- HERE YOU WILL SEE THE FDNY BATTLING A 10-77 HIGH RISE FIRE IN THE CELLAR OF A MULTIPLE DWELLING ON EAST 36TH STREET IN THE TURTLE BAY AREA OF MANHATTAN IN NEW YORK CITY.
Great vid as always. Never, ever have I seen a probe tag on their helmet. Until this video, when you were filming the probe putting water down a vent , that runs along side the concrete wall, on the sidewalk. I’ve seen probably all most all of your videos, and I’ve never seen that before. Thanks for continuing to show the goings on at a fire scene. When you can’t see the fire.
❤your videos keep up the good work 6:36 😮 6:40
Nicholas is one of the best, but SO ARE YOU. Your vids are legendary and your ability to narrate whats going on is awesome!!!!!!
Outstanding video, good work by FDNY, also good to see the hydrant wasn't blocked. Stay well
Great job JJ and FDNY guys 👍🚒🔥
YES AND THANKS SO MUCH.....
@@THEMAJESTIRIUM1 You're welcome
Excellent job by FDNY This could have been a complete disaster but they got it out quickly Great video JJ --- Debbie
Awesome video John. Very interesting. Many different types of things going on. Fabulous FDNY. Great to see so many probies...🤗🤗
As always John, a great video. The probies look like they are 14y old! I must be getting old. Great job by all. 🇬🇧
HAHAHA! THEY ARE YOUNG INDEED MAXINE.....THANKS SO MUCH.....
Thanks JJ great video..These basement fires are time consuming... Great job FDNY...That smoke must have smelled awful...
It amazes me out pedestrians and drivers wander amongst the firefighters and equipment with little regard for safety at the scene. One woman was seen stepping over hoses on the sidewalk and between the firefighters while lost in conversation on her phone.
Great video JJ. Seems like the fire was far from the building and there was no radio chatter of searches.
Thanks for the video and the information.
YOUR WELCOME AND THANKS SO MUCH DAN.....
Great video thank you stay safe
All in a days work...Everyday. Love your videos!
Nicholas is one of the best I follow him great pictures, great job with this one my friend so many moving parts to this operation and another great job by the FDNY we came and we saw 2N2 my brother 42:06
We like the photo were a river of water flows out the door way with all that water the pump into them buildings.
RAC 1 on this run, set up in the Sun. They are never done. 👍🍎
YES IT IS AND THANKS SO MUCH.....
Probies probably have the cleanest fire gear
The FDNY don't wear gear on fire calls so ur lying
Is DC Corrado still in D3? Not seen ihm for a Long time in any of your Videos
Good as always. Thks Fr showing residents outside I like the human interest side. Did they tk their pets?
Great video jj
Great video John. Even when there’s nothing to see you make it interesting.
Procedure question. Why do they have to report the number of lines stretched and status of each line?
It lets those in command know what resources they have to fight the fire, and how to deploy men and/or equipment.
🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁 THE LION WAS HERE 🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁 No. 283
I believe dispatch said it was a fireproof building...John
Any idea where super chief is. Missing DC Corrado and his commmand presence.
Command post in poisen smoke, firefighters goes without scba in the sub, so i don't wonder if cancer say's hallo, in the future.
Two questions. What does a 10-77 mean/include. And what does "All hands" mean exactly. Thank you . 🙏🏼
"10-77" IS THE CODE FOR A FIRE IN A HIGH RISE BUILDING AND "ALL HANDS" MEANS THAT ALL THE UNITS THAT CAME IN ON THE FIRST ALARM, AND THE TRANSMISSION OF THE FIRE, ARE WORKING THE ACTUAL FIRE SCENE.....THANKS SO MUCH.....
Great thank you for the explanation. I enjoy your clips. Very informative. Best wishes guys 🙏🏼
Nice video John! How long is a member a Proby?
Typically one year. They basically shadow a member and learn from them. They also do a lot of ‘grunt’ work to show their willingness to do what is needed.
@@lisad1724 Thanks
How do you know who is a probie? What gives it away? Thanks. Hope your grub was good.
Red decal on the front of their helmets. It says Proby on it. It also has what company they belong to.
NO ITS ORANGE NOT RED. RED HELMET SHIELD IS FOR ladder company members.@lisad1724
Does anyone know where chief Corrado is?
What case the fire
Fuel, oxygen and ignition source.😎
This happened today?
Who are the guys walking around with just shorts on and no boots?
Engine chauffeurs. They drive the apparatus, connect hoses to get water from hydrants and operate the pump. Ladder chauffeurs drive the apparatus and usually gear up once they arrive on scene, so you can't tell them from the other guys.
Wierd question, why are there so many members on the hoseline as its being loaded onto the engine at the end? I could see four , maybe 8 people but that looks like literally everyone on the first alarm LOL
Its a teamwork moral booster. Even truckies will help pack hose. The flater and level you can keep it while packing keeps water and air out of it and allows for neat folds . Its a time consuming and very important job.
I loaded my share of hose, but our department was not even as big as a full working fire assignment in NYC is, so four people loading supply hose was a good number lol
Sure looks like over kill
Something like this can get outta control in a minute.
As quickly and unexpectedly as a high-rise fire can blow up, with the potential risk for loss of life you follow the overkill route. Additionally depending on how long the incident lasts, you have to have a fresh set of crews on hand to relieve the 1st response crew. You can Google it and find the exact responses different types of fires in New York City required. Here's the response for a hi-rise:
10-77 High-rise multiple dwelling fire. A notification signal transmitted when, in the judgment of the Incident Commander, conditions indicate a fire in a High-Rise Multiple Dwelling requires a total response of the following units:
4 Engine companies
4 Ladder companies
3 Battalion Chiefs
1 Deputy Chief
1 Rescue company
1 Squad company
1 High Rise Nozzle Engine Company IF none of the initial 4 Engine companies have a HRN
1 FAST Unit
1 CFR-D Engine company
Field Communications Unit
Field Comm Battalion
Safety Operating Battalion
Rescue Operations Battalion
1 Safety Officer
1 Ventilation Support Unit
Not over kill at all
Manhattan is population dense. It needs to be handled quick and hire rise fires wear crews out quick and companies need to be relieved.
go to kaz
go to lax
Why don't we see any female firefighters in any of your videos? Here in LA they are on almost every engine.
They are in several vids…but not every one.
I believe there is an company that is all women on one shift. They were highlighted on the local news a few years ago.
Stop calling fire engines units there fire companys
great video as always... your fan from Cleveland Ohio.....be safe
Over kill keeps small fires from becoming defensive fires 🚒🧯🪓🔥🔥🔥🔥
