How To Quickly Fix Riverside.fm Video Capture Quality Issue

  • In this video, resident tech expert Andre explains his simple workaround for the video capture quality issue we had been experiencing.
    After updating his Mac Mini M1 to Monterey, Andre noticed that his live video feed was laggy and very distorted. After toying with some settings, he found that by switching to 480p for capture, it fixed this issue. The only problem there is now we aren't getting the full benefit of Riverside.fm by only being able to record in the lowest quality setting.

    What about if the audio cuts out every few seconds during the test recording?

      We haven't experienced that issue, but it sounds like a hardware issue. We both manage our audio with behringer connections.

      We normally record on desktop, so we haven't run into that issue yet.
