    Which of the items on this list do you own? Which are on your wish list? OH and I definitely forgot to include/mention a crucial piece of audio gear in my desk setup this year. Perhaps I’ll do a separate video just on that one piece, because I haven’t made any videos about it yet, or even really mentioned it! ~Brian

      I have the audio technica shotgun and the tascam portable recorder. I had to get rid of my dbx 286 gate and yamaha mg102 mixer for a motu m2 to make my studio more portable.

      What are you mounting your Model 12 on. I am using it to mix and record live shows and then it comes back to my studio and is my daw controller and interface. I am already carrying it around and would love to have a dedicated stand for it the way you have done.

    Been binge watching a ton of your videos tonight. They have been super helpful. I picked up a budget soft box for my CZcams setup today and my next step is a good budget mic 👍

    Happy Thanksgiving. I got to sleep late the day after and missed you "live." I guess Milo didn't give you that luxury. Love your reviews. Hank

    The Tascom DR-05x was my inspiration to go with the Zoom Handy as we discussed.. (only due to putting it in my riding jacket pocket), But i was ready to pull the trigger on your recommendation. :)

    I think most of us could come up with our 5 favorite pieces of audio gear for 2020.Out of your gear the Tascam mixer would be on my want list. My most used in 2020 would be a Zoom Q2n 4k .Thanks for all your help this year.

    Your Tascam Model 12 review had me sold, even though I am using it for music production. Just got mine a few days ago but still havent had a chance to plug it in yet!

    Wow man, that acoustic treatment is incredible - it looks amazing and it most definitely sounds professional.
    I bought the VideoMic NTG after watching your reviews, but have since moved back to "right in my face" dynamic microphone because of the room echo. I literally work from the loungeroom/open kitchen with floorboards, big windows.. 😅
    One day we'll move into our "this is it" house, and I'll set up a studio 👍
    You're a great inspiration, love your videos and learning lots 🙏

    I have just commented another video of you, mentioning treatment. I have GIK acoustics treatment as well. 24 pieces in total in just 12m². Literally my everything is covered by them. And my room still sounds like shit.

    Going into next year I'm going to hopefully have a bigger room/space to record in so I'm very much considering the possibility of working with GI Acoustics. ☺👌

    Do you mind doing a Zoom audio setup overview? I know you use your shotgun mic, but are you using headphones? Is there a way to do it using speakers so other folks in the room can hear? Or so you don’t have to use headphones and just look natural on camera? Thanks! Love your content.

    love your video, really professional. i was wondering of buying the rode NTG to use with my Fujifilm xt4, for recording myself, doing some outdoor video (when will be possible). But can i use it for doing interview with it? what do you think about? thank you!

    • @AudioforContentCreators
      @AudioforContentCreators  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes, you can use it for an interview. But what kind of setup are you looking for?

    • @IlBella_
      @IlBella_ Před 3 lety

      @@AudioforContentCreators so i like a lot eating in restaurant, my ide was to interview the chef after my meal, so will be like a thing "on the go" one mic and a conversation between me and the chef for 10/20 minuts, why not while recordingg thet with my xt4. you thing the rode NTG can be a good solution or you can suggest me something else? thanks!

    LOVE your video, Which MIC do you recomend me for corporate videos (interviews, foley, ambient...)? I thought zoom h5 (diferent audio capsules) and Oktava. Or audio technica? Are these beter than video ntg? I want all around mic, I already got Rode VideoMicro, Wireless go and lav go. Thank you very much for your content!

    • @AudioforContentCreators
      @AudioforContentCreators  Před 3 lety +1

      Well, there’s no best all-around mic. Oktava would be best for corporate indoor interviews, because it’s a boom mic, rather than a shotgun. The AT875R would be better in outdoor environments. VideoMic NTG is a great all-arounder for content creators, but isn’t necessarily the best at anything in particular. I would definitely not use the capsules for the Zoom H5, they sound harsh and super noisy. I know this isn’t that helpful, but this is why we own many different mics for different use cases. If you already have the VideoMicro and Wireless Go, I’d say go for the H5 and Oktava. You’ll be blown away for standard indoor interviews and talking head.

      It's all about the mic placement and room treatment, not the settings. All basic processing: moderate compression, eq.

    The Rodecaster have a noise gate integrated. How to add a good noise gate to the Tascam Model 12?

    • @AudioforContentCreators
      @AudioforContentCreators  Před 3 lety +1

      I wouldn't recommend a noise gate even if you had one. It's very harsh and unnatural. An expander is a far better choice. You'll need a real-time FX processor like Audio Hijack for Mac.
