@@tootone Legit it's the only thing that works. I've tried politely asking scammers not to call me when I had a particularly persistent group after my number - I explained that I know what they do and my own background in tech. I hope that just asking them not to waste either of our days would be good enough. I don't like being loud or angry.
By the third call I got after being polite with them, I got real angry. They never called back.

It looks to me like he's writing copy for product web sites - possibly writing English versions of Hindi sites. I paused the video and read 3 of them. Each was different but each seemed to be describing products or how to use products with the same kind of "each and every thing" language that we've come to know and love.

The more of these I listen to the more I can hear in these scammers' voices how much they hate what they do and hate themselves for doing it. Can only hope the kid who got screamed at by the southerner has found a job doing something legitimate.
Years ago I read that many of them are forced in to the scammers call centers through loans or whatever else happened in their community.

Dude same. I kept getting calls similar to this and started wondering if someone stole my identity. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a “department” for something like this after calling them back and mentioning it.
I get emails about tax fraud and I don’t even own a house yet lmao

When you were grabbing the files I saw some named Ft. McMurray & Grande Prairie - my back yard - damn. My dad got scammed a few years ago for 6k. The scammers got him so convinced he got a cell phone and hid it from the rest of us, so they could call him without us continuously hanging up on them from our landline. It sucked when we tried to intervene because he really thought we were crazy and still believed the scammers. He got caught in a timeshare scam (its really hard to sell these properties and my parents wanted out, so the scammers said they would sell it) and I think the scammers were from southern USA because of their accents.
