The presidential Motorcade won't never use electric vehicles to transport the president or his people because they're not reliable , the president and his guy that carries the nuclear satchel would be in serious danger of ambush if the electric vehicle would stop working when they are in it.

Thing is, it was UNGA week, and the president is obviously a target. The convoy consists of a ambulance, two cars that deal with signaled attacks, a car that deals with biohazard, several beasts in the event of an attack, to keep attackers guessing and many other cars. This is a normal presidential motorcade. NYPD who shows off their excessive vehicle fleet is also there so yeah.
Wait until you hear about how there is a decoy plane for Air Force 1. Same with Marine 1 (which can be several backups).
