Yay! The crumb has come out of the moustache at 10 minutes! It almost broke me:). Great info! I've been using the Deity wireless with a rode lavaliere mic. I couldn't take the rode on off button any longer.

LOL it was a fuzz, not a crumb. I noticed in the editing and almost re filmed the whole thing. Then figured, to heck with it.

Great video, I just found out about this Deity mic and like the sound size and price. A thumbs up from me when you didn't do the 300 ft down a road test like most reviewers do 😬 👍🏾

Very good review. I added the Deity to my cart through your affiliate link. I appreciate the work you did to help those of us looking for a wireless mic.

An awesome video as per usual, Brian! 😄👍👍 As ever, I appreciate you for being very thorougher with your testing of audio gear. 🙂👌
Personally, I found that during the A/B testing to my untrained ears (I’m listening with earbuds) the Deity Pocket Wireless sounded beefier, crispier, fuller, richer and more detailed.
This is as opposed to the original Røde Wireless Go which sounded a bit flat and noticeably less full, rich in addition to some of the detail being lost.
However, even with that being said, I will give credit where it’s due the Røde Wireless Go II definitely sounds a lot better than it’s original iteration.
Cheers to you, my man! 🥃🥃

Just wondering, have you ever tested any of these with a much better lav mic? Frankly, I think all three sound pretty bad in general, just wondering how much is caused by the TX and RX, and how much is caused by the tested lavs. Thanks for the review, and I'll certainly understand if you're not responding any more on this older video..

Hi Brian. Thanks for all things, we learn very much. Please i need a wireless mic for vlogging with phone and DJ Osmo 3. We have few choice, Comica Boom UC2, Saramonic Blink 500, Synco, this have RX with usb-c port and can connect direct on phone. Or Rode WG2, but this is more extensive, and is very hard to use with Ghimbav DJ Osmo3. Most important for me, 2 mic's, ergonomy, easy to use, and quality. What is you choice ? Thank you.

Did you test with and without bypassing the transmitter/receiver by plugging the lav directly into the recorder to see how it colors the audio? I did and I promptly sent the Deity back.

    • @AkrilFarb
      @AkrilFarb Před 2 lety

Of course when you plug lavaliere directly to your recorder it sounds much better against wireless system. But in some cases you should use a wireless system only, basically, on interview. Or purchase recorder like Tascam Dr-10L

@@AkrilFarb Not the point. The Rode Go 2 colored the audio much less.

I use mine for teaching/presenting, not always with a camera. Deity only has one charging cable in the box, Rode Wireless II has 2 (need to charge mic AND receiver at the same time, please!). Also Deity doesn’t have TRS only USB-C and TRRS and this doesn’t go into my mixer easily. I have both and find the Rode easier to use in my mixer with the XLR adapter. Yes love the on/off slider on Deity, way better but find the cables provided with the Deity limiting. The Rode is my go-to.

I believe (just my own opinion) that the rectangle shape is more like a shape of our devices that we got used to. For example cellphones and if we want to go further we got the walkman. They possess that rectangular shape that our brain got used to.
Peace! You Always have great content.

Such a great observation about our phones. Yes, that's probably exactly what I like about it.

@@AudioforContentCreators I do believe our brain are still wired to the things that we got used to. Even me, i like the rectangular shape compared to the square. Lastly, I know it’s over kill but our DOOR is rectangle😅
Peace to you and keep doing what you do.
