I threatened to shut their whole call center down and told him next time I answered I'll be sure I'm on my computer......haven't heard from them since. Absolutely my bank actually has a call center in India. The difference is they will ask you for say 2 random characters from your password and then tell you a bunch of info they have rather that asking you for it. The rule of thumb is if they say "Hello Sir/Madam" rather than "Hello Mr or Mrs X they are probably scamming.
Generally if an organisation calls you they will ask for you by name. They will then ask some Security questions. These will be things like date of birth your mothers Maiden name and whats the name of your dog.
If they are asking you the last 3 digits from the security code on the back of your credit card they're scamming you.

A scammer randomly called me today doing a insurance fraud scam. I may have been at work but I led him on for a good 45 mins pretending to do as he asked and "trying" to remember my personal info. Everything seemed like it was going good for him until in mid sentence I cut him off and on Hindi I ask if he was in Delhi? How was his scam quota going? Then I proceeded to tell him I was watching him through his camera. Randomly I guessed he was laying back with a tight collared shirt. Then asked him to come outside to talk to me. Im sure you can imagine after that he hung up after stumbling over his words, being completely shook. Lol. Long story short, he hasn't called back so we couldn't hang out outside his little scam center :/ oh well. I'll b waiting.... Victor.... Lmfao 🤣🤡🤡

I convince the guys that say "your computer has a virus" on the call that I'm totally doing what they ask. Once they went crazy, swearing at me, calling me an idiot, and accusing me of wasting *their* time. My elderly mother gets a lot of these calls as well - after I warned her what it's all about, she does the same thing to them as well. It's hilarious.
Try merging the call with LennyBot, a hyper convincing AI. I’ve used him to lead scammers on for over an hour.
