful) would fare better at Eurovision than without any given advice. Even better is a 50 50 system (with an international jury at best) or an internal selection. Or an outright invitation to a promising act. But NEVER let the public decide alone.
The same thing happened with North Macedonia in 2014 and 2015
What about "if only the 7 founding countries won Eurovision?" ;-) I hope Belgium gets a few then 🙂
Croatia carrying the 90s!
Србија! ❤
i like this videos. Maybe an Video with Germanspeaking countrys or frenchspeaking countrys or roman countrys would be nice.
You should do a video on if only non european countrys won
11:46 IN A PERFECT WORLD 😍 (this is my favourite eurovision song ever!!!)
Can you do one where only the Baltic countries or Nordic countries won? Would be interesting to see
I think there's already that video on this channel
He already did Nordic Countries
You should do one with just the countries that were part of the former USSR
Please do an all Slavic version x
Please make all countries Former USSR
PLEASE))))) 🥺🥺🥺🥺
I love many entries of this region. But Let 3 are the best. Greetings from Germany.
Nice.
slovenia 2001 is such a perfect entry. my winner of the year
Let's "If Only Slavic Countries won the Eurovision" video))
8:45 No One Qualified😂
Sad time 🥲
Former USSR`s republics had 7 of 9 that year (2009), with Georgia withdrawn.
Can you also do the Baltic edition? 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹
Croatia in 2023 is the reason why we need Eurovision! ❤️
PLEASE make the DACH Countries (Germany - Austria - Switzerland)🎉🎉🎉
Entries from Croatia at Jugovizija had 13 victories (4 withdrawn esc participation, therefor 9 performed at esc stage), Slovenia 6, Bosnia 5, Serbia 4, Montenegro 2, Macedonia 1 (withdrawn esc participation that year). It is not a secret that voting was always very political oriented and under the agreement.
Beside that, it wasn't unusual to see singers from one republic representing another one even singing in their own native languages, so it is best to leave these victories under name of Yugoslavia in order of avoiding possible drama :)
Perfect universe doesn't exi..
How? Have I thought they could WIN? with such a song?
I think next video should be if only former ussr countries and turkey(because of turkey is nearby some former ussr country) won

Ex-Yugoslav nations in Liverpool this year was like ex-soviet nations (save for Estonia and Moldova) in 2020 - offbeat, iconic, or both!

where are the videos about Melodifestivalen Recap 2009,2010 and 2012?
If only mediterranean country? Saludos desde España 😘
Next video: what if only former Czechoslovakia countries won the Eurovision
Would be better if you put all the totals of "wins" at the end of the video.
Do this with balkan countriess and cyprus
the fact that yugoslavia gave us so many good countries but still none of these get to manage to qualify in 2013 😂😂😂
btw, another suggestion is what if the rest of the Mediterranean countries only won (Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Malta, Monaco, Morocco) (1959-2023)
another is what if Slavic states only won the Eurovision (Czechia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia) (1994-2023) and what if the Caucasus only won the Eurovision (1975-2023) (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkiye)

since the balkans have balkanized, i would position 2004 as Serbia and 2005 as Montenegro
